We study the phenomenon of an eigenvalue emerging from essential spectrum of a Schroedinger operator perturbed by a fast oscillating compactly supported potential. We prove the sufficient conditions for the existence and absence of such eigenvalue. If exists, we obtain the leading term of its asymptotics expansion.

We study the spectrum of a one-dimensional Schroedinger operator perturbed by a fast oscillating potential. The oscillation period is a small parameter. The essential spectrum is found in an explicit form. The existence and multiplicity of the discrete spectrum are studied. The complete asymptotics expansions for the eigenvalues and the associated eigenfunctions are constructed.

We study a random Schroedinger operator, the Laplacian with random Dirac delta potentials on a torus T^d_L = R^d/LZ^d, in the thermodynamic limit L\to\infty, for dimension d=2. We show that this operator possesses a sequence of approximately equidistant complex-valued wavenumbers situated near the real axis. The Schroedinger equation is considered on the line when the potential is real valued, compactly supported, and square integrable. The nonuniqueness is analyzed in the recovery of such a potential from the data consisting of the ratio of a corresponding reflection coefficient to the transmission coefficient.
