There is a well-known presentation for finite and affine Weyl groups called the {\it presentation by conjugation}. Recently, it has been proved that this presentation holds for certain sub-classes of extended affine Weyl groups, the Weyl groups of extended affine root systems. In particular, it is shown that if nullity is $\leq 2$, an $A_1$-type extended affine Weyl group has the presentation by conjugation. We set up a general framework for the study of simply laced extended affine Weyl groups. As a result, we obtain certain necessary and sufficient conditions for an $A_1$-type extended affine Weyl group of arbitrary nullity to have the presentation by conjugation. This gives an affirmative answer to a conjecture that there are extended affine Weyl groups which are not presented by "presentation by conjugation".
We give several necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of {\it the presentation by conjugation} for a non-simply laced extended affine Weyl group. We invent a computational tool by which one can determine simply the existence of the presentation by conjugation for an extended affine Weyl group. As an application, we determine the existence of the presentation by conjugation for a large class of extended affine Weyl groups.
In this paper, we offer a presentation for the Weyl group of an affine reflection system $R$ of type $A_1$ as well as a presentation for the so called hyperbolic Weyl group associated with an affine reflection system of type $A_1$. Applying these presentations to extended affine Weyl groups, and using a description of the center of the hyperbolic Weyl group, we also give a new finite presentation for an extended affine Weyl group of type $A_1$. Our presentation for the (hyperbolic) Weyl group of an affine reflection system of type $A_1$ is the first non-trivial presentation given in such a gen…
Extended affine Weyl groups are the Weyl groups of extended affine root systems. Finite presentations for extended affine Weyl groups are known only for nullities $\leq 2$, where for nullity 2 there is only one known such presentation. We give a finite presentation for the class of simply laced extended affine Weyl groups. Our presentation is nullity free if rank $>1$ and for rank 1 it is given for nullities $\leq 3$. The generators and relations are given uniformly for all types, and for a given nullity they can be read from the corresponding finite Cartan matrix and the semilattice involved …
We define Poisson structures on certain transversal slices to conjugacy classes in complex simple algebraic groups introduced in arXiv:0809.0205. These slices are associated to the elements of the Weyl group, and the Poisson structures on them are analogous to the Poisson structures introduced by J. de Boer, T. Tjin and A. Premet in papers arXiv:hep-th/9211109 and http://www.maths.man.ac.uk/DeptWeb/Homepages/aap/Reprints/Transverse.ps on the Slodowy slices in complex simple Lie algebras. The quantum deformations of these Poisson structures are known as W-algebras of finite type. As an applicat…
In \cite{fl}, the authors get a new presentation of two-parameter quantum algebra $U_{v,t}(\mathfrak{g})$. Their presentation can cover all Kac-Moody cases. In this paper, we construct a suitable Hopf pairing such that $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ can be realized as Drinfeld double of certain Hopf subalgebras with respect to the Hopf pairing. Using Hopf pairing, we construct a $R$-matrix for $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ which will be used to give the Schur-Weyl dual between $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ and Hecke algebra $H_{k}(v,t)$. Furthermore, using the Fusion procedure we construct the primitive orthogonal idempotents of …
We derive a family of solutions to the tetrahedron equation using the RTT presentation of a two parametric quantized algebra of regular functions on an upper triangular subgroup of GL(n). The key ingredients of the construction are the longest element of the Weyl group, the quantum dilogarithm function, and central elements of the quantized division algebra of rational functions on the subgroup in question.
We investigate the structure of the double Ringel-Hall algebras associated with cyclic quivers and its connections with quantum loop algebras of $\mathfrak{gl}_n$, affine quantum Schur algebras and affine Hecke algebras. This includes their Drinfeld-Jimbo type presentation, affine quantum Schur-Weyl reciprocity, representations of affine quantum Schur algebras, and connections with various existing works by Lusztig, Varagnolo-Vasserot, Schiffmann, Hubery, Chari-Pressley, Frenkel-Mukhin, etc. We will also discuss conjectures on a realization of Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson type and Lusztig type…
We give an explicit expression for the central elements of affine Hecke algebras of type A in the Coxeter presentation, in terms of (parabolic) affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. Our approach is based on a version of quantum affine Schur-Weyl duality involving the Hall algebra of a cyclic quiver, on the theory of canonical bases and on the higher-level q-deformed Fock spaces recently introduced by Uglov.
For an algebraically closed field $K$, we investigate a class of noncommutative $K$-algebras called connected quantized Weyl algebras. Such an algebra has a PBW basis for a set of generators $\{x_1,\dots,x_n\}$ such that each pair satisfies a relation of the form $x_ix_j=q_{ij}x_jx_i+r_{ij}$, where $q_{ij}\in K^*$ and $r_{ij}\in K$, with, in some sense, sufficiently many pairs for which $r_{ij}\neq 0$. We classify connected quantized Weyl algebras, showing that there are two types, linear and cyclic, each depending on a single parameter $q$. When $q$ is not a root of unity we determine the pri…
The standard Poisson structure on the rectangular matrix variety M_{m,n}(C) is investigated, via the orbits of symplectic leaves under the action of the maximal torus T of GL_{m+n}(C). These orbits, finite in number, are shown to be smooth irreducible locally closed subvarieties of M_{m,n}(C), isomorphic to intersections of dual Schubert cells in the full flag variety of GL_{m+n}(C). Three different presentations of the T-orbits of symplectic leaves in M_{m,n}(C) are obtained - (a) as pullbacks of Bruhat cells in GL_{m+n}(C) under a particular map; (b) in terms of rank conditions on rectangula…
The Schur-Weyl duality, which started as the study of the commuting actions of the symmetric group $S_d$ and $\mathrm{GL}(n,\mathbb{C})$ on $V^{\otimes d}$ where $V=\mathbb{C}^n$, was extended by Drinfeld and Jimbo to the context of the finite Iwahori-Hecke algebra $H_d(q^2)$ and quantum algebras $U_q(\mathrm{gl}(n))$, on using universal $R$-matrices, which solve the Yang-Baxter equation. There were two extensions of this duality in the Hecke-quantum case: to the affine case, by Chari and Pressley, and to the super case, by Moon and by Mitsuhashi. We complete this chain of works by completing …
