K_0 and the dimension filtration for p-torsion Iwasawa modules

Let G be a compact p-adic analytic group. We study K-theoretic questions related to the representation theory of the completed group algebra kG of G with coefficients in a finite field k of characteristic p. We show that if M is a finitely generated kG-module whose dimension is smaller than the dimension of the centralizer of any p-regular element of G, then the Euler characteristic of M is trivial. Writing F_i for the abelian category consisting of all finitely generated kG-modules of dimension at most i, we provide an upper bound for the rank of the natural map from the Grothendieck group of F_i to that of F_d, where d denotes the dimension of G. We show that this upper bound is attained in some special cases, but is not attained in general.

Torsion pairs and filtrations in abelian categories with tilting objects

Given a noetherian abelian category $\mathcal Z$ of homological dimension two with a tilting object $T$, the abelian category $\mathcal Z$ and the abelian category of modules over $\text{End} (T)^{\textit{op}}$ are related by a sequence of two tilts; we give an explicit description of the torsion pairs involved. We define three disjoint subcategories with no maps between them in one direction, such that each object has a unique filtation with factors in these categories. Koszul duality for Iwasawa algebras modulo p

Cohomological properties of the smooth globalization of a Harish-Chandra module

We prove the finiteness of the cohomology of torsion-free lattices in a semisimple Lie group of real rank one with coefficients in the distribution vector globalization of Harish-Chandra modules. The cohomology is expressed in terms of automorphic and cusp forms. We also consider the Lie-algebra cohomology of these globalizations for the nilpotent part of the Iwasawa decomposition of the group.

Toric moment mappings and Riemannian structures

Coadjoint orbits for the group SO(6) parametrize Riemannian G-reductions in six dimensions, and we use this correspondence to interpret symplectic fibrations between these orbits, and to analyse moment polytopes associated to the standard Hamiltonian torus action on the coadjoint orbits. The theory is then applied to describe so-called intrinsic torsion varieties of Riemannian structures on the Iwasawa manifold.

Quantum tilting modules over local rings

We show that tilting modules for quantum groups over local Noetherian domains exist and that the indecomposable tilting modules are parametrized by their highest weight. For this we introduce a model category ${\mathcal X}={\mathcal X}_{\mathscr A}(R)$ associated with a Noetherian ${\mathbb Z}[v,v^{-1}]$-domain ${\mathscr A}$ and a root system $R$.
