We study the crystal base of the negative part of a quantum group. An explicit realization of the crystal is given in terms of Young tableaux for types $A_n$, $B_n$, $C_n$, $D_n$, and $G_2$. Connection between our realization and a previous realization of Cliff is also given.

The parastatistics algebra is a superalgebra with (even) parafermi and (odd) parabose creation and annihilation operators. The states in the parastatistics Fock-like space are shown to be in one-to-one correspondence with the Super Semistandard Young Tableaux (SSYT) subject to further constraints. We introduce and study some affine Hecke algebras of type ADE, generalising the affine Hecke algebras of GL. We construct irreducible calibrated representations and describe the calibrated spectrum. This is done in terms of new families of combinatorial objects equipped with actions of the corresponding Weyl groups.
