In this note we relate the valuations of the algebras appearing in the non-commutative geometry of quantized algebras to properties of sub-lattices in some vector spaces. We consider the case of algebras with $PBW$-bases and prove that under some mild assumptions the valuations of the ground field extend to a non-commutative valuation. Later we introduce the notion of $F$-reductor and graded reductor and reduce the problem of finding an extending non-commutative valuation to finding a reductor in an associated graded ring having a domain for its reduction.
In this paper we show if R is a filtered ring then we can define a quasi valuation. And if R is some kind of filtered ring then we can define a valuation. Then we prove some properties and relations for R.
In this paper we show that if R is a discrete valuation ring, then R is a filtered ring. We prove some properties and relation when R is a discrete valuation ring.
In this paper we show if R is a filtered ring and M a filtered R module then we can define a valuation on a module for M. Then we show that we can find an skeleton of valuation on M, and we prove some properties such that derived form it for a filtered module.
It is a fairly known fact that most of the algebras appearing in the theory of rings of differential operators, quantized algebras of different kinds (including many quantum groups), regular algebras in projective non-commutative geometry, etc... come equipped with a natural gradation or filtration controlled by some finite dimensional vector space(s), e.g. the degree one part of filtration or gradation. In this note we relate the valuations of the algebras considered to unramified sub-lattices in some vector space(s).
Let $K$ be a field, and $A=K[a_1,\ldots ,a_n]$ a solvable polynomial algebra in the sense of [K-RW, {\it J. Symbolic Comput.}, 9(1990), 1--26]. It is shown that if $A$ is an $\mathbb{N}$-graded algebra of $({\cal B},d(~))$-type, then $A$ has a graded monomial ordering $\prec_{gr}$. It is also shown that $A$ is an $\mathbb{N}$-filtered algebra of $({\cal B},d(~))$-type if and only if $A$ has a graded momomial ordering, where ${\cal B}$ is the PBW basis of $A$.
As the case of free $\Bbbk$-algebras and $PBW$ algebras, given a bijective skew $PBW$ extension $A$, we will show that it is possible transfer Gröbner bases between $A$ and its associated graded ring.
The aim of this paper is to introduce and study graded and filtered gamma rings and gamma modules. We prove that the filtered $Γ$-ring (module) is a generalization of the notion of graded ring (module). Also, we construct a graded $Γ$-ring from a filtered $Γ$-ring. We investigate some properties of graded and fileterd Gamma rings and Gamma modules. Finally we define and study the strongly graded gamma rings.
We study Frobenius extensions which are free-filtered by a totally ordered, finitely generated abelian group, and their free-graded counterparts. First we show that the Frobenius property passes up from a free-graded extension to a free-filtered extension, then also from a free-filtered extension to the extension of their Rees algebras. Our main theorem states that, under some natural hypotheses, a free-filtered extension of algebras is Frobenius if and only if the associated graded extension is Frobenius. In the final section we apply this theorem to provide new examples and non-examples of F…
We develop filtered-graded techniques for algebras in monoidal categories with the main goal of establishing a categorical version of Bongale's 1967 result: A filtered deformation of a Frobenius algebra over a field is Frobenius as well. Towards the goal, we first construct a monoidal associated graded functor, building on prior works of Ardizzoni-Menini, of Galatius et al., and of Gwillian-Pavlov. Next, we produce equivalent conditions for an algebra in a rigid monoidal category to be Frobenius in terms of the existence of categorical Frobenius form; this builds on work of Fuchs-Stigner. Thes…
We prove that an isomorphism of graded Grothendieck groups $K^{gr}_0$ of two Leavitt path algebras induces an isomorphism of a certain quotient of algebraic filtered $K$-theory and consequently an isomorphism of filtered $K$-theory of their associated graph $C^*$-algebras. As an application, we show that, since for a finite graph $E$ with no sinks, $K^{gr}_0\big(L(E)\big)$ of the Leavitt path algebra $L(E)$ coincides with Krieger's dimension group of its adjacency matrix $A_E$, our result relates the shift equivalence of graphs to the filtered $K$-theory and consequently gives that two arbitra…
Small and Zelmanov posed the question whether every element of a graded algebra over an uncountable field must be nilpotent, provided that the homogeneous elements are nilpotent. This question has recently been answered in the negative by A. Smoktunowicz. In this paper we prove that the answer is affirmative for associated graded algebras of filtered algebraic algebras. Our result is based on Amitsur's theorems on algebas over infinite fields.
We study Gorenstein dimension and grade of a module $M$ over a filtered ring whose assosiated graded ring is a commutative Noetherian ring. An equality or an inequality between these invariants of a filtered module and its associated graded module is the most valuable property for an investigation of filtered rings. We prove an inequality G-dim$M\leq{G-dim gr}M$ and an equality ${\rm grade}M={\rm grade gr}M$, whenever Gorenstein dimension of ${\rm gr}M$ is finite (Theorems 2.3 and 2.8). We would say that the use of G-dimension adds a new viewpoint for studying filtered rings and modules. We ap…
Let $G$ be a finitely generated group, and let $\Bbbk{G}$ be its group algebra over a field of characteristic $0$. A Taylor expansion is a certain type of map from $G$ to the degree completion of the associated graded algebra of $\Bbbk{G}$ which generalizes the Magnus expansion of a free group. The group $G$ is said to be filtered-formal if its Malcev Lie algebra is isomorphic to the degree completion of its associated graded Lie algebra. We show that $G$ is filtered-formal if and only if it admits a Taylor expansion, and derive some consequences.
We deal with the existing problem of filtered multiplicative bases of finite-dimensional associative algebras. For an associative algebra A over a field, we investigate when the property of having a filtered multiplicative basis is hereditated by homomorphic images or by the associated graded algebra of $A$. These results are then applied to some classes of group algebras and restricted enveloping algebras.
Let $R$ be an algebra over a commutative ring $k$. Suppose that $R$ is endowed with a descending filtration indexed on an ordered group $(G,<)$ such that the restriction to $k$ is positive. We show that the existence of free algebras on a certain set of generators in the induced graded ring $grad(R)$ implies the existence of free group algebras in $R$. Our best results are obtained for division rings endowed with a valuation.
We show that the center of the Iwahori--Hecke algebra of the symmetric group $S_n$ carries a natural filtered algebra structure, and that the structure constants of the associated graded algebra are independent of $n$. A series of conjectures and open problems are also included.
The classification of graded non-alternating Hamiltonian Lie algebras over perfect field of characteristic 2 is obtained. It is shown that the filtered deformations of such algebras correspond to non-alternating Hamiltonian forms with polynomial coefficients in divided powers. It is proved that graded non-alternating Hamiltonian algebras are rigid with respect to filtered deformations except for some cases when the number of variables is 2, 3, 4 or when the heights of some variables are equal to 1.
Let V be a total valuation ring of a division ring K, Q be the additive group of the rational numbers, Aut(K) be the group of automorphisms of K. Let sigma be a group homomorphism from Q to Aut(K). Let K[Q, sigma ] be the skew group ring of Q over K. In this paper, we classify graded extensions of V in K[Q, sigma] into two types and study the structure of them.
We introduce filtered algebraic $K$-theory of a ring $R$ relative to a sublattice of ideals. This is done in such a way that filtered algebraic $K$-theory of a Leavitt path algebra relative to the graded ideals is parallel to the gauge invariant filtered $K$-theory for graph $C^*$-algebras. We apply this to verify the Abrams-Tomforde conjecture for a large class of finite graphs.
We define two invariants for (semiprime right Goldie) algebras, one for algebras graded by arbitrary abelian groups, which is unchanged under twists by $2$-cocycles on the grading group, and one for $\mathbb Z$-graded or $\mathbb Z_{\ge 0}$-filtered algebras. The first invariant distinguishes quantum algebras which are "truly multiparameter" apart from ones that are "essentially uniparameter", meaning cocycle twists of uniparameter algebras. We prove that both invariants are stable under adjunction of polynomial variables. Methods for computing these invariants for large families of algebras a…
Let $A=K[a_1,\ldots,a_n]$ be a weighted $\mathbb{N}$-filtered solvable polynomial algebra with filtration $FA=\{ F_pA\}_{p\in\mathbb{N}}$, where solvable polynomial algebras are in the sense of (A. Kandri-Rody and V. Weispfenning, Non-commutative Gröbner bases in algebras of solvable type. {\it J. Symbolic Comput.}, 9(1990), 1--26), and $FA$ is constructed with respect to a positive-degree function $d(~)$ on $A$. By introducing minimal F-bases and minimal standard bases respectively for left $A$-modules and their submodules with respect to good filtrations, minimal filtered free resolutions fo…
Let G be a nilpotent complete p-valued group of finite rank and let k be a field of characteristic p. We prove that every faithful prime ideal of the Iwasawa algebra kG is controlled by the centre of G, and use this to show that the prime spectrum of kG is a disjoint union of commutative strata. We also show that every prime ideal of kG is completely prime. The key ingredient in the proof is the construction of a non-commutative valuation on certain filtered simple Artinian rings.
Let $G$ be an abelien group, $ε$ an anti-bicharacter of $G$ and $L$ a $G$-graded $ε$ Lie algebra (color Lie algebra) over $\K$ a field of characteristic zero. We prove that all $G$-graded, positive filtered $A$ such that the associated graded algebra is isomorphic to the $G$-graded $ε$-symmetric algebra $S(L)$, there is a $G$- graded $ε$-Lie algebra $L$ and a $G$-graded scalar two cocycle $ω\in\mathrm{Z}_{gr}^2(L,\K)$, such that $A$ is isomorphic to $ U_ω(L)$ the generalized enveloping algebra of $L$ associated with $ω$. We also prove there is an isomorphism of graded spaces between the Hochsc…
S. Alesker has shown that if $G$ is a compact subgroup of O(n) acting transitively on the unit sphere $S^{n-1}$ then the vector space $Val^G$ of continuous, translation-invariant, $G$-invariant convex valuations on $R^n$ has the structure of a finite dimensional graded algebra over $R$ satisfying Poincare duality. We show that the kinematic formulas for $G$ are determined by the product pairing. Using this result we then show that the algebra $Val^{U(n) }$ is isomorphic to $R[s,t]/(f_{n+1}, f_{n+2})$, where $s,t$ have degrees 2 and 1 respectively, and the polynomial $f_i$ is the degree $i$ ter…
Let H_c be the rational Cherednik algebra of type A_{n-1} with spherical subalgebra U_c = eH_ce. Then U_c is filtered by order of differential operators, with associated graded ring gr U_c = C[h+h*]^W, where W is the n-th symmetric group. We construct a filtered Z-algebra B such that, under mild conditions on c: (1) The category B-qgr of graded noetherian B-modules modulo torsion is equivalent to U_c-mod; (2) The associated graded Z-algebra gr(B) has gr(B)-qgr equivalent to Coh Hilb(n), the category of coherent sheaves on the Hilbert scheme of points in the plane. This can be regarded as sayin…
We study symplectic (contact) structures on nilmanifolds that correspond to the filiform Lie algebras - nilpotent Lie algebras of the maximal length of the descending central sequence. We give a complete classification of filiform Lie algebras that possess a basis e_1, ..., e_n, [e_i,e_j]=c_{ij}e_{i{+}j} (N-graded Lie algebras). In particular we describe the spaces of symplectic cohomology classes for all even-dimensional algebras of the list. It is proved that a symplectic filiform Lie algebra is a filtered deformation of some N-graded symplectic filiform Lie algebra. But this condition is no…
We apply the filtered and graded methods developed in earlier works to find (noncommutative) free group algebras in division rings. If $L$ is a Lie algebra, we denote by $U(L)$ its universal enveloping algebra. P. M. Cohn constructed a division ring $\mathfrak{D}_L$ that contains $U(L)$. We denote by $\mathfrak{D}(L)$ the division subring of $\mathfrak{D}_L$ generated by $U(L)$. Let $k$ be a field of characteristic zero and $L$ be a nonabelian Lie $k$-algebra. If either $L$ is residually nilpotent or $U(L)$ is an Ore domain, we show that $\mathfrak{D}(L)$ contains (noncommutative) free group a…
We study centralizers in certain algebras with valuation in order to generalize results by Hellström and Silvestrov on centralizers in graded algebras. We prove that the centralizer of an element in the studied algebras is a free module over a certain ring. Under further assumptions we obtain that the centralizer is also commutative.
We consider filtered or graded algebras $A$ over a field $K$. Assume that there is a discrete valuation $O_v$ of $K$ with $m_v$ its maximal ideal and $k_v:=O_v/m_v$ its residue field. Let $Λ$ be $O_v$-order such that $ΛK=A$ and $\barΛ:=k_v\otimes_{O_v}Λ$ the $Λ$-reduction of $A$ at the place $K\leadsto k_v$. Using the filtration of $A$ induced by $Λ$ we shall prove that for certain algebras $A$ their properties are related to $\barΛ$.
Let $B$ be a finitely generated algebra over a field $k$. Then $B$ is called a Jacobson algebra if every semiprime ideal of $B$ is semiprimitive. We will discuss several conditions, all involving the commutant of simple $B$-modules, which imply that $B$ is Jacobson. In particular, we will recover the well-known result that every finitely generated almost commutative algebra is Jacobson. The same holds true for $\mathbb{N}$-filtered $k$-algebras $B$ with a locally finite filtration such that the associated graded $k$-algebra is left-noetherian.
We explore the graded and filtered formality properties of finitely generated groups by studying the various Lie algebras over a field of characteristic 0 attached to such groups, including the Malcev Lie algebra, the associated graded Lie algebra, the holonomy Lie algebra, and the Chen Lie algebra. We explain how these notions behave with respect to split injections, coproducts, direct products, as well as field extensions, and how they are inherited by solvable and nilpotent quotients. A key tool in this analysis is the 1-minimal model of the group, and the way this model relates to the afor…
Let A and A! be dual Koszul algebras. By Positselski a filtered algebra U with gr U = A is Koszul dual to differential graded algebra (A!,d). We relate the module categories of this dual pair by a tensor-Hom adjunction. This descends to give an equivalence of suitable quotient categories and generalizes work of Beilinson, Ginzburg and Soergel.
