We consider two-dimensional marked point processes which are Gibbsian with a two-body-potential U. U is supposed to have an internal continuous symmetry. We show that under suitable continuity conditions the considered processes are invariant under the given symmetry. We will achieve this by using Ruelle`s superstability estimates and percolation arguments.

Consider a sequence of Gibbsian line ensembles, whose lowest labeled curves (i.e., the edge) have tight one-point marginals. We study the one-dimensional projection of the extremal Gibbs measures of the two-dimensional Ising model, the "Schonmann projection". These measures are known to be non-Gibbsian at low temperatures, since their conditional probabilities as a function of the two-sided boundary conditions are not continuous. We prove that they are g-measures, which means that their conditional probabilities have a continuous dependence on one-sided boundary condition.

We extend the notion of Gibbsianness for mean-field systems to the set-up of general (possibly continuous) local state spaces. We show how decimated Gibbs measures which have an unbroken continuous symmetry due to the Mermin-Wagner theorem, although their discrete equivalents have a phase transition, still can become non-Gibbsian. The mechanism rests on the occurrence of a spin-flop transition with a broken discrete symmetry, once the model is constrained by the decimated spins in a suitably chosen "bad" configuration.

We investigate the Gibbs-measures of ferromagnetically coupled continuous spins in double-well potentials subjected to a random field (our specific example being the $ϕ^4$ theory), showing ferromagnetic ordering in $d\geq 3$ dimensions for weak disorder and large energy barriers. In this paper, we find a series of equalities which characterize the symmetry of the forming times of a family of similar cycles for discrete-time and continuous-time Markov chains.
