We construct the Fock space representations for the quantum affine algebra of type $C_2^{(1)}$ in terms of Young walls. Using this construction, we give a generalized Lascoux-Leclerc-Thibon algorithm for computing the global bases of the basic representations.
We construct the Fock space representations of classical quantum affine algebras using combinatorics of Young walls. We also show that the crystal graphs of the Fock space representations can be realized as the abstract crystal consisting of proper Young walls. Finally, we give a generalized version of Lascoux-Leclerc-Thibon algorithm for computing the global bases of the basic representations of classical quantum affine algebras.
We define canonical bases of the higher-level q-deformed Fock space modules of the affine Lie algebra sl(n)^. This generalizes the result of Leclerc and Thibon for the case of level 1. We express the transition matrices between the canonical bases and the natural bases of the Fock spaces in terms of affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
We construct actions of the affine Yangian of type A on higher level Fock spaces by extending known actions of the Yangian of finite type A due to Uglov. This is a degenerate analog of a result by Takemura-Uglov, which constructed actions of the quantum toroidal algebra on higher level $q$-deformed Fock spaces.
The localized equivariant homology of the quiver variety of type $A_{N-1}^{(1)}$ can be identified with the level one Fock space by assigning a normalized torus fixed point basis to certain symmetric functions, Jack($\mathfrak{gl}_N$) symmetric functions introduced by Uglov. We show that this correspondence is compatible with actions of two algebras, the Yangian for $\mathfrak{sl}_N$ and the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_N$, on both sides. Consequently we obtain affine Yangian action on the Fock space.
The decompositions of the Fock and Basic modules of the affine Lie algebra \hat{sl(N)} into irreducible submodules of the Yangian algebra Y(gl(N)) are constructed. Each of the irreducible submodules admits the unique up to normalization eigenbasis of the maximal commutative subalgebra of the Yangian. The elements of this eigenbasis are identified with specializations of Macdonald symmetric functions where both parameters of these functions approach an N-th primitive root of unity.
The natural representation of the quantized affine algebra of type A can be defined via the deformed Fock space by Misra and Miwa. This relates the classes of Weyl modules for a type A quantum group at a root of unity to the action of the quantized affine algebra as the rank tends towards infinity. In this paper we investigate the situation outside of type A. In classical types, we construct embeddings of the Grothendieck group of finite dimensional modules for the corresponding quatum group at a root of unity into Fock spaces of different charges and define an action of an affine quantum symm…
In this paper we categorify the Heisenberg action on the Fock space via the category O of cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras. This permits us to relate the filtration by the support on the Grothendieck group of O to a representation theoretic grading defined using the Heisenberg action. This implies a recent conjecture of Etingof.
We give an explicit expression for the central elements of affine Hecke algebras of type A in the Coxeter presentation, in terms of (parabolic) affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. Our approach is based on a version of quantum affine Schur-Weyl duality involving the Hall algebra of a cyclic quiver, on the theory of canonical bases and on the higher-level q-deformed Fock spaces recently introduced by Uglov.
We consider $C^*$-algebra $Isom_{q_{ij}}$ generated by $n$ isometries $a_1, \ldots, a_n$ satisfying the relations $a_i^* a_j = q_{ij} a_j a_i^*$ with $\max |q_{ij}| < 1$. This $C^*$-algebra is shown to be nuclear. We prove that the Fock representation of $Isom_{q_{ij}}$ is faithful. Further we describe an ideal in $Isom_{q_{ij}}$ which is isomorphic to the algebra of compact operators.
We construct and study in detail various dual pairs acting on some Fock representations between a finite dimensional Lie group and a completed infinite rank affine algebra associated to an infinite affine Cartan matrix. We give explicit decompositions of a Fock representation into a direct sum of irreducible isotypic subspaces with respect to the action of a dual pair, present explicit formulas for the common highest weight vectors and calculate the corresponding highest weights. We further outline applications of these dual pairs to the study of tensor products of modules of such an infinite …
We construct the twisted Fock module of quantum toroidal $\mathfrak{gl}_1$ algebra with a slope $n'/n$ using vertex operators of quantum affine $\mathfrak{gl}_n$. The proof is based on the $q$-wedge construction of an integrable level-one $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_n)$-module and the representation theory of double affine Hecke algebra. The results are consistent with Gorsky-Neguţ conjecture (Kononov-Smirnov theorem) on stable envelopes for Hilbert schemes of points in the plane and can be viewed as a manifestation of $(\mathfrak{gl}_1,\mathfrak{gl}_n)$-duality.
The aim of this paper is to generalize several aspects of the recent work of Leclerc-Thibon and Varagnolo-Vasserot on the canonical bases of the level 1 q-deformed Fock spaces due to Hayashi. Namely, we define canonical bases for the higher-level q-deformed Fock spaces of Jimbo-Misra-Miwa-Okado and establish a relation between these bases and (parabolic) Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials for the affine Weyl group of type $A^{(1)}_{r-1}.$ As an application we derive an inversion formula for a sub-family of these polynomials. This article is an extended version of math.QA/9901032
We construct a Fock space representation and the action of the two-parameter quantum algebra $U_{r,s}(\frak{gl}_{\infty})$ using extended Young diagrams. In particular, we obtain an integrable representation of the two-parameter quantum affine algebra of type $C_n^{(1)}$ which is a two-parameter generalization of Kang-Misra-Miwa's realization.
In this paper we study the Fock representation of a certain $*$-algebra which appears naturally in the framework of quantum group theory. It is also a generalization of the twisted CCR-algebra introduced by W. Pusz and S.~Woronowicz. We prove that the Fock representation is a faithful irreducible representation of the algebra by bounded operators in a Hilbert space, and, moreover, it is the only (up to unitary equivalence) representation possessing these properties. Keywords and phrases: Fock representation, quantum groups, bounded symmetric domain, non-compact Hermitian symmetric spaces
We give some closed formulas for certain vectors of the canonical bases of the Fock space representation of U_v(sl^_n). As a result, a combinatorial description of certain parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials for affine type A is obtained.
We describe the Fock space representations and crystal bases for the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra of type $C_n^{(1)}$ in terms of coloured Young diagrams.
We categorify the extended affine Hecke algebra and the affine quantum Schur algebra S(n,r) for 2 < r < n, using Elias-Khovanov and Khovanov-Lauda type diagrams. We also define the affine analogue of the Elias-Khovanov and the Khovanov-Lauda 2-representations of these categorifications into an extension of the 2-category of affine (singular) Soergel bimodules.
We associate elliptic affine Lie algebras with what are called vertex $\C((z))$-algebras and their modules in a certain category. In the course, we construct two families of Lie algebras closely related to elliptic affine Lie algebras.
We construct a model of the affine nil-Hecke algebra as a subalgebra of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra associated to a Yetter-Drinfeld module over the affine Weyl group. We also discuss the Peterson isomorphism between the homology of the affine Grassmannian and the small quantum cohomology ring of the flag variety in terms of the braided differential calculus.
In this paper we prove that the affine Schur algebra $\whS(n,r)$ is affine quasi-hereditary. This result is then applied to show that $\whS(n,r)$ has finite global dimension and its centralizer subquotient algebras are Laurent polynomial algebras. We also use the result to give a parameter set of simple $\whS(n,r)$-modules and identify this parameter set with that given in \cite{DDF}.
We introduce a new family of symmetric functions, which are $q$-analogues of products of Schur functions defined in terms of ribbon tableaux. These functions can be interpreted in terms of the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra of type $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ and are related to Hall-Littlewood functions via the geometry of flag varieties. We present a series of conjectures, and prove them in special cases. The essential step in proving that these functions are actually symmetric consists in the calculation of a basis of highest weight vectors of the $q$-Fock space using ribbon tab…
A representation of the Quantum Toroidal Algebra of type sl(N) is constructed on every irreducible integrable highest weight module of the Quantum Affine Algebra of type gl(N). As an intermediate step in the construction, we obtain a quantum analogue of the classical level-rank duality, describing the reciprocal decomposition of the q-Fock space with respect to mutually commutative actions of U_q(gl(N)^) of level L, and U_q(sl(L)^) of level N.
We define a canonical basis of the $q$-deformed Fock space representation of the affine Lie algebra $\glchap_n$. We conjecture that the entries of the transition matrix between this basis and the natural basis of the Fock space are $q$-analogues of decomposition numbers of the $v$-Schur algebras for $v$ specialized to a $n$th root of unity.
We construct new irreducible weight modules over quantum affine algebras of type I with all weight spaces infinite-dimensional. These modules are obtained by parabolic induction from irreducible modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra.
Generalizing our earlier work, we introduce the homogeneous quantum $Z$-algebras for all quantum affine algebras $\alg$ of type one. With the new algebras we unite previously scattered realizations of quantum affine algebras in various cases. As a result we find a realization of $U_q(F_4^{(1)})$.
In this paper, we study nullity-2 toroidal extended affine Lie algebras in the context of vertex algebras and their $ϕ$-coordinated modules. Among the main results, we introduce a variant of toroidal extended affine Lie algebras, associate vertex algebras to the variant Lie algebras, and establish a canonical connection between modules for toroidal extended affine Lie algebras and $ϕ$-coordinated modules for these vertex algebras. Furthermore, by employing some results of Billig, we obtain an explicit realization of irreducible modules for the variant Lie algebras.
In this paper, we study Virasoro vertex algebras and affine vertex algebras over a general field of characteristic $p>2$. More specifically, we study certain quotients of the universal Virasoro and affine vertex algebras by ideals related to the $p$-centers of the Virasoro algebra and affine Lie algebras. Among the main results, we classify their irreducible $\mathbb{N}$-graded modules by explicitly determining their Zhu algebras and show that these vertex algebras have only finitely many irreducible $\mathbb{N}$-graded modules and they are $C_2$-cofinite.
Let $U_q(\frak{g})$ a the quantum affine algebra of type $A_n^{(1)}$, $A_{2n-1}^{(2)}$, $A_{2n}^{(2)}$, $B_n^{(1)}$, $D_n^{(1)}$ and $D_{n+1}^{(2)}$, and let $\mathcal{F}(Λ)$ be the Fock space representation for a level 1 dominant integral weight $Λ$. Using the crystal basis of $\mathcal{F}(Λ)$ and its characterization in terms of abacus, we construct an explicit bijection between the set of weight vectors in $\mathcal{F}(Λ)_{λ-mδ}$ ($m\geq 0$) for a maximal weight $λ$ and the set of certain ordered sequences of partitions. As a corollary, we obtain the string function of the basic representat…
Invariant affine reflection algebras are the last and the most general known extension of affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras, introduced in recent years. We develop a method known as "affinization" to the class of invariant affine reflection algebras, and show that starting with an algebra from this class together with a certain finite order automorphism, and applying the so called "loop construction", we obtain again an invariant affine reflection algebra. This can be considered as an important step towards the realization of invariant affine reflection algebras.
We give a summary of the theory of (weak) quantum vertex $\C((t))$-algebras and the association of quantum affine algebras with (weak) quantum vertex $\C((t))$-algebras.
The main aim of the paper is to formulate and prove a result about the structure of double affine Hecke algebras which allows its two commutative subalgebras to play a symmetric role. This result is essential for the theory of intertwiners of double affine Hecke algebras.
In our earlier work, we have proved a product formula for certain decomposition numbers of the cyclotomic v-Schur algebra associated to the Ariki-Koike algebra. It is conjectured by Yvonne that the decomposition numbers of this algebra can be described in terms of the canonical basis of the higher level Fock space studied by Uglov. In this paper we prove a product formula related to the canonical basis of the Fock space. In view of Yvonne's conjecture, this formula is regarded as a counter-part for the Fock space of our previous formula.
A unified view of general multimode oscillator algebras with Fock-like representations is presented. It extends a previous analysis of the single-mode oscillator algebras. The expansion of the $a_ia_j^{\dagger}$ operators is extended to include all normally ordered terms in creation and annihilation operators and we analyze their action on Fock-like states. We restrict ourselves to the algebras compatible with number operators. The connection between these algebras and generalized statistics is analyzed. We demonstrate our approach by considering the algebras obtainable from the generalized Jordan…
We use the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra of type $A^{(2)}_{2n}$ to obtain a description of the global crystal basis of its basic level 1 module. We formulate a conjecture relating this basis to decomposition matrices of spin symmetric groups in characteristic $2n+1$.
We show that the different labelings of the crystal graph for irreducible highest weight $\mathcal{U}\_q (\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}\_e)$-modules lead to different labelings of the simple modules for non semisimple Ariki-Koike algebras by using Lusztig $a$-values.
A decomposition of the level-one $q$-deformed Fock representations of $\uqn$ is given. It is found that the action of $\upqn$ on these Fock spaces is centralized by a Heisenberg algebra, which arises from the center of the affine Hecke algebra $\widehat{H}_N$ in the limit $N \rightarrow \infty$. The $q$-deformed Fock space is shown to be isomorphic as a $\upqn$-Heisenberg-bimodule to the tensor product of a level-one irreducible highest weight representation of $\upqn$ and the Fock representation of the Heisenberg algebra. The isomorphism is used to decompose the $q$-wedging operators, which a…
We relate the canonical basis of the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{n})$, as defined by Leclerc and Thibon, to the canonical basis of its restriction to $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_{n})$, regarded as a based module in the sense of Lusztig. More generally we consider the restriction to any parabolic subalgebra. We deduce results on decomposition numbers and branching coefficients of Schur algebras over fields of positive characteristic, generalising those of Kleshchev and of Tan and Teo.
The algebraic engineering technique is applied to a class of 3D $\mathcal{N}=2$ gauge theories on the omega-deformed background $\mathbb{R}_ε^2\times S^1$. The vortex partition function and the fundamental qq-character are obtained from a network of intertwiners between representations of the shifted (or asymptotic) quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ algebra. This network involves two types of representations, the prefundamental representation of Hernandez-Jimbo, and a new vertex representation acting on a bosonic Fock space. The brane system associated to this network is identified: D3 branes …
The fermionic Fock space admits two different actions of the quantized enveloping algebra of $\hat\sln$> The first one is a q-deformation of the well-known level-one representation of the affine Lie algebra and the second one is a new level-zero action arising from solvable lattices models. In this paper we prove that these two constructions can be glued together to get a representation of a new object: the toridal quantum group. This representation involves some difference operatorators. It is due to the fact that the specialization at q=1 of the toroidal algebra is isomorphic to the envelopi…
We compare the canonical bases of level-$1$ quantised Fock spaces in affine types $A^{(1)}$ and $A^{(2)}$, showing how to derive the canonical basis in type $A^{(2)}_{2n}$ from the the canonical basis in type $A^{(1)}_n$ in certain weight spaces. In particular, we derive an explicit formula for the canonical basis in extremal weight spaces, which correspond to RoCK blocks of double covers of symmetric groups. In a forthcoming paper with Kleshchev and Morotti we will use this formula to find the decomposition numbers for RoCK blocks of double covers with abelian defect.
We give a simple characterization of the highest weight vertices in the crystal graph of the level l Fock spaces. This characterization is based on the notion of totally periodic symbols viewed as affine analogues of reverse lattice words classically used in the decomposition of tensor products of fundamental $\mathfrak{sl}_{n}$-modules. This yields a combinatorial decomposition of the Fock spaces in their irreducible components and the branching law for the restriction of the irreducible highest weight $\mathfrak{sl}_{\infty}$-modules to $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_{e}}$.
We present a fast version of the algorithm of Lascoux, Leclerc, and Thibon for the lower global crystal base for the Fock representation of quantum affine sl_n. We also show that the coefficients of the lower global crystal base coincide with certain affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. It is known that the coefficients of the global crystal base are q-analogues of decomposition numbers for Specht modules of the Hecke algebra of type A_n, and that the coefficients of the affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials are q-analogues of decomposition numbers for tilting modules for quantum sl_k. Thus our al…
We present a general vertex operator construction based on the Fock space for an affine Lie algebras of type $A$. This construction allows us to give a unified treatment for both the homogeneous and principle realizations of the affine Lie algebras $\hat{gl}_N$ as well as for some extended affine Lie algebras coordinatized by certain quantum tori.
We introduce the spin Hecke algebra, which is a q-deformation of the spin symmetric group algebra, and its affine generalization. We establish an algebra isomorphism which relates our spin (affine) Hecke algebras to the (affine) Hecke-Clifford algebras of Olshanski and Jones-Nazarov. Relation between the spin (affine) Hecke algebra and a nonstandard presentation of the usual (affine) Hecke algebra is displayed, and the notion of covering (affine) Hecke algebra is introduced to provide a link between these algebras. Various algebraic structures for the spin (affine) Hecke algebra are establishe…
We describe a generalization of Drinfeld's description of the center of a quantum group to the case of quantum affine algebras. We use the obtained central elements to construct the affine analogue of Macdonald's difference operators.
We write the fermionic $q$-Fock space representation of $U_q(\hat{sl_n})$ as an infinite extended braided tensor product of finite-dimensional fermionic $U_q(sl_n)$-quantum planes or exterior algebras. Using braided geometrical techniques developed for such quantum exterior algebras, we provide a new approach to the Kashiwara-Miwa-Stern action of the Heisenberg algebra on the $q$-fermionic Fock space, obtaining the action in detail for the lowest nontrivial case $[b_{2},b_{-2}]=2({1-q^{-4n}\over 1-q^{-4}})$. Our R-matrix approach includes other Hecke R-matrices as well.
We establish Drinfeld realization for the two-parameter twisted quantum affine algebras using a new method. The Hopf algebra structure for Drinfeld generators is given for both untwisted and twisted two-parameter quantum affine algebras, which include the quantum affine algebras as special cases.
Associated to the classical Weyl groups, we introduce the notion of degenerate spin affine Hecke algebras and affine Hecke-Clifford algebras. For these algebras, we establish the PBW properties, formulate the intertwiners, and describe the centers. We further develop connections of these algebras with the usual degenerate (i.e. graded) affine Hecke algebras of Lusztig by introducing a notion of degenerate covering affine Hecke algebras.
We consider an abstract Wick ordering as a family of relations on elements a_i and define *-algebras by these relations. The relations are given by a fixed operator T:h\otimes h --> h \otimes h, where h is one-particle space, and they naturally define both a *-algebra and an inner-product space H_T, <.,.>_T. If a_i^* denotes the adjoint, i.e., <a_iϕ,ψ>_T=<ϕ,a_i^*ψ>_T, then we identify when <.,.>_T is positive semidefinite (the positivity question). In the case of deformations of the CCR-relations (the q_{ij}-CCR and the twisted CCR's), we work out the universal C*-algebras A, and we prove that…
The Misra-Miwa $v$-deformed Fock space is a representation of the quantized affine algebra of type A. It has a standard basis indexed by partitions and the non-zero matrix entries of the action of the Chevalley generators with respect to this basis are powers of $v$. Partitions also index the polynomial Weyl modules for the quantum group $U_q(gl_N)$ as $N$ tends to infinity. We explain how the powers of $v$ which appear in the Misra-Miwa Fock space also appear naturally in the context of Weyl modules. The main tool we use is the Shapovalov determinant for a universal Verma module
