We define and study a class of entwined modules (stable anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules) that serve as coefficients for the Hopf-cyclic homology and cohomology. In particular, we explain their relationship with Yetter-Drinfeld modules and Drinfeld doubles. Among sources of examples of stable anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules, we find Hopf-Galois extensions with a flipped version of the Miyashita-Ulbrich action.

We introduce Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a weak Hopf algebra $H$, and show that the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules is isomorphic to the center of the category of $H$-modules. In the present work, we study Yetter-Drinfeld algebras over a pairing of multiplier Hopf algebras. Our main motivation is the construction of a self-dual theory of (C*-)algebraic quantum transformation groupoids. Instead of the standard characterization of Yetter-Drinfeld algebras given in the case of Hopf algebras, we develop an equivalent "only coaction" characterization in the framework of multiplier Hopf algebras. Finally, as a special case, we focus on Yetter-Drinfeld structures over Van Daele's algebraic quantum groups.
In this work, we study another characterization of Yetter-Drinfeld algebras over finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. We show the equivalence between this characterization, called the "only coaction" characterization, and the standard "action-coaction" characterization. Let $k$ be a field, and $H$ a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode. If $H$ is commutative, noetherian, semisimple and cosemisimple, then the category ${}_{H}{\mathcal {YD}}^H$ of Yetter-Drinfeld modules is semisimple. We also prove a similar statement for the category of Long dimodules, without the assumption that $H$ is commutative.
We prove that a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra with the dual Chevalley Property over a field of characteristic zero is quasi-isomorphic to a Radford-Majid bosonization whenever the third Hochschild cohomology group in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules of its diagram with coefficients in the base field vanishes. Let $(R^{\vee},R)$ be a dual pair of Hopf algebras in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode. We construct a braided T-category {\cal YD}(H) having all these categories as components, which if H is finite dimensional coincides with the representations of a certain quasitriangular T-coalgebra DT(H) that we construct. We provide an analog of the Joyal-Street center construction and of the Kassel-Turaev categorical quantum double in the context of the crossed categories introduced by Turaev. Then, we focus or attention to the case of categories of representation. In particular, we introduce the notion of a Yetter-Drinfeld module over a crossed group coalgebra H and we prove that both the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over H and the center of the category of representations of H as well as the category of representations of the quantum double of H are isomorphic as braided crossed categories.

The finite dimensional Nichols algebras of diagonal type are of Cartan type $A_1$, $A_1\times A_1$, $A_2$, Super type ${A}_{2}(q;I_2)$ and the Nichols algebra $\mathfrak{ufo}(8)$. We define notions of pivotal and ribbon objects in a monoidal category. These constructions give pivotal or ribbon monoidal categories from a monoidal category which is not necessarily with duals. We apply this construction to the braided monoidal category of Yetter--Drinfeld modules over a Hopf algebra. We will obtain properties about the geometry of the support of Nichols systems and their Yetter-Drinfeld modules, by looking at iterated reflections. In this paper we introduce the notion of weak operator and the theory of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a weak braided Hopf algebra with invertible antipode in a strict monoidal category. We prove that the class of such objects constitutes a non strict monoidal category. We rederive a popular nonsemisimple fusion algebra in the braided context, from a Nichols algebra. Together with the decomposition that we find for the product of simple Yetter-Drinfeld modules, this strongly suggests that the relevant Nichols algebra furnishes an equivalence with the triplet W-algebra in the (p,1) logarithmic models of conformal field theory. In this paper we relate a problem in representation theory - the study of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over certain braided Hopf algebras - to a problem in two-dimensional quantum field theory, namely the identification of integrable perturbations of a conformal field theory. We develop a Hopf cyclic theory with coefficients in stable-anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules for \times-Hopf coalgebras. We use \times-Hopf coalgebras to study coextensions of coalgebras. The cyclic (co)homology of Hopf algebras is defined by Connes and Moscovici [math.DG/9806109] and later extended by Khalkhali et.al [math.KT/0306288] to admit stable anti-Yetter-Drinfeld coefficient module/comodules. In this paper we will show that one can further extend the cyclic homology of Hopf algebras with coefficients non-trivially. The new homology, called the bialgebra cyclic homology, admits stable coefficient module/comodules, dropping the anti-Yetter-Drinfeld condition. The relationship between comodules of a coring and flat connections is reviewed. In particular we specialise to corings which are built on a tensor product of algebra and a coalgebra. Such corings are in one-to-one correspondence with entwining structures, and their comodules are entwined modules. These include Yetter-Drinfeld and anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules and their generalisations, hence all the modules of interest to Hopf-cyclic cohomology. Let $H$ be a Hopf algebra over a commutative ring $k$ with unity and $σ:H\otimes H\longrightarrow k$ be a cocycle on $H$. In this paper, we show that the Yetter-Drinfeld module category of the cocycle deformation Hopf algebra $H^σ$ is equivalent to the Yetter-Drinfeld module category of $H$. As a result of the equivalence, the "quantum Brauer" group BQ$(k,H)$ is isomorphic to BQ$(k,H^σ)$. Moreover, the group $\Gal(\HR)$ constructed in \cite{Z} is studied under a cocycle deformation.
