Minimal free multi models for chain algebras

Let R be a local ring and A a connected differential graded algebra over R which is free as a graded R-module. Using homological perturbation theory techniques, we construct a minimal free multi model for A having properties similar to that of an ordinary minimal model over a field; in particular the model is unique up to isomorphism of multialgebras. The attribute multi refers to the category of multicomplexes.

An Algebraic Chain Model of String Topology

A chain complex model for the free loop space of a connected, closed and oriented manifold is presented, and on its homology, the Gerstenhaber and Batalin-Vilkovisky algebra structures are defined and identified with the string topology structures. The gravity algebra on the equivariant homology of the free loop space is also modeled. The construction includes non simply-connected case, and therefore gives an algebraic and chain level model of Chas-Sullivan's String Topology.

Computing a minimal resolution over the Steenrod algebra

We describe an algorithm that allows to compute a minimal resolution of the Steenrod algebra. The algorithm has built-in knowledge about vanishing lines for the cohomology of sub Hopf algebras of the Steenrod algebra which makes it both faster and more economical than the generic approach.

Goodwillie calculus in the category of algebras over a chain complex operad

Sullivan minimal models of operad algebras

We prove the existence of Sullivan minimal models of operad algebras, for a quite wide family of operads in the category of complexes of vector spaces over a field of characteristic zero. Our construction is an adaptation of Sullivan's original step by step construction to the setting of operad algebras. The family of operads that we consider includes all operads concentrated in degree 0 as well as their minimal models. An algorithm to compute minimal Sullivan algebras

In this note, we give an algorithm that starting with a Sullivan algebra gives us its minimal model. This algorithm is a kind of modified AT-model algorithm used to compute in the past other kinds of topology information such as (co)homology, cup products on cohomology and persistent homology. Taking as input a (non-minimal) Sullivan algebra $A$ with an ordered finite set of generators preserving the filtration defined on $A$, we obtain as output a minimal Sullivan algebra with the same rational cohomology as $A$.

Equivariant chain complexes, twisted homology and relative minimality of arrangements

We show that the equivariant chain complex associated to a minimal CW-structure X on the complement M(A) of a hyperplane arrangement A, is independent of X. When A is a sufficiently general linear section of an aspheric arrangement, we explain a new way for computing the twisted homology of M(A).

Minimal algebras and $2-$step nilpotent Lie algebras in dimension 7

We use the methods of \cite{BM} to give a classification of $7-$dimensional minimal algebras, generated in degree 1, over any field $\bk$ of characteristic $\textrm{char}(\bk)\neq 2$, whose characteristic filtration has length 2. Equivalently, we classify $2-$step nilpotent Lie algebras in dimension 7. This classification also recovers the real homotopy type of $7-$dimensional $2-$step nilmanifolds.

Chains(R) does not admit a geometrically meaningful properadic homotopy Frobenius algebra structure

The embedding Chains(R) into Cochains(R) as the compactly supported cochains might lead one to expect Chains(R) to carry a nonunital commutative Frobenius algebra structure, up to a degree shift and some homotopic weakening of the axioms. We prove that under reasonable "locality" conditions, a cofibrant resolution of the dioperad controlling nonunital shifted-Frobenius algebras does act on Chains(R), and in a homotopically-unique way. The complex of formal operations on the Hochschild chains of commutative algebras

We compute the homology of the complex of formal operations on the Hochschild complex of differential graded commutative algebras as defined by Wahl and prove that these can be built as infinite sums of operations obtained from Loday's shuffle operations, Connes' boundary operator and the shuffle product.

Feynman diagrams and minimal models for operadic algebras

We construct an explicit minimal model for an algebra over the cobar-construction of a differential graded operad. The structure maps of this minimal model are expressed in terms of sums over decorated trees. We introduce the appropriate notion of a homotopy equivalence of operadic algebras and show that our minimal model is homotopy equivalent to the original algebra.
