The paper presents a subclass of the class of MD5-algebras and MD5-groups, i.e., five dimensional solvable Lie algebras and Lie groups such that their orbits in the co-adjoint representation (K-orbit) are orbit of zero or maximal dimension. The main results of the paper is the classification up to an isomorphism of all MD5-algebras $\mathcal{G}$ with the derived ideal ${\mathcal{G}}^{1} := [\mathcal{G}, \mathcal{G}]$ is a 3-dimensional commutative Lie algebra.

Classification of 5-Dimensional MD-Algebras Having Non-Commutative Derived Ideals

The paper presents a subclass of the class of MD5-algebras and MD5-groups, i.e. five dimensional solvable Lie algebras and Lie groups such that their orbits in the co-adjoint representation (K-orbits) are orbits of zero or maximal dimension. The main result of the paper is the classification up to an isomorphism of all MD5-algebras with the non-commutative derived ideal. With this result, we have the complete classification of 5-dimensional solvable Lie algebras.

Bases for partially commutative Lie algebras

In this paper, linear bases for the partially commutative Lie algebras are found. The method of the Gröbner--Shirshov bases is used. It easily follows from the structure that the equality problem is algorithmically solvable for the partially commutative Lie algebras.

Non-Commutative Geometry Methods for Group C*-Algebras

This research notes is intended to provide a quick introduction to the subject. We expose a K-theoretic approach to study group C*-algebras: started in the elementary part, with one example of description of the structure of C*-algebras of the group of affine transformations of the real straight line, continued then for special classes of solvable and nilpotent Lie groups. In the second advanced part, we introduced the main tools of the theory. In particular, the conception of multidimensional geometric quantization and the index of group C*-algebras were created and developed.

Ore Extensions and Infinite Triangularization

We give infinite triangularization and strict triangularization results for algebras of operators on infinite dimensional vector spaces. We introduce a class of algebras we call Ore-solvable algebras: these are similar to iterated Ore extensions but need not be free as modules over the intermediate subrings. Solvability, Structure and Analysis for Minimal Parabolic Subgroups

We examine the structure of the Levi component $MA$ in a minimal parabolic subgroup $P = MAN$ of a real reductive Lie group $G$ and work out the cases where $M$ is metabelian, equivalently where $\mathfrak{p}$ is solvable. Two extensions of Hilbert's finiteness theorem

Let $S^{\cdot}$ be a noetherian graded algebra over a commutative $k$-algebra $A$, where $k$ is a commutative ring, and assume it is a module over a Lie algebroid ${\mathfrak g}_{A/k}$. If $S^\cdot$ is semi-simple over ${\mathfrak g}_{A/k}$ we prove that its ring of invariants $\bar S^{\cdot}$ is notherian. When ${\mathfrak g}_{A/k}$ is a solvable Lie algebra over $A$ we construct noetherian subalgebras of $S^\cdot$ from subsets of characters of ${\mathfrak g}_{A/k}$. We give similar results for noetherian modules over the pair $(S^{\cdot}, {\mathfrak g}_{A/k})$.

Injective Modules and Prime Ideals of Universal Enveloping Algebras

In this paper we study injective modules over universal enveloping algebras of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over fields of arbitrary characteristic. Most of our results are dealing with fields of prime characteristic but we also elaborate on some of their analogues for solvable Lie algebras over fields of characteristic zero. It turns out that analogous results in both cases are often quite similar and resemble those familiar from commutative ring theory.
