Complete hyperbolicity of small Euclidean balls with respect to a C^1-smooth almost complex structure standard at origin is improved to give a complete hyperbolicity of strictly pseudoconvex domains. More precise (and lower) regularity assumptions on almost complex structure are made also for another results.

Intersection of almost complex submanifolds

We show the intersection of a compact almost complex subvariety of dimension $4$ and a compact almost complex submanifold of codimension $2$ is a $J$-holomorphic curve. This is a generalization of positivity of intersections for $J$-holomorphic curves in almost complex $4$-manifolds to higher dimensions. On complex points of codimension 2 submanifolds

In this paper we study the structure of complex points of codimension 2 real submanifolds in complex $n$ dimensional manifolds. We show that the local structure of a complex point up to isotopy only depends on their type (either elliptic or hyperbolic). We also show that any such submanifold can be smoothly isotoped into a submanifold that has 2-strictly pseudoconvex neighborhood basis.

Regularity and estimates for $J$-holomorphic discs attached to a maximal totally real submanifold

We prove that pseudo-holomorphic discs attached to a maximal totally real submanifold inherit their regularity from the regularity of the submanifold and of the almost complex structure. The proof is based on the computation of an explicit lower bound for the Kobayashi metric in almost complex manifolds, which also yields explicit estimates of Hölderian norms of such discs.

Boundaries of Levi-flat hypersurfaces: special hyperbolic points

Let $S\subset \C^n$, $n\geq 3$ be a compact connected 2-codimensional submanifold having the following property: there exists a Levi-flat hypersurface whose boundary is $S$, possibly as a current. Our goal is to get examples of such $S$ containing at least one special 1-hyperbolic point: sphere with two horns; elementary models and their gluing. The particular cases of graphs are also described.

The Umehara algebra is studied with motivation on the problem of the non-existence of common complex submanifolds. In this paper, we prove some new results in Umehara algebra and obtain some applications.
