Some introductory concepts and basic definitions of the Lie superalgebras and their quantum deformations are exposed. Especially the induced representation methods in both cases are described. Based on the Kac representation theory we have succeeded in constructing representations of several higher rank superalgebras. When representations of quantum superalgebras are concerned, we have developed a method which can be applied not only to the one-parametric quantum deformations but also to the multi-parametric ones. As an intermediate step the Gel'fand-Zetlin basis description is extended to the case of superalgebras and their quantum deformations. Our approach also allows us to establish in consistent ways defining relations of quantum (super)algebras. Some illustrations are given.
We consider a superextension of the extended Jordanian twist, describing nonstandard quantization of anti-de-Sitter ($AdS$) superalgebra $osp(1|4)$ in the form of Hopf superalgebra. The super-Jordanian twisting function and corresponding basic coproduct formulae for the generators of $osp(1|4)$ are given in explicit form. The nonlinear transformation of the classical superalgebra basis not modifying the defining algebraic relations but simplifying coproducts and antipodes is proposed. Our physical application is to interpret the new super-Jordanian deformation of $osp(1|4)$ superalgebra as def…
The purpose of this paper is to study Virasoro extensions of the q-deformed Witt Hom-Lie superalgebra. Moreover, we provide the cohomology and deformations of the Ramond Hom-superalgebra and special Ramond Hom-superalgebra.
We discuss quantum deformations of Jordanian type for Lie superalgebras. These deformations are described by twisting functions with support from Borel subalgebras and they are multiparameter in the general case. The total twists are presented in explicit form for the Lie superalgebras sl(m|n) and osp(1|2n). We show also that the classical $r$-matrix for a light-cone deformation of D=4 super-Poincare algebra is of Jordanian type and a corresponding twist is given in explicit form.
We present a large class of supersymmetric classical r-matrices, describing the supertwist deformations of Poincare and Euclidean superalgebras. We consider in detail new family of four supertwists of N=1 Poincare superalgebra and provide as well their Euclidean counterpart. The proposed supertwists are better adjusted to the description of deformed D=4 Euclidean supersymmetries with independent left-chiral and right-chiral supercharges. They lead to new quantum superspaces, obtained by the superextension of twist deformations of spacetime providing Lie-algebraic noncommutativity of space-time…
Triangular deformation of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(1|4) is defined by chains of twists. Corresponding classical r-matrix is obtained by a contraction procedure from the trigonometric r-matrix. The carrier space of the constant r-matrix is the Borel subalgebra.
The notion of "N = 2 vertex superalgebra with two odd formal variables" is presented, the main axiom being a Jacobi identity with odd formal variables in which an N=2 superconformal shift is incorporated into the usual Jacobi identity for a vertex superalgebra. It is shown that as a consequence of these axioms, the N=2 vertex superalgebra is naturally a representation of the Lie algebra isomorphic to the three-dimensional algebra of superderivations with basis consisting of the usual conformal operator and the two N=2 superconformal operators. The notion of N=2 Neveu-Schwarz vertex operator su…
The $κ$-deformed $D=4$ Poincar{é} superalgebra written in Hopf superalgebra form is transformed to the basis with classical Lorentz subalgebra generators. We show that in such a basis the $κ$-deformed $D=4$ Poincare superalgebra can be written as graded bicrossproduct. We show that the $κ$-deformed $D=4$ superalgebra acts covariantly on $κ$-deformed chiral superspace.
The recently proposed jordanian quantization of the Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)$ due to the embedding $sl(2) \subset osp(1|2)$, is extended including odd generators into the twisting element $\cal F$. This deformation is obtained as a contraction of the quantum superalgebra ${\cal U}_{q}(osp(1|2))$.
The two-parametric quantum superalgebra $U_{p,q}[gl(2/2)]$ and its induced representations are considered. A method for constructing all finite-dimensional irreducible representations of this quantum superalgebra is also described in detail. It turns out that finite-dimensional representations of the two-parametric $U_{p,q}[gl(2/2)]$, even at generic deformation parameters, are not simply trivial deformations from those of the classical superalgebra $gl(2/2)$, unlike the one-parametric cases.
The two-parametric quantum superalgebra $U_{p,q}[gl(2/1)]$ is consistently defined. A construction procedure for induced representations of $U_{p,q}[gl(2/1)]$ is described and allows us to construct explicitly all (typical and nontypical) finite-dimensional representations of this quantum superalgebra. In spite of some specific features, the present approach is similar to a previously developed method [1] which, as shown here, is applicable not only to the one-parametric quantum deformations but also to the multi-parametric ones.
The twisting function describing a nonstandard (super-Jordanian) quantum deformation of $osp(1|2)$ is given in explicite closed form. The quantum coproducts and universal R-matrix are presented. The non-uniqueness of the twisting function as well as two real forms of the deformed $osp(1|2)$ superalgebras are considered. One real quantum $osp(1|2)$ superalgebra is interpreted as describing the $κ$-deformation of D=1, N=1 superconformal algebra, which can be applied as a symmetry algebra of N=1 superconformal mechanics.
We discuss two-parameter deformations of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). These deformations are Hopf algebras. One deformation called Drinfeldian is a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simplest rational and trigonometric r-matrices. Another deformation (discussed only for the case $g=sl_{2}$) is a twisting of the usual Yangian $Y_η(sl_{2})$.
We present the class of deformations of simple Euclidean superalgebra, which describe the supersymmetrization of some Lie algebraic noncommutativity of D=4 Euclidean space-time. The presented deformations are generated by the supertwists. We provide new explicit formulae for a chosen twisted D=4 Euclidean Hopf superalgebra and describe the corresponding quantum covariant deformation of chiral Euclidean superspace.
We consider Poisson superalgebras with constant nondegenerate bracket realized on the smooth Grassmann-valued functions with compact supports in R^{2n}. The deformations with even and odd deformation parameters of these superalgebras are presented for n>1.
We construct highest-weight modules and a Yangian extension of the centrally extended sl(1|1)^2 superalgebra, that is a symmetry of the worldsheet scattering associated with the AdS3/CFT3 duality. We demonstrate that the R-matrix intertwining atypical modules is of a trigonometric type. We also consider a quantum deformation of this superalgebra, its modules, and obtain a quantum affine extension of the Drinfeld-Jimbo type that describes a deformed worldsheet scattering.
The Drinfeld twist is applyed to deforme the rank one orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The twist element is the same as for the $sl(2)$ Lie algebra due to the embedding of the $sl(2)$ into the superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The R-matrix has the direct sum structure in the irreducible representations of $osp(1|2)$. The dual quantum group is defined using the FRT-formalism. It includes the Jordanian quantum group $SL_ξ(2)$ as subalgebra and Grassmann generators as well.
We present a classification of the possible quantum deformations of the supergroup $GL(1|1)$ and its Lie superalgebra $gl(1|1)$. In each case, the (super)commutation relations and the Hopf structures are explicitly computed. For each $R$ matrix, one finds two inequivalent coproducts whether one chooses an unbraided or a braided framework while the corresponding structures are isomorphic as algebras. In the braided case, one recovers the classical algebra $gl(1|1)$ for suitable limits of the deformation parameters but this is no longer true in the unbraided case.
An elliptic two-parameter deformation of the (universal enveloping superalgebra of) affine Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)^{(1)}$ is proposed in terms of free boson realization. This deformed superalgebra is shown to fit in the framework of infinite Hopf family of superalgebras, a generalization of the infinite Hopf family of algebras proposed earlier by the authors. The trigonometric and rational degenerations are briefly discussed.
The quantum superalgebra $U_q[gl(2/1)]$ is given as both a Drinfel'd--Jimbo deformation of $U[gl(2/1)]$ and a Hopf superalgebra. Finite--dimensional representations of this quantum superalgebra are constructed and investigated in a basis of its even subalgebra $U_q[gl(2)\oplus gl(1)]$. The present method for constructing representations of a quantum superalgebra combines previously suggested ones for the cases of superalgebras and quantum superalgebras, and, therefore, has an advantage in comparison with the latter.
The two-parametric quantum superalgebra $U_{pq}[gl(2/2)]$ and its representations are considered. All finite-dimensional irreducible representations of this quantum superalgebra can be constructed and classified into typical and nontypical ones according to a proposition proved in the present paper. This proposition is a nontrivial deformation from the one for the classical superalgebra gl(2/2), unlike the case of one-parametric deformations.
We introduce the elliptic superalgebra $U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}(M|N))$ as one parameter deformation of the quantum superalgebra $U_q(\hat{sl}(M|N))$. For an arbitrary level $k \neq 1$ we give the bosonization of the elliptic superalgebra $U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}(1|2))$ and the screening currents that commute with $U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}(1|2))$ modulo total difference.
The purposes of this paper is to investigate the properties of the quantum extended strange superalgebra $\tilde{P}_{Q}(n)$ when his deformation parameter $Q$ goes to a root of unity.
In this paper, we introduce and study the quantum deformations of the cluster superalgebra. Then we prove the quantum version of the Laurent phenomenon for the super-case.
Hom-Lie superalgebras, which can be considered as a deformation of Lie superalgebras, are $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded generalization of Hom-Lie algebras. In this paper, we prove that there is only the trivial Hom-Lie superalgebra structure over a finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebra.
We construct a new family of irreducible modules over any basic classical affine Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra which are induced from modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra. We also obtain irreducible deformations of these modules for the quantum affine superalgebra of type A.
A triangular quantum deformation of $ osp(2/1) $ from the classical $r$-matrix including an odd generator is presented with its full Hopf algebra structure. The deformation maps, twisting element and tensor operators are considered for the deformed $ osp(2/1)$. It is also shown that its subalgebra generated by the Borel subalgebra is self-dual.
Quantum superalgebras $su_{q}(m\mid n)$ are studied in the framework of $R$-matrix formalism. Explicit parametrization of $L^{(+)}$ and $L^{(-)}$ matrices in terms of $su_{q}(m\mid n)$ generators are presented. We also show that quantum deformation of nonsimple superalgebra $su(n\mid n)$ requires its extension to $u(n\mid n)$.
We analyse the Witten-Woronowicz's type deformations of the Lie superalgebra osp(2,2) and obtain a deformation parametrized by three independent parameters. For some of these algebras, finite dimensional representations are formulated in terms of a finite difference operator, providing operators that are relevant for the classification of quasi exactly solvable, finite difference equations. Similar representations are also pointed out for the Lie superalgebra osp(1,2).
For a restricted Lie superalgebra g over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 2, we generalize the deformation method of Premet and Skryabin to obtain results on the p-power and 2-power divisibility of dimensions of g-modules. In particular, we give a new proof of the Super Kac-Weisfeiler conjecture for basic classical Lie superalgebras. The new proof allows us to improve optimally the assumption on p. We also establish a semisimplicity criterion for the reduced enveloping superalgebras associated with semisimple p-characters for all basic classical Lie superalgebras using the t…
The one-dimensional Hubbard model is an exceptional integrable spin chain which is apparently based on a deformation of the Yangian for the superalgebra gl(2|2). Here we investigate the quantum-deformation of the Hubbard model in the classical limit. This leads to a novel classical r-matrix of trigonometric kind. We derive the corresponding one-parameter family of Lie bialgebras as a deformation of the affine gl(2|2) Kac-Moody superalgebra. In particular, we discuss the affine extension as well as discrete symmetries, and we scan for simpler limiting cases, such as the rational r-matrix for th…
The Racah problem for the quantum superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}_{q}(1|2)$ is considered. The intermediate Casimir operators are shown to realize a $q$-deformation of the Bannai-Ito algebra. The Racah coefficients of $\mathfrak{osp}_q(1|2)$ are calculated explicitly in terms of basic orthogonal polynomials that $q$-generalize the Bannai-Ito polynomials. The relation between these $q$-deformed Bannai-Ito polynomials and the $q$-Racah/Askey-Wilson polynomials is discussed.
Aspects of the algebraic structure and representation theory of the quantum affine superalgebras with symmetrizable Cartan matrices are studied. The irreducible integrable highest weight representations are classified, and shown to be deformations of their classical counterparts. It is also shown that Jimbo type quantum affine superalgebras can be obtained by deforming universal enveloping algebras of ordinary (i.e., non-graded) affine algebras supplemented by certain parity operators.
In the present paper we construct all typical finite-dimensional representations of the quantum Lie superalgebra $U_{q}[gl(2/2)]$ at generic deformation parameter $q$. As in the non-deformed case the finite-dimensional $U_{q}[gl(2/2)]$-module $W^{q}$ obtained is irreducible and can be decomposed into finite-dimensional irreducible $U_{q}[gl(2)\oplus gl(2)]$-submodules $V^{q}_{k}$
We give a realization of the quantum affine Lie superalgebras U_q(A(M,N))^(1) in terms of anyons defined on a one or two-dimensional lattice, the deformation parameter q being related to the statistical parameter $ν$ of the anyons by q = exp(iπν). The construction uses anyons contructed from usual fermionic oscillators and deformed bosonic oscillators. As a byproduct, realization deformed in any sector of the quantum superalgebras U_q(A(M,N)) is obtained.
We introduce a new family of superalgebras, the quantum walled Brauer-Clifford superalgebras ${\mathsf {BC}}_{r,s}(q)$. The superalgebra ${\mathsf {BC}}_{r,s}(q)$ is a quantum deformation of the walled Brauer-Clifford superalgebra ${\mathsf {BC}}_{r,s}$ and a super version of the quantum walled Brauer algebra. We prove that ${\mathsf {BC}}_{r,s}(q)$ is the centralizer superalgebra of the action of ${\mathfrak U}_{q}({\mathfrak q}(n))$ on the mixed tensor space $\mathbf{V}_{q}^{r,s}=\mathbf{V}_{q}^{\otimes r} \otimes (\mathbf{V}_q^*)^{\otimes s}$ when $n \ge r+s$, where ${\mathbf V}_{q}=\mathbb…

The type-I simple Lie-superalgebras are $sl(m|n)$ and $osp(2|2n)$. We study the quantum deformations of their untwisted affine extensions $U_q(sl(m|n)^{(1)})$ and $U_q(osp(2|2n)^{(1)})$. We identify additional relations between the simple generators (``extra $q$-Serre relations") which need to be imposed to properly define $\uqgh$ and $U_q(osp(2|2n)^{(1)})$. We present a general technique for deriving the spectral parameter dependent R-matrices from quantum affine superalgebras. We determine the R-matrices for the type-I affine superalgebra $U_q(sl(m|n)^{(1)})$ in various representations, ther…
By the supersymmetrization of a simple algebraic technique proposed in \cite{LuTo2017} we obtain the complete classification of all basic (nonisomorphic) quantum deformations for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2;\mathbb{C})$ and its pseudoreal and real forms in terms of the classical $r$-matrices. In particular, we prove that pseudoreal compact form has only one quantum deformation (standart $q$-analog), and the $D=3$, $N=1$ Lorentz supersymmetry, which is the non-compact real form of $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2;\mathbb{C})$, has four different Hopf-algebraic quantum deformatio…
The paper contains essentially two new results. Physically, a deformation of the parastatistics in a sense of quantum groups is carried out. Mathematically, an alternative to the Chevalley description of the quantum orthosymplectic superalgebra U_q[osp(2n+1/2m)] in terms of $m$ pairs of deformed parabosons and $n$ pairs of deformed parafermions is outlined.
We consider integrable vertex models whose Boltzmann weights (R-matrices) are trigonometric solutions to the graded Yang-Baxter equation. As is well known the latter can be generically constructed from quantum affine superalgebras $U_{q}(\hat g)$. These algebras do not form a symmetry algebra of the model for generic values of the deformation parameter $q$ when periodic boundary conditions are imposed. If $q$ is evaluated at a root of unity we demonstrate that in certain commensurate sectors one can construct non-abelian subalgebras which are translation invariant and supercommute with the tra…
As a natural generalization quantum Schur algebras associated with the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group, we introduce the quantum Schur superalgebra of type Q associated with the Hecke-Clifford superalgebra, which, by definition, is the endomorphism algebra of the induced module over the Hecke-Clifford superalgebra from certain permutation modules over the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group. We will describe certain integral bases for these superalgebras in terms of matrices and will establish the base change property for them. We will also identify the quantum Schur superalgebra of type…
The construction approach proposed in the previous paper Ref. 1 allows us there and in the present paper to construct at generic deformation parameter $q$ all finite--dimensional representations of the quantum Lie superalgebra $U_{q}[gl(2/2)]$. The finite--dimensional $U_{q}[gl(2/2)]$-modules $W^{q}$ constructed in Ref. 1 are either irreducible or indecomposible. If a module $W^{q}$ is indecomposible, i.e. when the condition (4.41) in Ref. 1 does not hold, there exists an invariant maximal submodule of $W^{q}$, to say $I_{k}^{q}$, such that the factor-representation in the factor-module $W^{q}…
In the present paper, a class of new simple modules over the $N=1$ Ramond algebra are constructed, which are induced from simple modules over some finite dimensional solvable Lie superalgebras. These new modules are simple restricted modules over the $N=1$ Ramond algebra. Combined with the result in \cite{L1}, a classification of simple weak $ψ$-twisted $\bar W(0,c)$-modules under certain conditions is also given. At last, some examples of simple restricted $N=1$ Ramond modules as various versions of Whittaker modules are presented (classical Whittaker modules were studied in \cite{LPX}).
Series of finite dimensional representations of the superalgebras spl(p,q) can be formulated in terms of linear differential operators acting on a suitable space of polynomials. We sketch the general ingredients necessary to construct these representations and present examples related to spl(2,1) and spl(2,2). By revisiting the products of projectivised representations of sl(2), we are able to construct new sets of differential operators preserving some space of polynomials in two or more variables. In particular, this allows to express the representation of spl(2,1) in terms of matrix differe…
This is a review of concepts of noncommutative supergeometry - namely Hilbert superspace, C*-superalgebra, quantum supergroup - and corresponding results. In particular, we present applications of noncommutative supergeometry in harmonic analysis of Lie supergroups, non-formal deformation quantization of supermanifolds, quantum field theory on noncommutative spaces; and we give explicit examples such as deformation of flat superspaces, noncommutative supertori, solvable topological quantum supergroups.
The centrally extended su(2|2) superalgebra is an asymptotic symmetry of the light-cone string sigma model on AdS5 x S5. We consider an evaluation representation of the conventional Yangian built over a particular 16-dimensional long representation of the centrally extended su(2|2). Interestingly, we find that S-matrices compatible with this evaluation representation do not exist. On the other hand, by requiring centrally extended su(2|2) invariance and explicitly solving the Yang-Baxter equation, we find a scattering matrix for long-short representations of the Lie superalgebra. We notice tha…
In this paper, we introduce non-standard deformations of (1+2)- and (2+1)-superspaces via a contraction using standard deformations of them. This deformed superspaces denoted by ${\mathbb A}_h^{1|2}$ and ${\mathbb A}_{h'}^{2|1}$, respectively. We find a two-parameter $R$-matrix satisfying quantum Yang-Baxter equation and thus obtain a {\it new} two-parameter non-standard deformation of the supergroup ${\rm GL}(1|2)$. Finally, we get a new superalgebra derived from the super-Hopf algebra of functions on the quantum superspace ${\mathbb A}_{p,q}^{1|2}$.
We introduce a multiparametric quantum superspace with $m$ even generators and $n$ odd generators whose commutation relations are in the sense of Manin such that the corresponding algebra has a Hopf superalgebra. By using its Hopf superalgebra structure, we give a bicovariant differential calculus and some related structures such as Maurer-Cartan forms and the correspoinding vector fields. It is also shown that there exists a quantum supergroup related with these vector fields. Morever, we introduce the logarithmic extension of this quantum superspace in the sense that we extend this space by …
Combined $(q,h)$-deformations proposed by Kupershmidt and Ballesteros-Herranz-Parashar are studied. In each case a transformation is shown to lead to an equivalent, standard $q$-deformation. We briefly indicate that appropriate singular limits of the same type of transformations can however lead from standard biparametric $(p,q)$-deformations to non-hybrid but biparametric nonstandard $(g,h)$ ones. Finally a case of hybrid $(q,h)$-deformation is recalled, related to the superalgebra $GL(1|1)$.
Drinfeld twist is applied to the Lie algebra gl(2) so that a two-parametric deformation of it is obtained, which is identical to the Jordanian deformation of the gl(2) obtained by Aneva et al. The same twist element is applied to deform the Lie superalgebra sl(1/2), since the gl(2) is embedded into the sl(1/2). By making use of the FRT-formalism, we construct a deformation of the Lie supergroup $ SL(1/2). $
The cohomology groups of Lie superalgebras and, more generally, of color Lie algebras, are introduced and investigated. The main emphasis is on the case where the module of coefficients is non-trivial. Two general propositions are proved, which help to calculate the cohomology groups. Several examples are included to show the peculiarities of the super case. For L = sl(1|2), the cohomology groups H^1(L,V) and H^2(L,V), with V a finite-dimensional simple graded L-module, are determined, and the result is used to show that H^2(L,U(L)) (with U(L) the enveloping algebra of L) is trivial. This impl…
The centrally extended superalgebra psu(2|2)xR^3 was shown to play an important role for the integrable structures of the one-dimensional Hubbard model and of the planar AdS/CFT correspondence. Here we consider its quantum deformation U_q(psu(2|2)xR^3) and derive the fundamental R-matrix. From the latter we deduce an integrable spin chain Hamiltonian with three independent parameters and the corresponding Bethe equations to describe the spectrum on periodic chains. We relate our Hamiltonian to a two-parametric Hamiltonian proposed by Alcaraz and Bariev which can be considered a quantum deforma…
We construct two-parameter deformation of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). This new quantum Hopf algebra called the Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ can be considered as a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simple rational and trigonometric r-matrices. The Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ contains $U_{q}(g)$ as a Hopf subalgebra, moreover $U_{q}(g[u])$ and $Y_η(g)$ are its limit quantum algebras when the $D_{qη}(g)$ deformation parame…
We give a combinatorial construction for the canonical bases of the $\pm$-parts of the quantum enveloping superalgebra $\bfU(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ and discuss their relationship with the Kazhdan-Lusztig bases for the quantum Schur superalgebras $\bsS(m|n,r)$ introduced in \cite{DR}. We will also extend this relationship to the induced bases for simple polynomial representations of $\bfU(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$.
