We prove that, for the quon algebra, which interpolates between the Bose and Fermi statistics and depends on a free parameter q,it is possible to build an su(2) irreducible representation. One of the consequences of this fact is that the quons couple via the same angular momentum coupling rules obeyed by ordinary bosons and fermions.
Quon language is a 3D picture language that we can apply to simulate mathematical concepts. We introduce the surface algebras as an extension of the notion of planar algebras to higher genus surface. We prove that there is a unique one-parameter extension. The 2D defects on the surfaces are quons, and surface tangles are transformations. We use quon language to simulate graphic states that appear in quantum information, and to simulate interesting quantities in modular tensor categories. This simulation relates the pictorial Fourier duality of surface tangles and the algebraic Fourier duality …
We study strongly graded vertex algebras and their strongly graded modules, which are conformal vertex algebras and their modules with a second, compatible grading by an abelian group satisfying certain grading restriction conditions. We consider a tensor product of strongly graded vertex algebras and its tensor product strongly graded modules. We prove that a tensor product of strongly graded irreducible modules for a tensor product of strongly graded vertex algebras is irreducible, and that such irreducible modules, up to equivalence, exhaust certain naturally defined strongly graded irreduc…
The Iwahori-Hecke algebra of type A acts on tensor product space of the natural representation of the quantum superalgebra U_q(gl(m,n)). We show this action of the Hecke algebra and the action of U_q(gl(m,n)) on the same space determine commuting actions of each other. Together with this result and Gyoja's q-analogue of the Young symmetrizer, we construct a highest weight vector of each irreducible summmand of the tensor product space.
Defining conditions for irreducible tensor operators associated with the unitary irreducible corepresentations of compact quantum group algebras are deduced within the framework of the abstract carrier space formalism. It is shown that there are {\em{two}} types of irreducible tensor operator, which may be called `ordinary' and `twisted'. The consistency of the definitions is demonstrated, and various consequences are deduced, including generalizations of the Wigner-Eckart theorem for both the ordinary and twisted operators. Examples of irreducible tensor operators for the standard deformation…
In a categorification of tensor products of fundamental representations of quantum sl(k) via highest weight categories, the indecomposable tilting modules descend to the canonical basis. Since projective functors map tilting modules to tilting modules, the coefficients of the canonical basis of tensor products of finite dimensional, irreducible representations under the action of the Chevalley generators are positive.
Tensor products of irreducible representations of the Jordanian quantum algebras U_h(sl(2)) and U_h(su(1,1)) are considered. For both the highest weight finite dimensional representations of U_h(sl(2)) and lowest weight infinite dimensional ones of U_h(su(1,1)), it is shown that tensor product representations are reducible and that the decomposition rules to irreducible representations are exactly the same as those of corresponding Lie algebras.
We study representations of $U_q(su(1,1))$ that can be considered as quantum analogs of tensor products of irreducible *-representations of the Lie algebra $su(1,1)$. We determine the decomposition of these representations into irreducible *-representations of $U_q(su(1,1))$ by diagonalizing the action of the Casimir operator on suitable subspaces of the representation spaces. This leads to an interpretation of the big $q$-Jacobi polynomials and big $q$-Jacobi functions as quantum analogs of Clebsch-Gordan coefficients.
We show the existence of a finite group $G$ having an irreducible character $χ$ with Frobenius-Schur indicator $ν_2(χ){=}{+}1$ such that $χ^2$ has an irreducible constituent $φ$ with $ν_2(φ){=}{-}1$. This provides counterexamples to the positivity conjecture in rational CFT and a conjecture of Zhenghan Wang about pivotal fusion categories.
The defining conditions for the irreducible tensor operators associated with the unitary irreducible corepresentions of compact quantum group algebras are deduced first in both the right and left regular coaction formalisms. In each case it is shown that there are {\em{two}} types of irreducible tensor operator, which may be called `ordinary' and `twisted'. The consistency of the definitions is demonstrated, and various consequences are deduced, including generalizations of the Wigner-Eckart theorem for both the ordinary and twisted operators. Also included are discussions (within the regular …
We consider the quantized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov difference equation (qKZ) with values in a tensor product of irreducible sl(2) modules, the equation defined in terms of rational R-matrices. We solve the equation in terms of multidimensional q-hypergeometric integrals. We identify the space of solutions of the qKZ equation with the tensor product of the corresponding modules over the quantum group $U_qsl(2)$. We compute the monodromy of the qKZ equation in terms of the trigonometric R-matrices.
The purpose of this paper is to study categorifications of tensor products of finite dimensional modules for the quantum group for sl(2). The main categorification is obtained using certain Harish-Chandra bimodules for the complex Lie algebra gl(n). For the special case of simple modules we naturally deduce a categorification via modules over the cohomology ring of certain flag varieties. Further geometric categorifications and the relation to Steinberg varieties are discussed. We also give a categorical version of the quantised Schur-Weyl duality and an interpretation of the (dual) canonical …
We construct N-complexes of non completely antisymmetric irreducible tensor fields on $\mathbb R^D$ generalizing thereby the usual complex (N=2) of differential forms. These complexes arise naturally in the description of higher spin gauge fields. Although, for $N\geq 3$, the generalized cohomology of these N-complexes is non trivial, we prove a generalization of the Poincaré lemma. Several results which appeared in various contexts are shown to be particular cases of this generalized Poincaré lemma.
We study the tensor product $W$ of any number of "elementary" irreducible modules $V_1,...,V_k$ over the Yangian of the general linear Lie algebra. Each of these modules is determined by a skew Young diagram and a complex parameter. For any indices $i,j=1,...,k$ there is a canonical non-zero intertwining operator $A_{ij}$ between the tensor products $V_i\otimes V_j$ and $V_j\otimes V_i$. This operator is defined up to a scalar multipler. We show that the tensor product $W$ is irreducible, if and only if all operators $A_{ij}$ with $i<j$ are invertible. This implies that the Yangian module $W$ …
An algorithm is described to compute the canonical basis of an irreducible module over a quantized enveloping algebra of a finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebra. The algorithm works for modules that are constructed as a submodule of a tensor product of modules with known canonical bases.
Using the fusion product of the representations of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ we construct a set of the integrable highest weight $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$-modules $L^D$, depending on the vector $D\in\mathbb{N}^{k+1}$. In a special cases of $D$ our modules are isomorphic to the irreducible $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$-modules $L_{i,k}$. We construct a basis of the $L^D$ and study the decomposition of $L^D$ on the irreducible components. We also write a formulas for the characters of $L^D$.
We show that in ADE type the trace of Webster's categorification of a tensor product of irreducibles for the quantum group is isomorphic to a tensor product of Weyl modules for the current algebra $\dot{U}(\mathfrak{g}[t])$. This extends a result of Beliakova, Habiro, Lauda, and Webster who showed that the trace of the categorified quantum group $\dot{\mathcal{U}}^*(\mathfrak{g})$ is isomorphic to $\dot{U}(\mathfrak{g}[t])$, and the trace of a cyclotomic quotient of $\dot{\mathcal{U}}^*(\mathfrak{g})$, which categorifies a single irreducible for the quantum group, is isomorphic to a Weyl modul…
The Fock space of $m+p$ bosonic and $n+q$ fermionic quantum oscillators forms a unitarizable module of the general linear superalgebra $gl_{m+p|n+q}$. Its tensor powers decompose into direct sums of infinite dimensional irreducible highest weight $gl_{m+p|n+q}$-modules. We obtain an explicit decomposition of any tensor power of this Fock space into irreducibles, and develop a character formula for the irreducible $gl_{m+p|n+q}$-modules arising in this way.
In this paper, we consider the necessary and sufficient conditions for the tensor product of the fundamental representations for the restricted quantum loop algebras of type A at roots of unity to be irreducible.
We consider the quantum double D(G) of a compact group G, following an earlier paper. We use the explicit comultiplication on D(G) in order to build tensor products of irreducible *-representations. Then we study their behaviour under the action of the R-matrix, and their decomposition into irreducible *-representations. The example of D(SU(2)) is treated in detail, with explicit formulas for direct integral decomposition (`Clebsch-Gordan series') and Clebsch-Gordan coefficients. We point out possible physical applications.
We construct projective covers of irreducible V-modules in the category of grading-restricted generalized V-modules when V is a vertex operator algebra satisfying the following conditions: 1. V is C_{1}-cofinite in the sense of Li. 2. There exists a positive integer N such that the differences between the real parts of the lowest conformal weights of irreducible V-modules are bounded by N and such that the associative algebra A_{N}(V) is finite dimensional. This result shows that the category of grading-restricted generalized V-modules is a finite abelian category over C. Using the existence o…
We consider the Whittaker modules $M_{1}(λ,μ)$ for the Weyl vertex algebra $M$, constructed in arXiv:1811.04649, where it was proved that these modules are irreducible for each finite cyclic orbifold $M^{\Bbb Z_n}$. In this paper, we consider the modules $M_{1}(λ,μ)$ as modules for the ${\Bbb Z}$-orbifold of $M$, denoted by $M^0$. $M^0$ is isomorphic to the vertex algebra $\mathcal W_{1+\infty, c=-1} = \mathcal M(2) \otimes M_1(1)$ which is the tensor product of the Heisenberg vertex algebra $M_1(1)$ and the singlet algebra $\mathcal M(2)$. Furthermore, these modules are also modules of the Li…
