We establish the following max-plus analogue of Minkowski's theorem. Any point of a compact max-plus convex subset of $(R\cup\{-\infty\})^n$ can be written as the max-plus convex combination of at most $n+1$ of the extreme points of this subset. We establish related results for closed max-plus convex cones and closed unbounded max-plus convex sets. In particular, we show that a closed max-plus convex set can be decomposed as a max-plus sum of its recession cone and of the max-plus convex hull of its extreme points.

The Geometric Structure of Max-Plus Hemispaces

Given a set S endowed with a convexity structure, a hemispace is a convex subset of S which has convex complement. We recall that R^n_{max} is a semimodule over the max-plus semifield. A convexity structure of current interest is provided by R^n_{max} naturally endowed with the max-plus (or tropical) convexity. On $k$-diametral point configurations in Minkowski spaces

The structure of $k$-diametral point configurations in Minkowski $d$-space is shown to be closely related to the properties of $k$-antipodal point configurations in $\mathbb{R}^d$. In particular, the maximum size of $k$-diametral point configurations of Minkowski $d$-spaces is obtained for given $k\geq 2$ and $d\geq 2$ generalizing Petty's results (Proc. Am. Math. Best approximation in max-plus semimodules

We establish new results concerning projectors on max-plus spaces, as well as separating half-spaces, and derive an explicit formula for the distance in Hilbert's projective metric between a point and a half-space over the max-plus semiring, as well as explicit descriptions of the set of minimizers. As a consequence, we obtain a cyclic projection type algorithm to solve systems of max-plus linear inequalities.

The max-plus Martin boundary

We develop an idempotent version of probabilistic potential theory. The goal is to describe the set of max-plus harmonic functions, which give the stationary solutions of deterministic optimal control problems with additive reward. The analogue of the Martin compactification is seen to be a generalisation of the compactification of metric spaces using (generalised) Busemann functions. Multiple Criteria Problems over Minkowski Balls

Under study are some vector optimization problems over the space of Minkowski balls, i.e., symmetric convex compact subsets in Euclidean space. A typical problem requires to achieve the best result in the presence of conflicting goals; e.g., given the surface area of a symmetric convex body $\mathfrak x$, we try to maximize the volume of $\mathfrak x$ and minimize the width of $\mathfrak x$ simultaneously.

Convexity of tropical polytopes

We study the relationship between min-plus, max-plus and Euclidean convexity for subsets of $\mathbb{R}^n$. We introduce a construction which associates to any max-plus convex set with compact projectivisation a canonical matrix called its dominator. The dominator is a Kleene star whose max-plus column space is the min-plus convex hull of the original set.
