A topological characterization of dual strict convexity in Asplund spaces

Let $X$ be an Asplund space. We show that the existence of an equivalent norm on $X$ having a strictly convex dual norm is equivalent to the dual unit sphere $S_{X^*}$ (equivalently $X^*$) possessing a non-linear topological property called ($*$), which was introduced by J. Topological centers of $n-$th dual of module actions

In this paper, we will study the topological centers of $n-th$ dual of Banach $A-module$ and we extend some propositions from Lau and Ülger into $n-th$ dual of Banach $A-modules$ where $n\geq 0$ is even number. Let $B$ be a Banach $A-bimodule$. By using some new conditions, we show that ${{Z}^\ell}_{A^{(n)}}(B^{(n)})=B^{(n)}$ and ${{Z}^\ell}_{B^{(n)}}(A^{(n)})=A^{(n)}$. We also have some conclusions in group algebras.

Topological Invariant Means on dual Space of Multiplier algebra and weakly compact Multiplier on Herz-algebra

In this paper we investigate the compact and weakly compact multipliers of the Herz-algebras $A_p(G)$. Let $B_p(G)$ be the space of pointwise multipliers of $A_p(G)$. We show that there is a topological invariant mean on $B^*_p (G)$. Furthermore, we show that if $B^*_p(G)$ is separable, then $G$ is a discrete group.

Module amenability of the second dual and module topological center of semigroup algebras

Let $S$ be an inverse semigroup with an upward directed set of idempotents $E$. In this paper we define the module topological center of second dual of a Banach algebra which is a Banach module over another Banach algebra with compatible actions, and find it for $ \ell ^{1}(S)^{**}$ (as an $\ell^{1}(E)$-module). We also prove that $ \ell ^{1}(S)^{**}$ is $\ell^{1}(E)$-module amenable if and only if an appropriate group homomorphic image of $S$ is finite.

Continuous and Pontryagin duality of topological groups

For Pontryagin's group duality in the setting of locally compact topological Abelian groups, the topology on the character group is the compact open topology. There exist at present two extensions of this theory to topological groups which are not necessarily locally compact. The first, called the Pontryagin dual, retains the compact-open topology. The second, the continuous dual, uses the continuous convergence structure. Both coincide on locally compact topological groups but differ dramatically otherwise.
