Constructions of n-Lie algebras by strong n-Lie-Poisson algebras are given. First cohomology groups of adjoint module of Jacobian algebras are calculated. Minimal identities of 3-Jacobian algebra are found.
We introduce the notion of Fibonacci and Lucas derivations of the polynomial algebras and prove that any element of kernel of the derivations defines a polynomial identity for the Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials. Also, we prove that any polynomial identity for Appel polynomial yields a polynomial identity for the Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials and describe the corresponding intertwining maps.
As originally defined by Ashraf and Mozumder, multiplicative (generalized)-skew derivations must satisfy two identities. In this short note we show that, as a consequence of the simultaneous satisfaction of both identities, a multiplicative (generalized)-skew derivation of a prime ring is either a multiplicative (generalized) derivation (i.e., not skew), or a generalized skew derivation (i.e., additive). Therefore only one of the identities should be taken in the definition of multiplicative (generalized)-skew derivations in order to get a new class of derivations in prime rings.
In this paper we study the growth of the differential identities of some algebras with derivations, i.e., associative algebras where a Lie algebra $L$ (and its universal enveloping algebra $U(L)$) acts on them by derivations. In particular, we study in detail the differential identities and the cocharacter sequences of some algebras whose sequence of differential codimensions has polynomial growth. Moreover, we shall give a complete description of the differential identities of the algebra $UT_2$ of $2\times 2$ upper triangular matrices endowed with all possible action of a Lie algebra by deri…
Suppose a finite dimensional semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ acts by derivations on a finite dimensional associative or Lie algebra $A$ over a field of characteristic $0$. We prove the $\mathfrak g$-invariant analogs of Wedderburn - Mal'cev and Levi theorems, and the analog of Amitsur's conjecture on asymptotic behavior for codimensions of polynomial identities with derivations of $A$. It turns out that for associative algebras the differential PI-exponent coincides with the ordinary one. Also we prove the analog of Amitsur's conjecture for finite dimensional associative algebras with an …
In this article we develop an approach to deformations of the Witt and Virasoro algebras based on $σ$-derivations. We show that $σ$-twisted Jacobi type identity holds for generators of such deformations. For the $σ$-twisted generalization of Lie algebras modeled by this construction, we develop a theory of central extensions. We show that our approach can be used to construct new deformations of Lie algebras and their central extensions, which in particular include naturally the $q$-deformations of the Witt and Virasoro algebras associated to $q$-difference operators, providing also correspond…
Let $k$ be an arbitrary field of characteristic $0$. It is shown that for any $n\geq 1$ the universal enveloping algebras of the Poisson symplectic algebra $P_n(k)$ and the Weyl algebra $A_n(k)$ are isomorphic and the canonical isomorphism between them easily leads to the Moyal product. A basis of the universal enveloping algebra $P^e$ of a free Poisson algebra $P=k\{x_1,...,x_n\}$ is constructed and proved that the left dependency of a finite number of elements of $P^e$ over $P^e$ is algorithmically recognizable. We prove that if two elements of a free Poisson algebra do not generate a free t…
Three problems connecting functional identities to the recently introduced notion of a zero Lie product determined Banach algebra are discussed. The first one concerns commuting linear maps, the second one concerns derivations that preserve commutativity, and the third one concerns bijective commutativity preserving linear maps.
The purpose of this short note is to consider multi-variate Hasse-Schmidt derivations on exterior algebras and to show how they easily provide remarkable identities, holding in the algebra of square matrices, which generalise the classical theorem of Cayley-Hamilton.
Let $K$ be an infinite field of characteristic different from two and let $U_1$ be the Lie algebra of the derivations of the algebra of Laurent polynomials $K[t,t^{-1}]$. The algebra $U_1$ admits a natural $\mathbb{Z}$-grading. We provide a basis for the graded identities of $U_1$ and prove that they do not admit any finite basis. Moreover, we provide a basis for the identities of certain graded Lie algebras with a grading such that every homogeneous component has dimension $\leq 1$, if a basis of the multilinear graded identities is known. As a consequence of this latter result we are able to…
We study classical R-matrices D for Lie algebras L such that D is also a derivation of L. This yields derivation double Lie algebras (L,D). The motivation comes from recent work on post-Lie algebra structures on pairs of Lie algebras arising in the study of nil-affine actions of Lie groups. We prove that there are no nontrivial simple derivation double Lie algebras, and study related Lie algebra identities for arbitrary Lie algebras.
Gelfand--Dorfman bialgebras (GD-algebras) are nonassociative systems with two bilinear operations satisfying a series of identities that express Hamiltonian property of an operator in the formal calculus of variations. The paper is devoted to the study of GD-algebras related with differential Poisson algebras. As a byproduct, we obtain a general description of identities that hold for operations $a\succ b = d(a)b$ and $a\prec b = ad(b)$ on a (non-associative) differential algebra with a derivation~$d$.
Filipov proved that Jacobian algebra is n-Lie. In our paper we consider algebras defined on associative commutative algebra U with derivation $\der$ by (k+1)-multiplication $V^{0,1,...,k}=\der^0\wedge\der^1\wedge...\wedge \der^k$ (Wronskian). We study whether they have (k+1)-Lie, k-left commutative and homotopical (k+1)-Lie structures.
Let $K$ be any field of characteristic two and let $U_1$ and $W_1$ be the Lie algebras of the derivations of the algebra of Laurent polynomials $K[t,t^{-1}]$ and of the polynomial ring $K[t]$, respectively. The algebras $U_1$ and $W_1$ are equipped with natural $\mathbb{Z}$-gradings. In this paper, we provide bases for the graded identities of $U_1$ and $W_1$, and we prove that they do not admit any finite basis.
It is known that every nonzero Jordan ideal of $2$-torsion free semiprime rings contains a nonzero ideal. In this paper we show that also any square closed Lie ideal of a $2$-torsion free prime ring contains a nonzero ideal. This can be interpreted by saying that studying identities over one sided ideals is the "optimal" case to study identities. With this fact in mind, we generalize some results of Dhara, Rehman and Raza in [Lie ideals and action of generalized derivations in rings, Miskolc Mathematical Notes, \textbf{16} (2015), 769 -- 779] to the context of nonzero left ideals.
Let $P_n=k[x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n]$ be the polynomial algebra over a field $k$ of characteristic zero in the variables $x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n$ and $\mathscr{L}_n$ be the left-symmetric Witt algebra of all derivations of $P_n$. We describe all right operator identities of $\mathscr{L}_n$ and prove that the set of all algebras $\mathscr{L}_n$, where $n\geq 1$, generates the variety of all left-symmetric algebras. We also describe a class of general (not only right operator) identities for $\mathscr{L}_n$.
This paper begins by introducing the concept of a quasi-hom-Lie algebra which is a natural generalization of hom-Lie algebras introduced in a previous paper by the authors. Quasi-hom-Lie algebras include also as special cases (color) Lie algebras and superalgebras, and can be seen as deformations of these by homomorphisms, twisting the Jacobi identity and skew-symmetry. The natural realm for these quasi-hom-Lie algebras is as a generalization-deformation of the Witt algebra $\Witt$ of derivations on the Laurent polynomials $\C[t,t^{-1}]$. We also develop a theory of central extensions for qhl-…
