Necessary and sufficient conditions under which the Cesàro--Orlicz sequence space $\cfi$ is nontrivial are presented. It is proved that for the Luxemburg norm, Cesàro--Orlicz spaces $\cfi$ have the Fatou property. Consequently, the spaces are complete. It is also proved that the subspace of order continuous elements in $\cfi$ can be defined in two ways. Finally, criteria for strict monotonicity, uniform monotonicity and rotundity (= strict convexity) of the spaces $\cfi$ are given.
We characterize Cesàro-Orlicz function spaces $Ces_φ$ containing isomorphic copy of $l^\infty$. We also describe the subspaces $(Ces_φ)_a$ of all order continuous elements of $Ces_φ$. Finally, we study the monotonicity structure of the spaces $Ces_φ$ and $(Ces_φ)_a$.
In this paper we introduced the generalized difference Cesaro sequence spaces of fuzzy real numbers defined by Orlicz function. We study some topological properties of these spaces. We obtain some inclusion relations involving these sequence spaces. These notions generalize many notions on difference Cesaro sequence spaces.
We characterize Cesàro-Orlicz function spaces $Ces_φ$ containing order isomorphically isometric copy of $l^\infty$. We discuss also some useful applicable conditions sufficient for the existence of such a copy.
The goal of this paper is to present a complete characterisation of points of order continuity in abstract Cesàro function spaces $CX$ for $X$ being a symmetric function space. Under some additional assumptions mentioned result takes the form $(CX)_a = C(X_a)$. We also find simple equivalent condition for this equality which in the case of $I=[0,1]$ comes to $X\neq L^\infty$. Furthermore, we prove that $X$ is order continuous if and only if $CX$ is, under assumption that the Cesàro operator is bounded on $X$. This result is applied to particular spaces, namely: Cesàro-Orlicz function spaces, C…
In this paper we study some basic properties, like boundedness and closedness of range, of multiplication conditional expectation(MCE) operators between different Orlicz spaces.
In this paper we discuss the structure of Henstock-Orlicz space with locally Henstock integrable functions. The weak Henstock-Orlicz spaces on $\mathbb{R}^n$ and some basic properties of the weak Henstock-Orlicz spaces are studied. We obtain some necessary and sufficient conditions for the inclusion properties of these spaces.
We give sufficient conditions for the continuity in norm of the translation operator in the Musielak-Orlicz LM spaces. An application to the convergence in norm of approximate identities is given, whereby we prove density results of the smooth functions in LM, in both modular and norm topologies. These density results are then applied to obtain basic topological properties.
Noting the important role the abstract $L^p$ space has played in the development of random normed modules, in this paper we introduce and study the Orlicz space generated from a random normed module. First, we give a basic dual space representation theorem which identify the dual of the Orlicz heart of a random normed module with the Orlicz space generated from the random conjugate space. Then, we establish the respective equivalence relations of the strict convexity and uniform convexity of this abstract Orlicz space to the random strict convexity and random uniform convexity of the underlyin…
Anisotropic generalized Orlicz spaces have been investigated in many recent papers, but the basic assumptions are not as well understood as in the isotropic case. We study the greatest convex minorant of anisotropic $Φ$-functions and prove the equivalence of two widely used conditions in the theory of generalized Orlicz spaces, usually called (A1) and (M). This provides a more natural and easily verifiable condition for use in the theory of anisotropic generalized Orlicz spaces for results such as Jensen's inequality which we obtain as a corollary.
In this paper, the concept of Musielak N-functions and Musielak-Orlicz spaces generated by them well be introduced. Facts and results of the measure theory will be applied to consider properties, calculus and basic approximation of Musielak N-functions and their Musielak-Orlicz spaces. Finally, the relationship between Musielak N-functions and Musielak-Orlicz functions and thier Musielak-Orlicz spaces will be considered using facts and results of the measure theory too
In this paper, we develop a basic theory of Orlicz affine and geominimal surface areas for convex and $s$-concave functions. We prove some basic properties for these newly introduced functional affine invariants and establish related functional affine isoperimetric inequalities as well as functional Santaló type inequalities.
It is not usual to characterize an operator valued series via completeness of multiplier spaces. In this study, by using a series of bounded linear operators, we introduce the space $M^\infty_{R}\big(\sum_k T_k\big)$ of Riesz summability which is a generalization of the Cesàro summability. Therefore, we give the completeness criteria of these spaces with $c_0(X)$-multiplier convergent operator series. It is a natural consequence that one can characterize the completeness of a normed space through $M^\infty_{R}\big(\sum_k T_k\big)$ which will be assumed that is complete for every $c_0(X)$-multi…
In this paper, we study the noncommutative Orlicz space $L_φ(\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},τ)$, which generalizes the concept of noncommutative $L^{p}$ space, where $\mathcal{M}$ is a von Neumann algebra, and $φ$ is an Orlicz function. As a modular space, the space $L_φ(\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},τ)$ possesses the Fatou property, and consequently, it is a Banach space. In addition, a new description of the subspace $E_φ(\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},τ)=\overline{\mathcal{M}\bigcap L_φ(\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},τ)}$ in $L_φ(\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},τ)$, which is closed under the norm topology and dense under the…
This paper aims to develop basic theory for the dual Orlicz $L_ϕ$ affine and geominimal surface areas for star bodies, which belong to the recent dual Orlicz-Brunn-Minkowski theory for star bodies. Basic properties for these new affine invariants will be provided. Moreover, related Orlicz affine isoperimetric inequality, cyclic inequality, Santaló style inequality and Alexander-Fenchel type inequality are established.
Let $\mathcal{X}$ be a space of homogenous type and $φ:\ \mathcal{X}\times[0,\infty) \to[0,\infty)$ a growth function such that $φ(\cdot,t)$ is a Muckenhoupt weight uniformly in $t$ and $φ(x,\cdot)$ an Orlicz function of uniformly upper type 1 and lower type $p\in(0,1]$. In this article, the authors introduce a new Musielak-Orlicz BMO-type space $\mathrm{BMO}^φ_A(\mathcal{X})$ associated with the generalized approximation to the identity, give out its basic properties and establish its two equivalent characterizations, respectively, in terms of the spaces $\mathrm{BMO}^φ_{A,\,\mathrm{max}}(\ma…
In this paper we introduce the notion of a quasi-modular and we prove that the respective Minkowski functional of the unit quasi-modular ball becomes a quasi-norm. In this way, we refer to and complete the well-known theory related to the notions of a modular and a convex modular that lead to the F-norm and to the norm, respectively. We use the obtained results to consider basic properties of quasi-normed Calderón-Lozanovski\uı spaces $E_φ$, where the lower Matuszewska-Orlicz index $α_φ$ plays the key role. We also give a number of theorems concerning different copies of $l^{\infty}$ in the sp…
