We define and study the Kirillov--Reshetikhin modules for algebras of type $G_2$. We compute the graded character of these modules and verify that they are in accordance with the conjectures in math.QA/981202 and math.QA/0102113. These results give the first complete description of families of Kirillov--Reshetikhin modules whose isotypical components have multiplicity bigger than one.
In this paper we give a direct proof of the equality of certain generating function associated with tensor product multiplicities of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules for each simple Lie algebra g. Together with the theorems of Nakajima and Hernandez, this gives the proof of the combinatorial version of the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture, which gives tensor product multiplicities in terms of restricted fermionic summations.
We define a family of graded restricted modules for the polynomial current algebra associated to a simple Lie algebra. We study the graded character of these modules and show that they are the same as the graded characters of certain Demazure modules. In particular, we see that the specialized characters are the same as those of the Kirillov Reshetikhin modules for quantum affine algebras.
Assuming the existence of the perfect crystal bases of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules over simply-laced quantum affine algebras, we construct certain perfect crystals for twisted quantum affine algebras, and also provide compelling evidence that the constructed crystals are isomorphic to the conjectural crystal bases of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules over twisted quantum affine algebras.
We study the classical limit of a tensor product of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules over a quantum loop algebra, and show that it is realized from the classical limits of the tensor factors using the notion of fusion products. In the process of the proof, we also give defining relations of the fusion product of the (graded) classical limits of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules.
In this note, inspired by the proof of the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture, we consider tensor products of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules of a fixed node and various level. We fix a positive integer and attach to each of its partitions such a tensor product. We show that there exists an embedding of the tensor products, with respect to the classical structure, along with the reverse dominance relation on the set of partitions.
We show that a crystal base exists for any Kirillov-Reshetikhin module of type $D_n^{(1)}$, generalizing the result of [(KMN)^2] for the end nodes of the Dynkin diagram of $D_n$.
In this paper we prove that every Kirillov-Reshetikhin module of type $G_2^{(1)}$ and $D_4^{(3)}$ has a crystal pseudobase (crystal base modulo signs), by applying the criterion for the existence of a crystal pseudobase due to Kang et al.
Using the methods of Kang et al. and recent results on the characters of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules by Nakajima and Hernandez, the existence of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals B^{r,s} is established for all nonexceptional affine types. We also prove that the crystals B^{r,s} of type B_n^{(1)}, D_n^{(1)}, and A_{2n-1}^{(2)} are isomorphic to recently constructed combinatorial crystals for r not a spin node.
The conjecturally perfect Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR) crystals are known to be isomorphic as classical crystals to certain Demazure subcrystals of crystal graphs of irreducible highest weight modules over affine algebras. Under some assumptions we show that the classical isomorphism from the Demazure crystal to the KR crystal, sends zero arrows to zero arrows. This implies that the affine crystal structure on these KR crystals is unique.
This paper provides a brief review of the relations between the Feigin-Loktev conjecture on the dimension of graded tensor products of $\g[t]$-modules, the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture, the combinatorial ``M=N" conjecture, their proofs for all simple Lie algebras, and a pentagon of identities which results from the proof.
We describe a cluster algebra algorithm for calculating q-characters of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules for any untwisted quantum affine algebra. This yields a geometric q-character formula for tensor products of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules. In simply laced type this formula extends Nakajima's formula for q-characters of standard modules in terms of homology of graded quiver varieties.
In this survey, we shall be concerned with the category of finite-dimensional representations of the untwisted quantum affine algebras when the quantum parameter q is not a root of unity. We review the foundational results of the subject, including the Drinfeld presentation, the classification of simple modules and q-characters. We then concentrate on particular families of irreducible representations whose structure has recently been understood: Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules, minimal affinizations and beyond.
We give a proof of the periodicity of quantum $T$-systems of type $A_n\times A_\ell$ with certain spiral boundary conditions. Our proof is based on categorification of the $T$-system in terms of the representation theory of quantum affine algebras, more precisely on relations between classes of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules and of evaluation modules.
The generalized quantum group of type $A$ is an affine analogue of quantum group associated to a general linear Lie superalgebra, which appears in the study of solutions to the tetrahedron equation or the three-dimensional Yang-Baxter equation. In this paper, we develop the crystal base theory for finite-dimensional representations of generalized quantum group of type $A$. As a main result, we construct Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules, that is, a family of irreducible modules which have crystal bases. We also give an explicit combinatorial description of the crystal structure of Kirillov-Reshetik…
We show that the Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystal $B^{r,s}$ exists when $r$ is a node such that the Kirillov--Reshetikhin module $W^{r,s}$ has a multiplicity free classical decomposition.
We prove the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture for all untwisted quantum affine algebras : we prove that the character of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules solve the Q-system and we give an explicit formula for the character of their tensor products. In the proof we show that the Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules are special in the sense of monomials and that their q-characters solve the T-system (functional relations appearing in the study of solvable lattice models). Moreover we prove that the T-system can be written in the form of an exact sequence. For simply-laced cases, these results were proved by …
We calculate the image of the combinatorial R-matrix for any classical highest weight element in the tensor product of Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals $B^{r,k}\otimes B^{1,l}$ of type $D^{(1)}_n, B^{(1)}_n, A^{(2)}_{2n-1}$. The notion of $\pm$-diagrams is effectively used for the identification of classical highest weight elements in $B^{1,l}\otimes B^{r,k}$.
In this article, we show in the ADE case that the fusion product of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules for a current algebra, whose character is expressed in terms of fermionic forms, can be constructed from one-dimensional modules by using Joseph functors. As a consequence, we obtain some identity between fermionic forms and Demazure operators. Since the same identity is also known to hold for one-dimensional sums of nonexceptional type, we can show from these results the X = M conjecture for type $A_n^{(1)}$ and $D_n^{(1)}$.
The fermionic formula conjectured by Kirillov and Reshetikhin describes the decomposition (as a module for $U_q(\frak g)$) of a tensor product of multiples of of fundamental representations $W(mλ_i)$ of the corresponding quantum affine algebras. In this paper, we show that the conjecture is true for the modules W(mλ_i), if $i$ is such that the corresponding simple root occurs in the highest root of the simple Lie algebra with multiplicity at most 2. In particular, the conjecture is established for all but a few nodes for the exceptional algebras.
We show that the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal B^{r,s} for nonexceptional affine types is simple and have the similarity property. As a corollary of the first fact we can derive that the tensor product of KR crystals is connected. Variations of the second property are also given.
We construct a combinatorial crystal structure on the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal $B^{7,s}$ in type $E_7^{(1)}$, where $7$ is the unique node in the orbit of $0$ in the affine Dynkin diagram. We then describe the combinatorial $R$-matrix $R \colon B^{7,s} \otimes B^{7,s'} \to B^{7,s'} \otimes B^{7,s}$.
On the polytope defined in Feigin, Fourier, and Littelmann (2011), associated to any rectangle highest weight, we define a structure of an type $A_n$-crystal. We show, by using the Stembridge axioms, that this crystal is isomorphic to the one obtained from Kashiwara's crystal bases theory. Further we define on this polytope a bijective map and show that this map satisfies the properties of a weak promotion operator. This implies in particular that we provide an explicit realization of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals for the affine type $A^{(1)}_n$ via polytopes.
We use Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier (KLR) algebras to categorify a crystal isomorphism between a fundamental crystal and the tensor product of a Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal and another fundamental crystal, all in affine type. The nodes of the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal correspond to a family of "trivial" modules. The nodes of the fundamental crystal correspond to simple modules of the corresponding cyclotomic KLR algebra. The crystal operators correspond to socle of restriction and behave compatibly with the rule for tensor product of crystal graphs.
We prove the Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR) conjecture in the general case : for all twisted quantum affine algebras we prove that the characters of KR modules solve the twisted Q-system and we get explicit formulas for the character of their tensor products (the untwisted simply-laced case was treated by Najakima, and the untwisted case by the author). The proof is uniform and provides several new developments for the representation theory of twisted quantum affine algebras, including twisted Frenkel-Reshetikhin q-characters (expected by Frenkel-Reshetikhin and Frenkel-Mukhin). We also prove the t…
For a quantum affine algebra of type A, we describe the composition series of the tensor product of a general minimal affinization with a Kirillov-Resehtikhin module associated to an extreme node of the Dynkin diagram of the underlying simple Lie algebra.
We establish the equality of the specialization $E_{wλ}(x;q,0)$ of the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomial $E_{wλ}(x;q,t)$ at $t=0$ with the graded character $\mathop{\rm gch} U_{w}^{+}(λ)$ of a certain Demazure-type submodule $U_{w}^{+}(λ)$ of a tensor product of "single-column" Kirillov--Reshetikhin modules for an untwisted affine Lie algebra, where $λ$ is a dominant integral weight and $w$ is a (finite) Weyl group element, this generalizes our previous result, that is, the equality between the specialization $P_λ(x;q,0)$ of the symmetric Macdonald polynomial $P_λ(x;q,t)$ at $t=0$ and the grad…
We prove that, in types $E_{6,7,8}^{(1)}$, $F_4^{(1)}$ and $E_6^{(2)}$, every Kirillov--Reshetikhin module associated with the node adjacent to the adjoint one (near adjoint node) has a crystal pseudobase, by applying the criterion introduced by Kang et.al. In order to apply the criterion, we need to prove some statements concerning values of a bilinear form. We achieve this by using the global bases of extremal weight modules.
Nakajima introduced a $t$-deformation of $q$-characters, $(q,t)$-characters for short, and their twisted multiplication through the geometry of quiver varieties. The Nakajima $(q,t)$-characters of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules satisfy a $t$-deformed $T$-system. The $T$-system is a discrete dynamical system that can be interpreted as a mutation relation in a cluster algebra in two different ways, depending on the choice of direction of evolution. In this paper, we show that the Nakajima $t$-deformed $T$-system of type $A_r$ forms a quantum mutation relation in a quantization of exactly one of th…
We study the polytope model for the affine type $A$ Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals and prove that the action of the affine Kashiwara operators can be described in a remarkable simple way. Moreover, we investigate the combinatorial $R$-matrix on a tensor product of polytopes and characterize the map explicitly on the highest weight elements. We further give a formula for the local energy function and provide an alternative proof for the perfectness. We determine for any dominant highest weight element $Λ$ of level $\ell$ the elements $b_Λ, b^Λ$ involved in the definition of perfect crystals and …
We study the category of Z^l-graded modules with finite-dimensional graded pieces for certain Z+^l-graded Lie algebras. We also consider certain Serre subcategories with finitely many isomorphism classes of simple objects. We construct projective resolutions for the simple modules in these categories and compute the Ext groups between simple modules. We show that the projective covers of the simple modules in these Serre subcategories can be regarded as multigraded generalizations of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules and give a recursive formula for computing their graded characters.
We give a realization of the Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystal $B^{1,s}$ using Nakajima monomials for $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n$ using the crystal structure given by Kashiwara. We describe the tensor product $\bigotimes_{i=1}^N B^{1,s_i}$ in terms of a shift of indices, allowing us to recover the Kyoto path model. Additionally, we give a model for the KR crystals $B^{r,1}$ using Nakajima monomials.
We give a complete description of the graded multiplicity space which appears in the Feigin-Loktev fusion product [FL99] of graded Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules for all simple Lie algebras. This construction is used to obtain an upper bound formula for the fusion coefficients in these cases. The formula generalizes the case of g=A_r [AKS06], where the multiplicities are generalized Kostka polynomials [SW99,KS02]. In the case of other Lie algebras, the formula is the the fermionic side of the X=M conjecture [HKO+99]. In the cases where the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture, regarding the decomposi…
We present a uniform construction of tensor products of one-column Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR) crystals in all untwisted affine types, which uses a generalization of the Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths (in the theory of the Littelmann path model). This generalization is based on the graph on parabolic cosets of a Weyl group known as the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph. A related model is the so-called quantum alcove model. The proof is based on two lifts of the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph: to the Bruhat order on the affine Weyl group and to Littelmann's poset on level-zero weights. Our construction …
We provide combinatorial models for all Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals of nonexceptional type, which were recently shown to exist. For types D_n^(1), B_n^(1), A_{2n-1}^(2) we rely on a previous construction using the Dynkin diagram automorphism which interchanges nodes 0 and 1. For type C_n^(1) we use a Dynkin diagram folding and for types A_{2n}^(2), D_{n+1}^(2) a similarity construction. We also show that for types C_n^(1) and D_{n+1}^(2) the analog of the Dynkin diagram automorphism exists on the level of crystals.
We lift the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph into the Bruhat order on the affine Weyl group and into Littelmann's poset on level-zero weights. We establish a quantum analogue of Deodhar's Bruhat-minimum lift from a parabolic quotient of the Weyl group. This result asserts a remarkable compatibility of the quantum Bruhat graph on the Weyl group, with the cosets for every parabolic subgroup. Also, we generalize Postnikov's lemma from the quantum Bruhat graph to the parabolic one; this lemma compares paths between two vertices in the former graph. The results in this paper will be applied in a seco…
We show that a tensor product of nonexceptional type Kirillov--Reshetikhin (KR) crystals is isomorphic to a direct sum of Demazure crystals; we do this in the mixed level case and without the perfectness assumption, thus generalizing a result of Naoi. We use this result to show that, given two tensor products of such KR crystals with the same maximal weight, after removing certain $0$-arrows, the two connected components containing the minimal/maximal elements are isomorphic. Based on the latter fact, we reduce a tensor product of higher level perfect KR crystals to one of single-column KR cry…
We establish the equality of the specialization $P_λ(x;q,0)$ of the Macdonald polynomial at $t=0$ with the graded character $X_λ(x;q)$ of a tensor product of "single-column" Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR) modules for untwisted affine Lie algebras. This is achieved by constructing two uniform combinatorial models for the crystals associated with the mentioned tensor products: the quantum alcove model (which is naturally associated to Macdonald polynomials), and the quantum Lakshmibai-Seshadri path model. We provide an explicit affine crystal isomorphism between the two models, and realize the energy…
Let $\mathfrak g$ be an affine Lie algebra with index set $I = \{0, 1, 2, \cdots , n\}$ and ${\mathfrak g}^L$ be its Langlands dual. It is conjectured by Kashiwara et al.([16]) that for each $k \in I \setminus \{0\}$ the affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ has a positive geometric crystal whose ultra-discretization is isomorphic to the limit of certain coherent family of perfect crystals for ${\mathfrak g}^L$. Motivated by this conjecture we construct a positive geometric crystal for the affine Lie algebra ${\mathfrak g}= A^{(1)}_n$ for each Dynkin index $k\in I\setminus\{0\}$ and show that its u…
We prove that the specialization to q=1 of a Kirillov-Reshetikhin module for an untwisted quantum affine algebra of classical type is projective in a suitable category. This yields a uniform character formula for the Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules. We conjecture that these results holds for specializations of minimal affinization with some restriction on the corresponding highest weight. We discuss the connection with the conjecture of Nakai and Nakanishi on q-characters of minimal affinizations. We establish this conjecture in some special cases. This also leads us to conjecture an alternating …
We give a uniform description of the bijection $Φ$ from rigged configurations to tensor products of Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals of the form $\bigotimes_{i=1}^N B^{r_i,1}$ in dual untwisted types: simply-laced types and types $A_{2n-1}^{(2)}$, $D_{n+1}^{(2)}$, $E_6^{(2)}$, and $D_4^{(3)}$. We give a uniform proof that $Φ$ is a bijection and preserves statistics. We describe $Φ$ uniformly using virtual crystals for all remaining types, but our proofs are type-specific. We also give a uniform proof that $Φ$ is a bijection for $\bigotimes_{i=1}^N B^{r_i,s_i}$ when $r_i$, for all $i$, map to $0$…
We give a bijection $Φ$ from rigged configurations to a tensor product of Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals of the form $B^{r,1}$ and $B^{1,s}$ in type $D_4^{(3)}$. We show that the cocharge statistic is sent to the energy statistic for tensor products $\bigotimes_{i=1}^N B^{r_i,1}$ and $\bigotimes_{i=1}^N B^{1,s_i}$. We extend this bijection to a single $B^{r,s}$, show that it preserves statistics, and obtain the so-called Kirillov--Reshetikhin tableaux model for $B^{r,s}$. Additionally, we show that $Φ$ commutes with the virtualization map and that $B^{1,s}$ is naturally a virtual crystal in ty…
Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals are colored directed graphs encoding the structure of certain finite-dimensional representations of affine Lie algebras. A tensor products of column shape Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals has recently been realized in a uniform way, for all untwisted affine types, in terms of the quantum alcove model. We enhance this model by using it to give a uniform realization of the combinatorial $R$-matrix, i.e., the unique affine crystal isomorphism permuting factors in a tensor product of KR crystals. In other words, we are generalizing to all Lie types Schützenberger's slidi…
We show that the bijection from rigged configurations to tensor products of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals extends to a crystal isomorphism between the $B(\infty)$ models given by rigged configurations and marginally large tableaux.
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a classial Lie algebra and $\mathfrak{p}$ be a maximal parabolic subalgebra. Let $M$ be a generalized Verma module induced from a one dimensional representation of $\mathfrak{p}$. Such $M$ is called a scalar type generalized Verma module. Its simple quotient $L$ is a highest weight moudle. In this paper, we will determine the reducibility of such scalar type generalized Verma modules by computing the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of $L$.
We study a category O of representations of the Yangian associated to an arbitrary finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra. We obtain asymptotic modules as analytic continuation of a family of finite-dimensional modules, the Kirillov--Reshetikhin modules. In the Grothendieck ring we establish the three-term Baxter's TQ relations for the asymptotic modules. We indicate that Hernandez--Jimbo's limit construction can also be applied, resulting in modules over anti-dominantly shifted Yangians.
Let $\mathcal{D}$ be the Drinfeld double of $\mathcal{FK}_3\#\Bbbk{\mathbb S}_3$. The simple $\mathcal{D}$-modules were described in arXiv:1409.0438. In the present work, we describe the indecomposable summands of the tensor product between them. We classify the extensions of the simple modules and show that $\mathcal{D}$ is of wild representation type. We also investigate the projective modules and their tensor products.
We find an exact formula of Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions for the infinite-dimensional explicit irreducible sl(n, F)-modules that appeared in the Z^2-graded oscillator generalizations of the classical theorem on harmonic polynomials established by Luo and Xu. Three infinite subfamilies of these modules have the minimal Gelfand-Kirillov dimension. They contain weight modules with unbounded weight multiplicities and completely pointed modules.
A perfect crystal of any level is constructed for the Kirillov-Reshetikhin module of $U_q(D_4^{(3)})$ corresponding to the middle vertex of the Dynkin diagram. The actions of Kashiwara operators are given explicitly. It is also shown that this family of perfect crystals is coherent. A uniqueness problem solved in this paper can be applied to other quantum affine algebras.
