On duality theory and pseudodifferential techniques for Colombeau algebras: generalized delta functionals, kernels and wave front sets

Summarizing basic facts from abstract topological modules over Colombeau generalized complex numbers we discuss duality of Colombeau algebras. In particular, we focus on generalized delta functionals and operator kernels as elements of dual spaces. A large class of examples is provided by pseudodifferential operators acting on Colombeau algebras. By a refinement of symbol calculus we review a new characterization of the wave front set for generalized functions with applications to microlocal analysis.

First-order hyperbolic pseudodifferential equations with generalized symbols

We consider the Cauchy problem for a hyperbolic pseudodifferential operator whose symbol is generalized, resembling a representative of a Colombeau generalized function. Such equations arise, for example, after a reduction-decoupling of second-order model systems of differential equations in seismology. We prove existence of a unique generalized solution under log-type growth conditions on the symbol, thereby extending known results for the case of differential operators with generalized functions as coefficients.

On the characterization of p-adic Colombeau-Egorov generalized functions by their point values

We show that contrary to recent papers by S. Albeverio, A. Yu. Khrennikov and V. Shelkovich, point values do not determine elements of the so-called p-adic Colombeau-Egorov algebra uniquely. We further show in a more general way that for an Egorov algebra of generalized functions on a locally compact ultrametric space (M,d) taking values in a non-trivial ring, a point value characterization holds if and only if (M,d) is discrete. Regularization for fractional integral. Application to nonlinear equations with singularities

We give the regularization for fractional integral by delta sequence and apply it to obtain existence-uniqueness theorems in Colombeau algebras for nonlinear equations with singularities: nonlinear system of integral equations with polar kernel and nonlinear parabolic equations (of ordinary type, with nonlinear conservative term and with Schrödinger kernel) with strongly singular initial data and non-Lipschitz nonlinearities. Limits of regularizations for generalized function solutions to the Schrödinger equation with "square root of delta" initial value

We briefly review results on Colombeau type generalized solutions to the Cauchy problem for linear Schrödinger-type equations with non-smooth principal part and their compatibility with classical and distributional solutions. In the main part, we study convergence properties of regularized solutions to the standard Schrödinger equation with initial values corresponding to "square roots" of Dirac measures in various duals of classical subspaces of the space of continuous functions.

Non-Standard Analysis, Multiplication of Schwartz Distributions and Delta-Like Solution of Hopf's Equation

We construct an algebra of generalized functions $^*\mathcal{E}(\mathbb{R}^d)$. We also construct an embedding of the space of Schwartz distributions $\mathcal{D}^\prime(\mathbb{R}^d)$ into $^*\mathcal{E}(\mathbb{R}^d)$ and thus present a solution of the problem of multiplication of Schwartz distributions which improves J.F. Colombeau's solution. As an application we prove the existence of a weak delta-like solution in ${^*\mathcal{E}(\mathbb{R}^d)}$ of the Hopf equation.
