The Moebius energy of a knot is an energy functional for smooth curves based on an idea of self-repelling. If a knot has a thick tubular neighborhood, we would intuitively expect the energy to be low. In this paper, we give explicit bounds for energy in terms of the ropelength of the knot, i.e. the ratio of the length of a thickest tube to its radius.

We prove that every knot in the 3-space bounds an embedded punctured Moebius band whose other boundary component is a quasipositive fibred knot.

We conjecture explicit evolution formulas for Khovanov polynomials for pretzel knots in some regions in the windings space. Our description is exhaustive for genera 1 and 2. As previously observed, evolution at T != -1 is not fully smooth: it switches abruptly at the boundaries between different regions.
