We generalize the concept of a number derivative, and examine one particular instance of a deformed number derivative for finite field elements. We find that the derivative is linear when the deformation is a Frobenius map and go on to examine some of its basic properties.

Generalized logarithmic derivatives for K_n

We construct (generalized) logarithmic derivatives for general n-dimensional local fields K of mixed characteristics (0,p) in which p is not necessarily a prime element with residue field k such that [k:k^p]=p^{n-1}. For the construction of the logarithmic derivative map, we define n-dimensional rings of overconvergent series and show that - as in the 1-dimensional case - they can be interpreted as functions converging on some annulus of the open unit p-adic disc. Using the generalized logarithmic derivative, we give a new construction of Kato's n-dimensional dual exponential map.

Vacca-type series for values of the generalized-Euler-constant function and its derivative

We generalize well-known Catalan-type integrals for Euler's constant to values of the generalized-Euler-constant function and its derivatives. Using generating functions appeared in these integral representations we give new Vacca and Ramanujan-type series for values of the generalized-Euler-constant function and Addison-type series for values of the generalized-Euler-constant function and its derivative. Two estimates on the distribution of zeros of the first derivative of Dirichlet $L$-functions under the generalized Riemann hypothesis

Zeros of the Riemann zeta function and its derivatives have been studied by many mathematicians. Among, the number of zeros and the distribution of the real part of non-real zeros of the derivatives of the Riemann zeta function have been investigated by Berndt, Levinson, Montgomery, Akatsuka, and the author. Berndt, Levinson, and Montgomery investigated the unconditional case, while Akatsuka and the author gave sharper estimates under the truth of the Riemann hypothesis. Special values of derivatives of $L$-series and generalized Stieltjes constants

The connection between derivatives of $L(s,f)$ for periodic arithmetical functions $f$ at $s=1$ and generalized Stieltjes constants has been noted earlier. In this paper, we utilize this link to throw light on the arithmetic nature of $L'(1,f)$ and certain Stieltjes constants. In particular, if $p$ is an odd prime greater than $7$, then we deduce the transcendence of at least $(p-7)/2$ of the generalized Stieltjes constants, $\{ γ_1(a,p) : 1 \leq a < p \}$, conditional on a conjecture of S. Gun, M. R. Murty and P. Rath.

Generalized Brouncker's continued fractions and their logarithmic derivatives

In this paper, we study the continued fraction y(s,r) which satisfies the equation y(s,r)y(s+2r,r)=(s+1)(s+2r-1) for r > 1/2. This continued fraction is a generalization of the Brouncker's continued fraction b(s). We extend the formulas for the first and the second logarithmic derivatives of b(s) to the case of y(s,r). The asymptotic series for y(s,r) at the infinity are also studied. The generalizations of some Ramanujan's formulas are presented.

Generalized Hadamard Product and the Derivatives of Spectral Functions

In this work we propose a generalization of the Hadamard product between two matrices to a tensor-valued, multi-linear product between k matrices for any $k \ge 1$. A multi-linear dual operator to the generalized Hadamard product is presented.
