We introduce a new family of symmetric functions, which are $q$-analogues of products of Schur functions defined in terms of ribbon tableaux. These functions can be interpreted in terms of the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra of type $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ and are related to Hall-Littlewood functions via the geometry of flag varieties. Denote by $N \subset SL_k$ the subgroup of unipotent upper triangular matrices. In this paper, we show that the dual canonical basis of $\mathbb{C}[N]$ (and base affine spaces) can be parameterized by semi-standard Young tableaux. Moreover, we give an explicit formula for every element in the the dual canonical basis using the data of the corresponding semistandard Young tableau. We apply our results to study cluster variables in $\mathbb{C}[N]$.

We introduce and study some affine Hecke algebras of type ADE, generalising the affine Hecke algebras of GL. We construct irreducible calibrated representations and describe the calibrated spectrum. This is done in terms of new families of combinatorial objects equipped with actions of the corresponding Weyl groups. We construct a type $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ geometric crystal on the variety ${\rm Gr}(k,n) \times \mathbb{C}^\times$, and show that it tropicalizes to the disjoint union of the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals corresponding to rectangular tableaux with $n-k$ rows. A key ingredient in our construction is the $\mathbb{Z}/n\mathbb{Z}$ symmetry on the Grassmannian coming from cyclically shifting the basis of the underlying vector space. The parastatistics algebra is a superalgebra with (even) parafermi and (odd) parabose creation and annihilation operators. The states in the parastatistics Fock-like space are shown to be in one-to-one correspondence with the Super Semistandard Young Tableaux (SSYT) subject to further constraints.
