We consider dynamical systems on compact manifolds, which are local diffeomorphisms outside an exceptional set (a compact submanifold). We are interested in analyzing the relation between the integrability (with respect to Lebesgue measure) of the first hyperbolic time map and the existence of positive frequency of hyperbolic times. We show that some (strong) integrability of the first hyperbolic time map implies positive frequency of hyperbolic times. We also present an example of a map with positive frequency of hyperbolic times at Lebesgue almost every point but whose first hyperbolic time map is not integrable with respect to the Lebesgue measure.

We establish a generic sufficient condition for a compact $n$-dimensional manifold bearing an integrable geodesic flow to be the $n$-torus. As a complementary result, we show that in the case of domains of possible motions with boundary, the first Betti number of the domain of possible motions may be arbitrarily large.
We prove there is a class of maps $γ:\mathbb{T}^{2n}\rightarrow\mathbb{S}^1$ such that a conservative dynamically coherent partially hyperbolic skew-product on $\mathbb{T}^{2n}\times\mathbb{S}^1$ with fixed hyperbolic dynamics on the base and rotation by angle $γ$ acting on the fibers have integrable hyperbolic structure which also implies in particular that they are not contact diffeomorphisms. In dimension $3$, we prove the same result using a standard technique in Contact Geometry, namely, that of \emph{characteristic foliations}, which gives a simple proof of the result but with more tight…
We prove, for f a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism with center dimension one, two results about the integrability of its central bundle. On one side, we show that if the non wandering set of f is the whole manifold, and the manifold is 3 dimensional, then the absence of periodic points implies the unique integrability of the central bundle. On the opposite side, we prove that any periodic point p of large period n has an f n invariant center manifold, everywhere tangent to the center bundle. We also obtain, as a consequence of the last result, that there is an open and dense subset of C 1 r…
We show that any analytically integrable Hamiltonian system near an equilibrium point admits a convergent Birkhoff normalization. The proof is based on a new, geometric approach to the problem.
We prove that, for $C^1$-generic diffeomorphisms, if a homoclinic class is not hyperbolic, then there is a non-hyperbolic ergodic measure supported on it. This proves a conjecture by Díaz and Gorodetski [28]. We also discuss the conjectured existence of periodic points with different stable dimension in the class.
Let $f$ be a conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism, which is homotopic to an Anosov automorphism $A$ on $\mathbb{T}^3$. We show that the stable and unstable bundles of $f$ are jointly integrable if and only if every periodic point of $f$ admits the same center Lyapunov exponent with $A$. In particular, $f$ is Anosov. Thus every conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism, which is homotopic to an Anosov automorphism on $\mathbb{T}^3$, is ergodic. This proves the Ergodic Conjecture proposed by Hertz-Hertz-Ures on $\mathbb{T}^3$.
We consider a simple class of fast-slow partially hyperbolic dynamical systems and show that the (properly rescaled) behaviour of the slow variable is very close to a Friedlin--Wentzell type random system for times that are rather long, but much shorter than the metastability scale. Also, we show the possibility of a "sink" with all the Lyapunov exponents positive, a phenomenon that turns out to be related to the lack of absolutely continuity of the central foliation.
Given integers $g,n \geq 0$ satisfying $2-2g-n < 0$, let $\mathcal{M}_{g,n}$ be the moduli space of connected, oriented, complete, finite area hyperbolic surfaces of genus $g$ with $n$ cusps. We study the global behavior of the Mirzakhani function $B \colon \mathcal{M}_{g,n} \to \mathbf{R}_{\geq 0}$ which assigns to $X \in \mathcal{M}_{g,n}$ the Thurston measure of the set of measured geodesic laminations on $X$ of hyperbolic length $\leq 1$. We improve bounds of Mirzakhani describing the behavior of this function near the cusp of $\mathcal{M}_{g,n}$ and deduce that $B$ is square-integrable wi…
We prove that a Hamiltonian $p\in C^\infty(T^*{\bf R}^n)$ is locally integrable near a non-degenerate critical point $ρ_0$ of the energy, provided that the fundamental matrix at $ρ_0$ has no purely imaginary eigenvalues. This is done by using Birkhoff normal forms, which turn out to be convergent in the $C^\infty$ sense. We also give versions of the Lewis-Sternberg normal form near a hyperbolic fixed point of a canonical transformation. Then we investigate the almost holomorphic case.
We show that, to find a Poincare-Dulac normalization for a vector field is the same as to find and linearize a torus action which preserves the vector field. Using this toric characterization and other geometrical arguments, we prove that any local analytic vector field which is integrable in the non-Hamiltonian sense admits a local convergent Poincare-Dulac normalization. These results generalize the main results of our previous paper from the Hamiltonian case to the non-Hamiltonian case. Similar results are presented for the case of isochore vector fields.
We consider billiard ball motion in a convex domain on a constant curvature surface influenced by the constant magnetic field. We examine the existence of integral of motion which is polynomial in velocities. We prove that if such an integral exists then the boundary curve of the domain determines an algebraic curve in $\mathbf{C}^3$ which must be nonsingular. Using this fact we deduce that for any domain different from round disc for all but finitely many values of the magnitude of the magnetic field billiard motion does not have Polynomial in velocities integral of motion.
It is proved that the motion of a charge particle on a hyperbolic oriented two-dimensional surface in a magnetic field given by the volume form of the hyperbolic metric is completely integrable on the energy levels E < 1/2 in terms of real-analytic integrals. However it was known that on the level E=1/2 every trajectory is transitive and the restrictions of this flow onto the levels E>1/2 are Anosov flows
In this paper, we study the centralizer of a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism on $\mathbb{T}^3$ which is homotopic to an Anosov automorphism, and we show that either its centralizer is virtually trivial or such diffeomorphism is smoothly conjugate to its linear part.
We study the holonomy cocycle H of a holomorphic foliation \Fc by Riemann surfaces defined on a compact complex projective surface X satisfying the following two conditions: 1) its singularities E are all hyperbolic; 2) there is no holomorphic non-constant map \C\to X such that out of E the image of \C is locally contained in a leaf. Let T be a harmonic current tangent to \Fc which does not give mass to any invariant analytic curve. Using the leafwise Poincaré metric, we show that H is integrable with respect to T. Consequently, we infer the existence of the Lyapunov exponent function of T.
