We present a description of a new kind of the deformed canonical commutation relations, their representations and generated by them Heisenberg-Weyl algebra. This deformed algebra allows us to derive operations of the Hopf algebra structure: comultiplication, counit and antipode. We discuss properties of a discrete spectrum of the Hamiltonian of the deformed harmonic oscillator corresponding to this oscillator-like system.
The spectral measure of the position (momentum) operator $X$ for $q$-deformed oscillator is calculated in the case of the indetermine Hamburger moment problem. The exposition is given for concrete choice of generators for $q$-oscillator algebra, although developed technique apply for every other cases with indetermine moment problem. The Stieltjes transformation $m(z)$ of spectral measure is expressed in terms of the entries of Jacobi matrix $X$ only. The direct connection between values of parameters labeling the spectral measures and related selfadjoint extensions of $X$ is established.
We construct and discuss the Fock-space representation for a deformed oscillator with "peculiar" statistics. We show that corresponding algebra represents deformed supersymmetric oscillator.
Two types of the coherent states for two parameter deformed multimode oscillator system are investigated. Moreover, two parameter deformed $gl(n)$ algebra and deformed symmetric states are constructed.
The classification of the representations of the generalized deformed oscillator algebra is given together with several comments about possibility of introducing a coproduct structure in some type of deformed oscillator algebra.
A star-product formalism describing deformations of the standard quantum mechanical harmonic oscillator is introduced. A number of existing generalized oscillators occur as particular choises of star-products between the elements of the ordinary oscillator algebra. Star dynamics and coherent states are introduced and studied.
A $q$--deformed anharmonic oscillator is defined within the framework of $q$--deformed quantum mechanics. It is shown that the Rayleigh--Schrödinger perturbation series for the bounded spectrum converges to exact eigenstates and eigenvalues, for $q$ close to 1. The radius of convergence becomes zero in the undeformed limit.
The connection between braided Hopf algebra structure and the quantum group covariance of deformed oscillators is constructed explicitly. In this context we provide deformations of the Hopf algebra of functions on SU(1,1). Quantum subgroups and their representations are also discussed.
In this paper the coherent state for $gl_q(n)$-covariant oscillators is constructed and is shown to satisfy the completeness relation. And the q-analogue of quantum mechanics in n dimensions is obtained by using $gl_q(n)$ oscillators.
The various relations between $q$-deformed oscillators algebras and the $q$-deformed $su(2)$ algebras are discussed. In particular, we exhibit the similarity of the $q$-deformed $su(2)$ algebra obtained from $q$-oscillators via Schwinger construction and those obtained from $q$-Holstein-Primakoff transformation and show how the relation between $su_{\sqrt{q}}(2)$ and Hong Yan $q$-oscillator can be regarded as an special case of Inöuë- Wigner contraction. This latter observation and the imposition of positive norm requirement suggest that Hong-Yan $q$-oscillator algebra is different from the us…
Different generators of a deformed oscillator algebra give rise to one-parameter families of $q$-exponential functions and $q$-Hermite polynomials related by generating functions. Connections of the Stieltjes and Hamburger classical moment problems with the corresponding resolution of unity for the $q$-coherent states and with 'coordinate' operators - Jacobi matrices, are also pointed out.
Generalizing the case of the usual harmonic oscillator, we look for Bargmann representations corresponding to deformed harmonic oscillators. Deformed harmonic oscillator algebras are generated by four operators $a, a^\dagger, N$ and the unity 1 such as $[a,N] = a, [a^\dagger,N] = -a^\dagger$, $a^\dagger a = ψ(N)$ and $aa^\dagger =ψ(N+1)$. We discuss the conditions of existence of a scalar product expressed with a true integral on the space spanned by the eigenstates of $a$ (or $a^\dagger$). We give various examples, in particular we consider functions $ψ$ that are linear combinations of $q^N$,…
Deformed Harmonic Oscillator Algebras are generated by four operators, two mutually adjoint $a$ and $a^\dagger$, and two self-adjoint $N$ and the unity $1$ such as: $[a,N] = a, [a^\dagger, N]= -a^\dagger, a^\dagger a = ψ(N)$ and $aa^\dagger =ψ(N+1)$. The Bargmann Hilbert space is defined as a space of functions, holomorphic in a ring of the complex plane, equipped with a scalar product involving a true integral. In a Bargmann representation, the operators of a Deformed Harmonic Oscillator Algebra act on a Bargmann Hilbert space and the creation (or the annihilation operator) is the multiplicat…
The main notions of the quantum groups: coproduct, action and coaction, representation and corepresentation are discussed using simplest examples: $GL_q(2)$, $sl_q(2)$, $q$-oscillator algebra ${\cal A}(q)$, and reflection equation algebra. The Gauss decompositions of quantum groups and their realizations in terms of\, ${\cal A}(q)$ are given.
It is proved that quasi-exactly soluble potentials corresponding to an oscillator with harmonic, quartic and sextic terms, for which the $n+1$ lowest levels of a given parity can be determined exactly, may be approximated by WKB equivalent potentials corresponding to deformed anharmonic oscillators of SU$_q$(1,1) symmetry, which have been used for the description of vibrational spectra of diatomic molecules. This connection allows for the immediate approximate determination of the levels of the same parity lying above the lowest $n+1$ known levels, as well as of all levels of the opposite pari…
A differential calculus is set up on a deformation of the oscillator algebra. It is uniquely determined by the requirement of invariance under a seven-dimensional quantum group. The quantum space and its associated differential calculus are also shown to be invariant under a nine generator quantum group containing the previous one.
A mapping between the operators of the bosonic oscillator and the Lorentz rotation and boost generators is presented. The analog of this map in the $q$-deformed regime is then applied to $q$-deformed bosonic oscillators to generate a $q$-deformed Lorentz algebra, via an inverse of the standard chiral decomposition. A fundamental representation, and the co-algebra structure, are given, and the generators are reformulated into $q$-deformed rotations and boosts. Finally, a relation between the $q$-boson operators and a basis of $q$-deformed Minkowski coordinates is noted.
Several physical systems (two identical particles in two dimensions, isotropic oscillator and Kepler system in a 2-dim curved space) and mathematical structures (quadratic algebra QH(3), finite W algebra $\bar {\rm W}_0$) are shown to posses the structure of a generalized deformed su(2) algebra, the representation theory of which is known. Furthermore, the generalized deformed parafermionic oscillator is identified with the algebra of several physical systems (isotropic oscillator and Kepler system in 2-dim curved space, Fokas--Lagerstrom, Smorodinsky--Winternitz and Holt potentials) and mathe…
We prove that Bargmann representations exist for some deformed harmonic oscillators that admit non-Fock representations. In specific cases, we explicitly obtain the resolution of the identity in terms of a true integral on the complex plane. We prove on explicit examples that Bargmann representations cannot always be found, particularly when the coherent states do not exist in the whole complex plane.

We present various oscillator representations of the q-deformed su(1,1) algebra such as the Holstein-Primakoff, the Dyson, the Fock-Bargmann, the anyonic, and the parabose oscillator representations and discuss their coherent states with the resolution of unity.
The generalized deformed oscillator schemes introduced as unified frameworks of various deformed oscillators are proved to be equivalent, their unified representation leading to a correspondence between the deformed oscillator and the N=2 supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY-QM) scheme. In addition, several physical systems (two identical particles in two dimensions, isotropic oscillator and Kepler system in a 2-dim curved space) and mathematical structures (quadratic algebra QH(3), finite W algebra $\bar {\rm W}_0$) are shown to possess the structure of a generalized deformed su(2) algebra,…
The Tsallis $q$-exponential function $e_q(x) = (1+(1-q)x)^{\frac{1}{1-q}}$ is found to be associated with the deformed oscillator defined by the relations $\left[N,a^\dagger\right] = a^\dagger$, $[N,a] = -a$, and $\left[a,a^\dagger\right] = ϕ_T(N+1)-ϕ_T(N)$, with $ϕ_T(N) = N/(1+(q-1)(N-1))$. In a Bargmann-like representation of this deformed oscillator the annihilation operator $a$ corresponds to a deformed derivative with the Tsallis $q$-exponential functions as its eigenfunctions, and the Tsallis $q$-exponential functions become the coherent states of the deformed oscillator. When $q = 2$ th…
We study the relations between $q$-deformations and $q$-coherent states of the single oscillator representations for $su_q(1,1)$ and $su_q(2)$ algebras; Dyson and Holstein-Primakoff type in terms of Biedenharn, Macfarlane and anyonic oscilators. We also discuss the related Fock-Bargmann $q$-derivative and integration.
It is proved that quasi-exactly soluble potentials (QESPs) corresponding to an oscillator with harmonic, quartic and sextic terms, for which the $n+1$ lowest levels of a given parity can be determined exactly, may be approximated by WKB equivalent potentials corresponding to deformed anharmonic oscillators of SU$_q$(1,1) symmetry, which have been used for the description of vibrational spectra of diatomic molecules. This connection allows for the immediate approximate determination of all levels of the QESPs.
We formulate a conjecture, stating that the algebra of $n$ pairs of deformed Bose creation and annihilation operators is a factor-algebra of $U_q[osp(1/2n)]$, considered as a Hopf algebra, and prove it for $n=2$ case. To this end we show that for any value of $q$ $U_q[osp(1/4)]$ can be viewed as a superalgebra, freely generated by two pairs $B_1^\pm$, $B_2^\pm$ of deformed para-Bose operators. We write down all Hopf algebra relations, an analogue of the Cartan-Weyl basis, the "commutation" relations between the generators and a basis in $U_q[osp(1/2n)]$ entirely in terms of $B_1^\pm$, $B_2^\pm…
q-Deformed harmonic oscillator algebra for real and root of unity values of the deformation parameter is discussed by using an extension of the number concept proposed by Gauss, namely the Q-numbers. A study of the reducibility of the Fock space representation which explores the properties of the Gauss polynomials is presented. When the deformation parameter is a root of unity, an interesting result comes out in the form of a reducibility scheme for the space representation which is based on the classification of the primitive or non-primitive character of the deformation parameter. An applica…
Fractional supersymmetric quantum mechanics of order $λ$ is realized in terms of the generators of a generalized deformed oscillator algebra and a Z$_λ$-grading structure is imposed on the Fock space of the latter. This realization is shown to be fully reducible with the irreducible components providing $λ$ sets of minimally bosonized operators corresponding to both unbroken and broken cases. It also furnishes some examples of Z$_λ$-graded uniform topological symmetry of type (1, 1, ..., 1) with topological invariants generalizing the Witten index.
The representation theory of deformed oscillator algebras, defined in terms of an arbitrary function of the number operator~$N$, is developed in terms of the eigenvalues of a Casimir operator~$C$. It is shown that according to the nature of the $N$ spectrum, their unitary irreducible representations may fall into one out of four classes, some of which contain bosonic, fermionic or parafermionic Fock-space representations as special cases. The general theory is illustrated by classifying the unitary irreducible representations of the Arik-Coon, Chaturvedi-Srinivasan, and Tamm-Dancoff oscillator…
A recursive deformation of the boson commutation relation is introduced. Each step consists of a minimal deformation of a commutator $[a,\ad]=f_k(\cdots;\no)$ into $[a,\ad]_{q_{k+1}}=f_k(\cdots;\no)$, where $\cdots$ stands for the set of deformation parameters that $f_k$ depends on, followed by a transformation into the commutator $[a,\ad]=f_{k+1}(\cdots,\, q_{k+1};\no)$ to which the deformed commutator is equivalent within the Fock space. Starting from the harmonic oscillator commutation relation $[a,\ad]=1$ we obtain the Arik-Coon and the Macfarlane-Biedenharn oscillators at the first and se…
The dynamical algebra of the q-deformed harmonic oscillator is constructed. As a result, we find the free deformed Hamiltonian as well as the Hamiltonian of the deformed oscillator as a complicated, momentum dependent interaction Hamiltonian in terms of the usual canonical variables. Furthermore we construct a well-defined algebra SU$_q$(1,1) with consistent conjugation properties and comultiplication. We obtain non lowest weight representations of this algebra.
The $D$-dimensional $(β, β')$-two-parameter deformed algebra introduced by Kempf is generalized to a Lorentz-covariant algebra describing a ($D+1$)-dimensional quantized space-time. In the D=3 and $β=0$ case, the latter reproduces Snyder algebra. The deformed Poincaré transformations leaving the algebra invariant are identified. It is shown that there exists a nonzero minimal uncertainty in position (minimal length). The Dirac oscillator in a 1+1-dimensional space-time described by such an algebra is studied in the case where $β'=0$. Extending supersymmetric quantum mechanical and shape-invari…
We consider the reflection equation algebra for a finite dimensional R-matrix for the $(h,w)$-deformed Heisenberg algebra ${\cal U}_{h,w}(h(4))$. A representation of the reflection matrix $K$ is constructed using the matrix generators $L^{(\pm)}$ of the ${\cal U}_{h,w}(h(4))$ algebra. A series of representations of the K-matrix then may be generated by using the coproduct rules of the ${\cal U}_{h,w}(h(4))$ algebra. The complementary condition necessary for combining two distinct solutions of the reflection equation algebra yields the braiding relations between these two sets of generators. Th…
The representation theory of the generalized deformed oscillator algebras (GDOA's) is developed. GDOA's are generated by the four operators ${1,a,a^†,N}$. Their commutators and Hermiticity properties are those of the boson oscillator algebra, except for $[a, a^†]_q = G(N)$, where $[a,b]_q = a b - q b a$ and $G(N)$ is a Hermitian, analytic function. The unitary irreductible representations are obtained by means of a Casimir operator $C$ and the semi-positive operator $a^† a$. They may belong to one out of four classes: bounded from below (BFB), bounded from above (BFA), finite-dimentional (FD),…
It is shown that q-deformed quantum mechanics (systems with q-deformed Heisenberg commutation relations) can be interpreted as an ordinary quantum mechanics on Kaehler manifolds, or as a quantum theory with second (or first)- class constraints.
The unified $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformation of a number of well-known deformed oscillator algebras is introduced. The deformation is constructed by imputing new free parameters into the structure functions and by generalizing the defining relations of these algebras. The generalized Jordan-Schwinger and Holstein-Primakoff realizations of the $U_{pq}^{αγl}(su(2))$ algebra by the generalized $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformed operators are found. The generalized $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformation of the two-dimensional conformal field theory is established. By introducing the $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-operator product expa…
The q-deformed harmonic oscillator is studied in the light of q-deformed phase space variables. This allows a formulation of the corresponding Hamiltonian in terms of the ordinary canonical variables $x$ and $p$. The spectrum shows unexpected features such as degeneracy and an additional part that cannot be reached from the ground state by creation operators. The eigenfunctions show lattice structure, as expected.
