Let F be an N x N complex matrix whose jth column is the vector f_j in C^N. Let |f_j|^2 denote the sum of the absolute squares of the entries of f_j. Hadamard's inequality for determinants states that |\det(F)| <= \prod_{j=1}^N|f_j|. Here we prove a sharp upper bound on the permanent of F, which is |perm(F)| <= N!N^{-N/2} \prod_{j=1}^N|f_j|, and we determine all of the cases of equality.
This paper is devoted to a generalization of a Hadamard type inequality for the permanent of a complex square matrix. Our proof is based on a non-trivial extension of a technique used in Carlen, Lieb and Loss (Methods and Applications of Analysis 13 (1) (2006) 1-17). We give an application to coefficients of products of linear forms and show some auxiliary inequalities, which might be of independent interest.
It is well-known that the left term of the classical Hermite-Hadamard inequality is closer to the integral mean value than the right one. We show that in the multivariate case it is not true. Moreover, we introduce some related inequality comparing the methods of the approximate integration, which is optimal. We also present its counterpart of Fejer type.
In this paper, we have established some generalized integral inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard-Fejér type for generalized fractional integrals. The results presented here would provide generalizations of those given in earlier works.
In literature the Hermite-Hadamard inequality was eligible for many reasons, one of the most surprising and interesting that the Hermite-Hadamard inequality combine the midpoint and trapezoid formulae in an inequality. In this work, a Hermite-Hadamard like inequality that combines the composite trapezoid and composite midpoint formulae is proved. So that, the classical Hermite-Hadamard inequality becomes a special case of the presented result. Some Ostrowski's type inequalities for convex functions are proved as well.
Inequalities play important roles not only in mathematics, but also in other fields, such as economics and engineering. Even though many results are published on Hermite-Hadamard (H-H) type inequalities, new researcher to this fields often found it difficult to understand them. Thus, some important discoverers, such as the formulations of H-H type inequalities via various classes of convexity, through differentiable mappings and for fractional integrals, are presented. Some well-known examples from previous literature are used as illustrations.
In this paper, Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for Sugeno integrals based on log-convex functions is studied. Some examples are given to illustrate the results.
We show how the recent improvement of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality can be applied to some (not necessarily convex) planar figures and three-dimensional bodies satisfying some kind of regularity.
The main goal of this paper is to prove a Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for certain Schur convex functions using, as one of the main tools in the proof, a Korovkin-type approximation theorem.
In this paper, we establish a new refinement of the right-hand side of Hermite-Hadamard inequality for convex functions of several variables defined on simplices.
In this paper, we establish a new refinement of the left-hand side of Hermite-Hadamard inequality for convex functions of several variables defined on simplices.
In the present paper, we establish some new fractional integral inequalities similar to P$\acute{o}$lya-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ integral inequality and fractional inequality related to Minkowsky inequality by using the Hadamard fractional integral operator. Also, we discuss few spacial cases of these inequalities.
We obtain a Landau -- Hadamard type inequality for mappings defined on the whole real axis and taking values in Riemannian manifolds. In terms of an auxiliary convex function, we find conditions under which the boundedness of covariant derivative along the curve under consideration ensures the boundedness of the corresponding tangent vector field. As an example we obtain a Landau -- Hadamard type inequality for curves on 2D unite sphere.
Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ be a convex domain and let $f:Ω\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ be a subharmonic function, $Δf \geq 0$, which satisfies $f \geq 0$ on the boundary $\partial Ω$. Then $$ \int_Ω{f ~dx} \leq |Ω|^{\frac{1}{n}} \int_{\partial Ω}{f ~dσ}.$$ Our proof is based on a new gradient estimate for the torsion function, $Δu = -1$ with Dirichlet boundary conditions, which is of independent interest.
In this paper, firstly we have established Hermite-Hadamard's inequalities for s-convex functions in the second sense and m-convex functions via fractional integrals. Secondly, a Hadamard type integral inequality for the fractional integrals are obtained and these result have some relationships with KBOP.
The purpose of this paper is to study the Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for r-preinvex and (α, m)-preinvex function which is based on Sugeno integral.
We establish a new refinement of the right-hand side of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality for simplices, based on the average values of a convex function over the faces of a simplex and over the values at their barycenters.
We presented here a refinement of Hermite-Hadamard inequality as a linear combination of its end-points. The problem of best possible constants is closely connected with well known Simpson's rule in numerical integration. It is solved here for a wide class of convex functions, but not in general. Some supplementary results are also given.
The aim of this paper is to generalize the Hermite--Hadamard inequality for functions convex on the coordinates. Our composite result generalizes the result of Dragomir in \cite{Drag}. Many other interesting inequalities can be derived from our results by choosing different values of $n\in\mathbb{N}.$ Furthermore, we add to the literature a new result for positive functions convex on the coordinates.
We present a tight parametrical Hermite-Hadamard type inequality with probability measure, which yields a considerably closer upper bound for the mean value of convex function than the classical one. Our inequality becomes equality not only with affine functions, but also with a family of V-shaped curves determined by the parameter. The residual (error) of this inequality is strictly smaller than in the classical Hermite-Hadamard inequality under any probability measure and with all non-affine convex functions. In the framework of Karamata's theorem on the inequalities with convex functions, w…
Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^d$, $d \geq 2$, be a bounded convex domain and $f\colon Ω\to \mathbb{R}$ be a non-negative subharmonic function. In this paper we prove the inequality \[ \frac{1}{|Ω|}\int_Ωf(x)\,dx \leq \frac{d}{|\partialΩ|}\int_{\partialΩ} f(x)\,dσ(x)\,. \] Equivalently, the result can be stated as a bound for the gradient of the Saint Venant torsion function. Specifically, if $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^d$ is a bounded convex domain and $u$ is the solution of $-Δu =1$ with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, then \[ \|\nabla u\|_{L^\infty(Ω)} < d\frac{|Ω|}{|\partialΩ|}\,. \] Moreove…
We give a slight extension of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality on simplices and we use it to establish error bounds of the operators connected with the approximate integration.
The Hermite-Hadamard inequality states that the average value of a convex function on an interval is bounded from above by the average value of the function at the endpoints of the interval. We provide a generalization to higher dimensions: let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ be a convex domain and let $f:Ω\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ be a convex function satisfying $f \big|_{\partial Ω} \geq 0$, then $$ \frac{1}{|Ω|} \int_Ω{f ~d \mathcal{H}^n} \leq \frac{2 π^{-1/2} n^{n+1}}{|\partial Ω|} \int_{\partial Ω}{f~d \mathcal{H}^{n-1}}.$$ The constant $2 π^{-1/2} n^{n+1}$ is presumably far from optimal, however, …
This monograph is associated with the renowned Hermite-Hadamard's integral inequality of $2$-variables on the co-ordinates. In this article we established several inequalities of the type of Hadamard's for the mappings whose absolute values of second order partial derivatives are $s-(α,m)$-convex mappings.
Given any ${\bf{a}}: = \left( {a_1 ,a_2 , \ldots ,a_n } \right)$ and ${\bf{b}}: = \left( {b_1 ,b_2 , \ldots ,b_n } \right)$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$. The $\textbf{n}$-fold convex function defined on $\left[ {\bf{a},{\bf{b}}} \right]$, ${\bf{a}},{\bf{b}} \in \mathbb{R}^n$ with ${\bf{a}}<{\bf{b}}$ is a convex function in each variable separately. In this work we prove an inequality of Hermite-Hadamard type for $\textbf{n}$-fold convex functions. Namely, we establish the inequality \begin{align*} f\left( {\frac{{\bf{a} + {\bf{b}}}}{2}} \right) \le \frac{1}{{\bf{b} - {\bf{a}}}}\int_{\bf{a}}^{\bf{b}} {f\l…
In this paper we establish some estimates of the right hand side of a Hermite-Hadamard type inequality in which some quasi-convex functions are involved.
We observe that the Hermite-Hadamard inequality written in the form $$f\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)\leq\frac{F(y)-F(x)}{y-x}\leq\frac{f(x)+f(y)}{2}$$ may be viewed as an inequality between two quadrature operators $f\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)$ $\frac{f(x)+f(y)}{2}$ and a differentiation formula $\frac{F(y)-F(x)}{y-x}.$ We extend this inequality, replacing the middle term by more complicated ones. As it turns out in some cases it suffices to use Ohlin lemma as it was done in a recent paper \cite{Rajba} however to get more interesting result some more general tool must be used. To this end we use …
In this paper, we establish several new inequalities for some differantiable mappings that are connected with the celebrated Hermite-Hadamard integral inequality. Some applications for special means of real numbers are also provided.
In this paper, firstly we have established Hermite--Hadamard-Fejér inequality for fractional integrals. Secondly, an integral identity and some Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type integral inequalities for the fractional integrals have been obtained. The some results presented here would provide extensions of those given in earlier works.
In this paper several inequalities of the right-hand side of Hermite-Hadamard's inequality are obtained for the class of functions whose derivatives in absolutely value at certain powers are strongly φ-convex with modulus c>0.
In this paper, using functions whose derivatives absolute values are strongly $Φ_{h}$-convex with modulus c>0, we obtained new inequalities releted to the right and left side of Hermite-Hadamard inequality by using new integral identities
In this article we proved an interesting property of the class of continuous convex functions. This leads to the form of pre-Hermite-Hadamard inequality which in turn admits a generalization of the famous Hermite-Hadamard inequality. Some further discussion is also given.
In this paper, we establish several new inequalities for twice differantiable mappings that are connected with the celebrated Hermite-Hadamard integral inequality. Some applications for special means of real numbers are also provided.
We show new upper bounds for permanents and hafnians, which are particularly useful for complex matrices. Multidimensional permanents and hyperhafnians are considered as well. The permanental bounds improve on a Hadamard type inequality of Carlen, Lieb and Loss (2006, Methods and Applications of Analysis 13, 1--17) and Cobos, Kühn and Peetre (2006, Integral Equations and Operator Theory 56, 57--70). Our proofs are based on a more general inequality, which can be applied to generalized Laplace type expansions of the matrix functions under consideration. As application, we show new bounds on the…
In this paper some new inequalities are proved related to left hand side of Hermite-Hadamard inequality for the classes of functions whose derivatives of absolute values are m-convex. New bounds and estimations are obtained. Applications for some Theorems are given as well.
In this paper, we establish some weighted fractional inequalities for differentiable mappings whose derivatives in absolute value are convex. These results are connected with the celebrated Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type integral inequality. The results presented here would provide extensions of those given in earlier works.
In this paper we established new Hadamard-type inequalities for functions that co-ordinated Godunova-Levin functions and co-ordinated P-convex functions, therefore we proved a new inequality involving product of convex functions and P-functions on the co-ordinates.
Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ be a convex domain and let $f:Ω\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ be a positive, subharmonic function (i.e. $Δf \geq 0$). Then $$ \frac{1}{|Ω|} \int_Ω{f dx} \leq \frac{c_n}{ |\partial Ω| } \int_{\partial Ω}{ f dσ},$$ where $c_n \leq 2n^{3/2}$. This inequality was previously only known for convex functions with a much larger constant. We also show that the optimal constant satisfies $c_n \geq n-1$. As a byproduct, we establish a sharp geometric inequality for two convex domains where one contains the other $ Ω_2 \subset Ω_1 \subset \mathbb{R}^n$: $$ \frac{|\partial Ω_1|}{|Ω_1|}…

In this paper, we extend some estimates of the right and left hand side of a Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for nonconvex functions whose derivatives absolute values are Φ-convex and quasi-Φ-convex was introduced by Noor in Noor1.
We have recently established some integral inequalities for convex functions via the Hermite-Hadamard's inequalities. In continuation here, we also establish some interesting new integral inequalities for convex functions via the Hermite--Hadamard's inequalities and Jensen's integral inequality. Useful applications involving special means are also included.
Using methods of weight functions, techniques of real analysis as well as the Hermite-Hadamard inequality, a half-discrete Hardy-Hilbert-type inequality with multi-parameters and a best possible constant factor related to the Hurwitz zeta function and the Riemann zeta function is obtained. Equivalent forms, normed operator expressions, their reverses and some particular cases are also considered.
By the method of weight coefficients, techniques of real analysis and Hermite-Hadamard's inequality, a half-discrete Hardy-Hilbert-type inequality related to the kernel of the hyperbolic cosecant function with the best possible constant factor expressed in terms of the extended Riemann-zeta function is proved. The more accurate equivalent forms, the operator expressions with the norm, the reverses and some particular cases are also considered.
In this paper, we extend the Hermite-Hadamard type $\dot{I}$scan inequality to the class of symmetrized harmonic convex functions. The corresponding version for harmonic h-convex functions is also investigated. Furthermore, we establish Hermite-Hadamard type inequalites for the product of a harmonic convex function with a symmetrized harmonic convex function.
In this paper we present a new type of fractional operator, which is a generalization of the Caputo and Caputo--Hadamard fractional derivative operators. We study some properties of the operator, namely we prove that it is the inverse operation of a generalized fractional integral. A relation between this operator and a Riemann--Liouville type is established. We end with a fractional Gronwall inequality type, which is useful to compare solutions of fractional differential equations.
In the paper, the authors review several refinements of Young's integral inequality via several mean value theorems, such as Lagrange's and Taylor's mean value theorems of Lagrange's and Cauchy's type remainders, and via several fundamental inequalities, such as Čebyšev's integral inequality, Hermite--Hadamard's type integral inequalities, Hölder's integral inequality, and Jensen's discrete and integral inequalities, in terms of higher order derivatives and their norms, survey several applications of several refinements of Young's integral inequality, and further refine Young's integral inequa…
