Nuclear semimodules and kernel theorems in idempotent analysis. An algebraic approach

In this note we describe conditions under which, in idempotent functional analysis, linear operators have integral representations in terms of idempotent integral of V. P. Maslov. We define the notion of nuclear idempotent semimodule and describe idempotent analogs of the classical kernel theorems of L. Schwartz and A. Grothendieck. A theorem on eigenvectors in idempotent spaces

This paper suggests an algebraic version of the theorem on the existence of eigenvectors for linear operators in abstract idempotent spaces. Earlier, the theorem on the existence of eigenvectors was only known for the cases of a free finite-dimensional semimodule and for compact operators in semimodules of real continuous functions.

Duality and separation theorems in idempotent semimodules

We consider subsemimodules and convex subsets of semimodules over semirings with an idempotent addition. We introduce a nonlinear projection on subsemimodules: the projection of a point is the maximal approximation from below of the point in the subsemimodule. We use this projection to separate a point from a convex set. We also show that the projection minimizes the analogue of Hilbert's projective metric. Linear functionals on idempotent spaces: an algebraic approach

In this paper, we present an algebraic approach to idempotent functional analysis, which is an abstract version of idempotent analysis. The basic concepts and results are expressed in purely algebraic terms. We consider idempotent versions of certain basic results of linear functional analysis, including the theorem on the general form of a linear functional and the Hahn-Banach and Riesz-Fischer theorems.

Kernel theorems and nuclearity in idempotent mathematics. An algebraic approach

In the framework of idempotent mathematics, analogs of the classical kernel theorems of L. Schwartz and A. Grothendieck are studied. Idempotent versions of nuclear spaces (in the sense of A. Grothendieck) are discussed. The so-called algebraic approach is used. This means that the basic concepts and results (including those of "topological" nature) are simulated in purely algebraic terms.

Idempotent functional analysis: an algebraic approach

In this paper we consider Idempotent Functional Analysis, an `abstract' version of Idempotent Analysis developed by V. P. Maslov and his collaborators. Algebraic properties of the group inverse

We investigate properties of the group inverse in rings with unit related to products and differences of idempotents, and thus we extend some results from \cite{DENG} to more general settings. We show that most part of \cite{DENG} is easily translated into the context of rings with unit, and that there are some difficulties in generalizing statements dealing with complementary idempotents.

Nice connecting paths in connected components of sets of algebraic elements in a Banach algebra

Generalizing earlier results about the set of idempotents in a Banach algebra, or of self-adjoint idempotents in a $C^*$-algebra, we announce constructions of nice connecting paths in the connected components of the set of elements in a Banach algebra, or of self-adjoint elements in a $C^*$-algebra, that satisfy a given polynomial equation, without multiple roots. In particular, we will prove that in the Banach algebra case every such non-central element lies on a complex line, all of whose points satisfy the given equation. We also formulate open questions.
