We study the inverse scattering problem for electric potentials and magnetic fields in $\ere^d, d\geq 3$, that are asymptotic sums of homogeneous terms at infinity. The main result is that all these terms can be uniquely reconstructed from the singularities in the forward direction of the scattering amplitude at some positive energy.

We extend earlier numerical and analytical considerations of the conformally invariant wave equation on a Schwarzschild background from the case of spherically symmetric solutions, discussed in Class. Heun-Polynomial Representation of Regular-at-Infinity Solutions for the Basic SUSY Ladder of Hyperbolic Pöschl-Teller Potentials Starting from the Reflectionless Symmetric Potential Well

It is shown that the regular-at-infinity solution of the 1D Schrodinger equation with the hyperbolic Poschl-Teller (h-PT) potential with integer parameters is expressible in terms of a n-order Heun polynomial in y=thr at an arbitrary negative energy. It was proven that the Heun polynomials in question form a subset of generally complex Lambe-Ward polynomials corresponding to zero value of the accessory parameter. On the transfer of energy towards infinity in the theory of weak turbulence for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation

We study the mathematical properties of a kinetic equation which describes the long time behaviour of solutions to the weak turbulence equation associated to the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation. In particular, we give a precise definition of weak solutions and prove global existence of solutions for all initial data with finite mass. Conservation of asymptotic charges from past to future null infinity: Maxwell fields

On any asymptotically-flat spacetime, we show that the asymptotic symmetries and charges of Maxwell fields on past null infinity can be related to those on future null infinity as recently proposed by Strominger. We extend the covariant formalism of Ashtekar and Hansen by constructing a 3-manifold of both null and spatial directions of approach to spatial infinity. Asymptotic behaviours of q-orthogonal polynomials from a q-Riemann Hilbert Problem

We describe a Riemann-Hilbert problem for a family of $q$-orthogonal polynomials, $\{ P_n(x) \}_{n=0}^\infty$, and use it to deduce their asymptotic behaviours in the limit as the degree, $n$, approaches infinity. We find that the $q$-orthogonal polynomials studied in this paper share certain universal behaviours in the limit $n\to\infty$. In particular, we observe that the asymptotic behaviour near the location of their smallest zeros, $x \sim q^{n/2}$, and norm, $\|P_n\|_2$, are independent of the weight function as $n\to\infty$.

Cosmic infinity: A dynamical system approach

Dynamical system techniques are extremely useful to study cosmology. It turns out that in most of the cases, we deal with finite isolated fixed points corresponding to a given cosmological epoch.
