We consider the problem of representing the Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{g}(N)$ specified by an $r\times r$ indecomposable generalised Cartan matrix $N$ as vector fields on the torus ${{\bb C}^*}^r$. It is shown that, if the representations are of a certain form, this is possible if and only if $\mathfrak{g}(N)\cong sl(r+1,{\bb C})$ or $\tilde{sl}(r,{\bb C})$. For $sl(r+1,{\bb C})$ and $\tilde{sl}(r,{\bb C})$, discrete families of representations are constructed. These generalise the well-known discrete families of representations of $sl(2,{\bb C})$ as regular vector fields on ${\bb C}^*$
In this paper we have computed all the affine Kac-Moody symmetric spaces which are tame Frechet manifolds starting from the Vogan diagrams related to the affine untwisted Kac-Moody algebras. The detail computation of affine Kac-Moody symmetric spaces associated with A_1^(1) and A_2^(1) are shown algebraically to corroborate our method.
We construct the entire generalized Kac-Moody Lie algebra as a quotient of the positive part of another generalized Kac-Moody Lie algebra. The positive part of a generalized Kac-Moody Lie algebra can be constructed from representations of quivers using Ringel's Hall algebra construction. Thus we give a direct realization of the entire generalized Kac-Moody Lie algebra.
We look to gradations of Kac-Moody Lie algebras by Kac-Moody root systems with finite dimensional weight spaces. We extend, to general Kac-Moody Lie algebras, the notion of C-admissible pair as introduced by H. Rubenthaler and J. Nervi for semi-simple and affine Lie algebras. We introduce Koszul modules associated with (graded) Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We provide a precise criterion for when these modules are of finite length. As an exemplary application we deduce a bound on the dimension of the second graded component for a certain class of graded Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We also provide an exact description of all nilpotent Kac-Moody Koszul modules.
The goal of the present paper is to obtain new free field realizations of affine Kac-Moody algebras motivated by geometric representation theory for generalized flag manifolds of finite-dimensional semisimple Lie groups. We provide an explicit construction of a large class of irreducible modules associated with certain parabolic subalgebras covering all known special cases.
We consider the subalgebras of split real, non-twisted affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras that are fixed by the Chevalley involution. These infinite-dimensional Lie algebras are not of Kac-Moody type and admit finite-dimensional unfaithful representations. We exhibit a formulation of these algebras in terms of $\mathbb{N}$-graded Lie algebras that allows the construction of a large class of representations using the techniques of induced representations. We study how these representations relate to previously established spinor representations as they arise in the theory of supergravity.
This paper classifies irreducible, integrable highest weight modules for "current Kac-Moody Algebras" with finite dimensional weight spaces. We prove that these modules turn out to be modules of appropriate direct sums of finitely many copies of Kac-Moody Lie algebras.

In 2014, Braverman, Kazhdan, Patnaik and Bardy-Panse, Gaussent and Rousseau associated Iwahori-Hecke algebras to Kac-Moody groups over non-Archimedean local fields. In a previous paper, we defined and studied their principal series representations. In 1982, Kato provided an irreducibility criterion for these representations, in the reductive case. We had obtained partially this criterion in the Kac-Moody case. In this paper, we prove this criterion in the Kac-Moody case.

We define Eisenstein series on rank 2 hyperbolic Kac--Moody groups over R, induced from quasi--characters. We prove convergence of the constant term and hence the almost everywhere convergence of the Eisenstein series. We define and calculate the degenerate Fourier coefficients. We also consider Eisenstein series induced from cusp forms and show that these are entire functions.
In this paper we discuss the isomorphism types of parabolic subgroups in Kac-Moody groups. The results have applications in the study of topology of Kac-Moody groups and their classifying spaces.

We study representations of the Loop Kac-Moody Lie algebra g \otimes A, where g is any Kac-Moody algebra and A is a ring of Laurent polynomials in n commuting variables. In particular, we study representations with finite dimensional weight spaces and their graded versions. When we specialize g to be a finite dimensional or affine Lie algebra we obtain modules for toroidal Lie algebras.

For a finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the Jacobson--Morozov theorem gives a construction of subalgebras $\mathfrak{sl}_2 \subset \mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to nilpotent elements of $\mathfrak{g}$. In this note, we propose an extension of the Jacobson--Morozov theorem to the symmetrizable Kac--Moody setting and give a proof of this generalization in the case of rank two hyperbolic Kac--Moody algebras. We also give a proof for an arbitrary symmetrizable Kac--Moody algebra under some stronger restrictions.
In this paper, we prove that the ring of polynomial invariants of the Weyl group for an indecomposable and indefinite Kac-Moody Lie algebra is generated by invariant symmetric bilinear form or is trivial depending on $A$ is symmetrizable or not. The result was conjectured by Moody and assumed by Kac. As applications we discuss the rational homotopy types of Kac-Moody groups and their flag manifolds.

By a generalized Tannaka-Krein reconstruction we associate to the admissible representations of the category O of a Kac-Moody algebra, and its category of admissible duals a monoid with a coordinate ring. We described in [M1] a monoid acting on the integrable highest weight modules of a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra. It has similar structural properties as a reductive algebraic monoid with unit group a Kac-Moody group. Now we find natural extensions of the action of the Kac-Moody group on its building to actions of this monoid. These extensions are partly motivated by representation theory and the combinatorics of the faces of the Tits cone.
The Kac-Moody correction factor, first studied by Macdonald in the affine case, corrects the failure of an identity found by Macdonald in finite-dimensional root systems in 1972. Subsequntly this factor appeared in several formulas in the affine or Kac-Moody analogue of $p$-adic spherical theory for reductive groups. In this article we view the inverse of this correction factor as a function, prove the convergency and holomorphy of this function on a certain domain.

There exist principal $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras for hyperbolic Kac-Moody Lie algebras. In the case of rank 2 symmetric hyperbolic Kac-Moody Lie algebras, certain $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras are constructed. These subalgebras are generalizations of principal $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras. We show that the rank 2 symmetric hyperbolic Kac-Moody Lie algebras themselves are irreducibly decomposed under the action of this $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras. We define the spherical Hecke algebra for an (untwisted) affine Kac-Moody group over a local non-archimedian field. We prove a generalization of the Satake isomorphism for these algebras, relating it to integrable representations of the Langlands dual affine Kac-Moody group. In the next publication we shall use these results to define and study the notion of Hecke eigenfunction for the group $G_{\aff}$
We introduce a generalization of the classical Hall-Littlewood and Kostka-Foulkes polynomials to all symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. We prove that these Kostka-Foulkes polynomials coincide with the natural generalization of Lusztig's $t$-analog of weight multiplicities, thereby extending a theorem of Kato. For $g$ an affine Kac-Moody algebra, we define $t$-analogs of string functions and use Cherednik's constant term identities to derive explicit product expressions for them.

In this paper, we discuss the Poincaré series of Kac-Moody Lie algebras, especially for indefinite type. Firstly, we compute the Poincaré series of certain indefinite Kac-Moody Lie algebras whose Cartan matrices have the same type of $2\times 2$ principal sub-matrices. Secondly, we show that the Poincaré series of Kac-Moody Lie algebras satisfy certain interesting properties. Lastly we give some applications of the Poincaré series to other fields. A correction factor naturally arises in the theory of p-adic Kac--Moody groups. In this paper, we expand the correction factor into a sum of irreducible characters of the underlying Kac--Moody algebra. We derive a formula for the coefficients, which lie in the ring of power series with integral coefficients. In the case that the Weyl group is a universal Coxeter group, we show that the coefficients are actually polynomials.
In 1980 Lusztig proved a stabilisation property of the affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. In this paper we give a categorical version of such a result using the theory of sheaves on moment graphs. This leads us to associate with any Kac-Moody algebra its stable moment graph.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of abstract crystals for quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras and study their fundamental properties. We then prove the crystal embedding theorem and give a characterization of the crystals $B(\infty)$ and $B(\la)$.
We determine the Lie subalgebra $\mathfrak{g}_{nil}$ of a Borcherds symmetrizable generalized Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ generated by $ad$-locally nilpotent elements and show that it is `essentially' the same as the Levi subalgebra of $\mathfrak{g}$ with its simple roots precisely the real simple roots of $\mathfrak{g}$.
Generalized root systems (GRS), that were introduced by V. Serganova, are a generalization of finite root systems (RS). We define a generalization of affine root systems (ARS), which we call $\textit{affine generalized root systems}$ (AGRS). The set of real roots of almost every symmetrizable affine indecomposable Kac-Moody superalgebra is an irreducible AGRS. In this paper we classify all AGRSs and show that almost every irreducible AGRS is the set of real roots of a symmetrizable affine indecomposable Kac-Moody superalgebra.
