We construct analytically the signature operator for a new family of topological manifolds. This family contains the quasi-conformal manifolds and the topological manifolds modeled on germs of homeomorphisms of R^n possessing a derivative which is in L^p, with p > n(n+1)/2. We obtain an unbounded Fredholm module which defines a class in the K-homology of the manifold, the Chern character of which is the Hirzebruch polynomial in the Pontrjagin classes of the manifold. This generalizes previous works of N. Teleman for Lipschitz manifolds and of A. Connes, N. Teleman and D. Sullivan for quasi-conformal manifolds of even dimension.

We show that contact homology distinguishes infinitely many tight contact structures on any orientable, toroidal, irreducible 3-manifold. Heegaard Floer homologies and contact structures

Given a contact structure on a closed, oriented three-manifold $Y$, we describe an invariant which takes values in the three-manifold's Floer homology $\HFa$. This invariant vanishes for overtwisted contact structures and is non-zero for Stein fillable ones. The construction uses of Giroux's interpretation of contact structures in terms of open book decompositions, and the knot Floer homologies introduced in math.GT/0209056.

Deformations of colored sl(N) link homologies via foams

We generalize results of Lee, Gornik and Wu on the structure of deformed colored sl(N) link homologies to the case of non-generic deformations. To this end, we use foam technology to give a completely combinatorial construction of Wu's deformed colored sl(N) link homologies. By studying the underlying deformed higher representation theoretic structures and generalizing the Karoubi envelope approach of Bar-Natan and Morrison we explicitly compute the deformed invariants in terms of undeformed type A link homologies of lower rank and color.

On the Transverse Khovanov-Rozansky Homologies: Graded Module Structure and Stabilization

In arXiv:1308.3152, the author proved that the Khovanov-Rozansky homology $\mathcal{H}_N$ with potential $ax^{N+1}$ is an invariant for transverse links in the standard contact $3$-sphere. In the current paper, we study the $\mathbb{Z}_2 \oplus \mathbb{Z}^{\oplus 3}$-graded $\mathbb{Q}[a]$-module structure of $\mathcal{H}_N$, which leads to better understanding of the effect of stabilization on $\mathcal{H}_N$. As an application, we compute $\mathcal{H}_N$ for all transverse unknots.

The Superpolynomial for Knot Homologies

We propose a framework for unifying the sl(N) Khovanov-Rozansky homology (for all N) with the knot Floer homology. We argue that this unification should be accomplished by a triply graded homology theory which categorifies the HOMFLY polynomial. Moreover, this theory should have an additional formal structure of a family of differentials. Roughly speaking, the triply graded theory by itself captures the large N behavior of the sl(N) homology, and differentials capture non-stable behavior for small N, including knot Floer homology. Colored Kauffman Homology and Super-A-polynomials

We study the structural properties of colored Kauffman homologies of knots. Quadruple-gradings play an essential role in revealing the differential structure of colored Kauffman homology. Using the differential structure, the Kauffman homologies carrying the symmetric tensor products of the vector representation for the trefoil and the figure-eight are determined. In addition, making use of relations from representation theory, we also obtain the HOMFLY homologies colored by rectangular Young tableaux with two rows for these knots. Absolutely Graded Floer homologies and intersection forms for four-manifolds with boundary

In an earlier paper (math.SG/0110169), we introduced absolute gradings on the three-manifold invariants developed in math.SG/0101206 and math.SG/0105202. Cobordism category of plumbed 3-manifolds and intersection product structures

In this paper, we introduce a category of graded commutative rings with certain algebraic morphisms, to investigate the cobordism category of plumbed 3-manifolds. In particular, we define a non-associative distributive algebra that gives necessary conditions for an abstract morphism between the homologies of two plumbed 3-manifolds to be realized geometrically by a cobordism. Here we also consider the homology cobordism monoid, and give a necessary condition using w-invariants for the homology 3-spheres to belong to the inertia group associated to some homology 3-spheres.
