We study an integration theory in circle equivariant cohomology in order to prove a theorem relating the cohomology ring of a hyperkahler quotient to the cohomology ring of the quotient by a maximal abelian subgroup, analogous to a theorem of Martin for symplectic quotients. We discuss applications of this theorem to quiver varieties, and compute as an example the ordinary and equivariant cohomology rings of a hyperpolygon space.

Stratification of singular hyperkahler quotients

Hyperkahler quotients by non-free actions are typically highly singular, but are remarkably still partitioned into smooth hyperkahler manifolds. We show that these partitions are topological stratifications, in a strong sense. We also endow the quotients with global Poisson structures which induce the hyperkahler structures on the strata. Finally, we give a local model which shows that these quotients are locally isomorphic to linear complex-symplectic reductions in the GIT sense. Hyperkahler analogues of Kahler quotients

Let X be a Kahler manifold that is presented as a Kahler quotient of C^n by the linear action of a compact group G. We define the hyperkahler analogue M of X as a hyperkahler quotient of the cotangent bundle T^*C^n by the induced G-action. On the cohomology of hyperkahler quotients

This paper gives a partial desingularisation construction for hyperkähler quotients and a criterion for the surjectivity of an analogue of the Kirwan map to the cohomology of hyperkähler quotients. This criterion is applied to some linear actions on hyperkähler vector spaces.

Quantum Witten localization and abelianization for qde solutions

We prove a quantum version of the localization formula of Witten that relates invariants of a git quotient with the equivariant invariants of the action. Using the formula we prove a quantum version of an abelianization formula of S. Martin relating invariants of geometric invariant theory quotients by a group and its maximal torus, conjectured by Bertram, Ciocan-Fontanine, and Kim. Equivariant Jeffrey-Kirwan localization theorem in non-compact setting

We generalize the Jeffrey-Kirwan localization theorem for non-compact symplectic and hyperKahler quotients. Similarly to the circle compact integration of Hausel and Proudfoot we define equivariant integrals on non-compact manifolds using the Atiyah-Bott-Berline-Vergne localization formula as formal definition. We introduce a so called equivariant Jeffrey-Kirwan residue and we show that it shares similar properties as the usual one. Stratified hyperkahler spaces from semisimple Lie algebras

We study singular hyperkahler quotients of the cotangent bundle of a complex semisimple Lie group as stratified spaces whose strata are hyperkahler. Abelianization and the Duistermaat-Heckman theorem

Fix a compact connected Lie group $G$ with Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, as well as a strong Gelfand-Cetlin datum on $\mathfrak{g}^*$. Let us also fix a connected symplectic manifold $M$ endowed with an effective Hamiltonian $G$-action and proper moment map. We associate to such information a measure on $\mathbb{R}^{\mathrm{b}}$, where $\mathrm{b}=\frac{1}{2}(\dim G+\mathrm{rank}\hspace{2pt}G)$. We also express the Radon-Nikodym derivative of this measure in terms of the volumes of the symplectic quotients of $M$ by $G$, and thereby prove a non-abelian version of the Duistermaat-Heckman theorem.
