We investigate the transformed Hopf algebras in Hopf Galois extensions. The final goal of this paper is to introduce certain triangular Hopf algebras associated with restricted Frobenius Lie algebras over a field of characteristic $p>0$.
The aim of this paper is to introduce and to investigate the analogues of torsors for compact quantum groups and to study their role in representation theory. Let A be a unitarizable Hopf *-algebra: we show that there is a category equivalence between *-fibre functors on unitary A-comodules and A-*-Galois extension endowed with a positive Haar measure.
In this note we construct bi-*-Galois objects linking the quantized universal enveloping algebras associated to the Lie groups SU(2), E(2) and SU(1,1), where E(2) denotes the Lie group of Euclidian transformations of the plane, and we show how one can create (formal) quantum homogeneous spaces for these quantum groups by integrating the associated Miyashita-Ulbrich action on certain subquotient *-algebras.
We relate the Belavin--Drinfeld cohomologies (twisted and untwisted) that have been introduced in the literature to study certain families of quantum groups and Lie bialgebras over a non algebraically closed field $\mathbb K$ of characteristic 0 to the standard non-abelian Galois cohomology $H^1(\mathbb K, \mathbf H)$ for a suitable algebraic $\mathbb K$-group $\mathbf H.$ The approach presented allows us to establish in full generality certain conjectures that were known to hold for the classical types of the split simple Lie algebras.
The first example of a quantum group was introduced by P.~Kulish and N.~Reshetikhin. In their paper "Quantum linear problem for the sine-Gordon equation and higher representations" published in Zap. Nauchn. Sem. LOMI, 1981, Volume 101 (English version: Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1983, 23:4), they found a new algebra which was later called $U_q (sl(2))$. Their example was developed independently by V.~Drinfeld and M.~Jimbo, which resulted in the general notion of quantum group. Recently, the so-called Belavin-Drinfeld cohomologies (twisted and untwisted) have been introduced in the literatu…
It is shown that every quantum principal bundle with a compact structure group is a Hopf-Galois extension. This property naturally extends to the level of general differential structures, so that every differential calculus over a quantum principal bundle with a compact structure group is a graded-differential variant of the Hopf-Galois extension.
In this article, we investigate the notion of a Galois object for a locally compact quantum group M. Such an object consists of a von Neumann algebra N equipped with an ergodic integrable coaction of M on N, such that the crossed product is a type I factor. We show how to construct from such a coaction a new locally compact quantum group P, which we call the reflection of M along N. By way of application, we prove the following statement: any twisting of a locally compact quantum group by a unitary 2-cocycle is again a locally compact quantum group.
We combine the projective geometry approach to Schroedinger equations on the circle and differential Galois theory with the theory of Poisson Lie groups to construct a natural Poisson structure on the space of wave functions (at the zero energy level). Applications to KdV-like nonlinear equations are discussed. The same approach is applied to second order difference operators on a one-dimensional lattice, yielding an extension of the lattice Poisson Virasoro algebra.
Let F be a field, G a finite group, and Map(G,F) the Hopf algebra of all set-theoretic maps G->F. If E is a finite field extension of F and G is its Galois group, the extension is Galois if and only if the canonical map resulting from viewing E as a Map(G,F)-comodule is an isomorphism. Similarly, a finite covering space is regular if and only if the analogous canonical map is an isomorphism. In this paper we extend this point of view to actions of compact quantum groups on unital C*-algebras. We prove that such an action is free if and only if the canonical map (obtained using the underlying H…
Discrete subfactors include a particular class of infinite index subfactors and all finite index ones. A discrete subfactor is called local when it is braided and it fulfills a commutativity condition motivated by the study of inclusion of Quantum Field Theories in the algebraic Haag-Kastler setting. In [BDG21], we proved that every irreducible local discrete subfactor arises as the fixed point subfactor under the action of a canonical compact hypergroup. In this work, we prove a Galois correspondence between intermediate von Neumann algebras and closed subhypergroups, and we study the subfact…
We investigate the nature of divergences in quantum field theory, showing that they are organized in the structure of a certain `` motivic Galois group'', which is uniquely determined and universal with respect to the set of physical theories. The renormalization group can be identified canonically with a one parameter subgroup. The group is obtained through a Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. Its representations classify equisingular flat vector bundles, where the equisingularity condition is a geometric formulation of the fact that in quantum field theory the counterterms are independent of th…
