Multiparametric quantum gl(2): Lie bialgebras, quantum R-matrices and non-relativistic limits

Multiparametric quantum deformations of $gl(2)$ are studied through a complete classification of $gl(2)$ Lie bialgebra structures. From them, the non-relativistic limit leading to harmonic oscillator Lie bialgebras is implemented by means of a contraction procedure. New quantum deformations of $gl(2)$ together with their associated quantum $R$-matrices are obtained and other known quantizations are recovered and classified. Several connections with integrable models are outlined.

Lie bialgebra quantizations of the oscillator algebra and their universal $R$--matrices

All coboundary Lie bialgebras and their corresponding Poisson--Lie structures are constructed for the oscillator algebra generated by $\{å,\ap,\am,\bb\}$. Quantum oscillator algebras are derived from these bialgebras by using the Lyakhovsky and Mudrov formalism and, for some cases, quantizations at both algebra and group levels are obtained, including their universal $R$--matrices.

Harmonic Oscillator Lie Bialgebras and their Quantization

All possible Lie bialgebra structures on the harmonic oscillator algebra are explicitly derived and it is shown that all of them are of the coboundary type. A non-standard quantum oscillator is introduced as a quantization of a triangular Lie bialgebra, and a universal $R$-matrix linked to this new quantum algebra is presented.

A selection principle in deformation quantization

Deformation quantization produces families of mathematically equivalent quantization procedures from which one must select the physically meaningful ones. As a selection principle we propose that the procedure must allow enough `observable' energy distributions, i.e., ones for which no pure quantum state will appear with negative probability and must further have the property that for these the uncertainty in the probability distribution of the quantum states must not exceed that of the original distribution. We investigate Refined Algebraic Quantization (RAQ) with group averaging in a constrained Hamiltonian system with unreduced phase space T^*R^4 and gauge group SL(2,R). The reduced phase space M is connected and contains four mutually disconnected `regular' sectors with topology R x S^1, but these sectors are connected to each other through an exceptional set where M is not a manifold and where M has non-Hausdorff topology. Strict Quantization of Solvable Symmetric Spaces

This work is a contribution to the area of Strict Quantization (in the sense of Rieffel) in the presence of curvature and non-Abelian group actions. More precisely, we use geometry to obtain explicit oscillatory integral formulae for strongly invariant strict deformation quantizations of a class of solvable symplectic symmetric spaces. Each of these quantizations gives rise to a field of (pre)-C*-algebras whose fibers are function algebras which are closed under the deformed product. The symmetry group of the symmetric space acts on each fiber by C*-algebra automorphisms.

Strict deformation quantization of locally convex algebras and modules

In this work various symbol spaces with values in a sequentially complete locally convex vector space are introduced and discussed. On extended umbral calculus, oscillator-like algebras and Generalized Clifford Algebra

Some quantum algebras build from deformed oscillator algebras may be described in terms of a particular case of extended umbral calculus. We give here an example of a specific relation between such certain quantum algebras and generalized Clifford algebras also in the context of azimuthal quantization of angular momentum which was interpreted afterwards as the finite dimensional quantum mechanics .
