On eigenvalues of Lamé operator

We introduce two integral representations of monodromy on Lamé equation. By applying them, we obtain results on hyperelliptic-to-elliptic reduction integral formulae, finite-gap potential and eigenvalues of Lamé operator.

Eigenvalue Problems for Lamé's Differential Equation

The Floquet eigenvalue problem and a generalized form of the Wangerin eigenvalue problem for Lamé's differential equation are discussed. Results include comparison theorems for eigenvalues and analytic continuation, zeros and limiting cases of (generalized) Lamé-Wangerin eigenfunctions. Algebraic Lamé functions and Lamé polynomials appear as special cases of Lamé-Wangerin functions.

Uniform asymptotic approximations for the Lamé and Mathieu functions and their respective eigenvalues with a large parameter

By application of the theory for second-order linear differential equations with two turning points developed in \cite{Olver1975}, uniform asymptotic approximations are obtained for the Lamé and Mathieu functions with a large real parameter. The approximations are expressed in terms of parabolic cylinder functions, and are uniformly valid in their respective real open intervals. In all cases explicit bounds are supplied for the error terms associated with the approximations. Approximations are also obtained for their respective eigenvalues.

Absence of singular continuous spectra and embedded eigenvalues for one dimensional quantum walks with general long-range coins

This paper is a continuation of the paper \cite{W} by the third author, which studied quantum walks with special long-range perturbations of the coin operator. In this paper, we consider general long-range perturbations of the coin operator and prove the non-existence of a singular continuous spectrum and embedded eigenvalues. The proof relies on the construction of generalized eigenfunctions (Jost solutions) which was studied in the short-range case in \cite{MSSSSdis}.

The study of polynomial solutions to the classical Lamé equation in its algebraic form, or equivalently, of double-periodic solutions of its Weierstrass form has a long history. Analytic continuation of solutions of the pantograph equation by means of $θ$-modular formula

The aim of this paper is to treat the constant coefficients functional-differential equation $y'(x)=ay(qx)+by(x)$ with the help of the analytic theory of linear $q$-difference equations.
