Wigner-Eckart theorem for tensor operators of Hopf algebras

We prove Wigner-Eckart theorem for the irreducible tensor operators for arbitrary Hopf algebras, provided that tensor product of their irreducible representation is completely reducible. The proof is based on the properties of the irreducible representations of Hopf algebras, in particular on Schur lemma. Two classes of tensor operators for the Hopf algebra U$_{t}$(su(2)) are considered. The reduced matrix elements for the class of irreducible tensor operators are calculated. A construction of some elements of the center of U$_{t}$(su(2)) is given.

Tensor operators in graded representations of Z_{2}-graded Hopf algebras are defined and their elementary properties are derived. Wigner-Eckart theorem for irreducible tensor operators for U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] is proven. Examples of tensor operators in the irreducible representation space of Hopf algebra U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] are considered. The reduced matrix elements for the irreducible tensor operators are calculated. A construction of some elements of the center of U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] is given.

Tensor operators and Wigner-Eckart theorem for U_q->0(sl(2))

Crystal tensor operators, which tranform under U_q->0(sl(2)), in analogous way as the vectors of the crystal basis, are introduced. The Wigner-Eckart theorem for the crystal tensor is defined: the selection rules depend on the initial state and on the component of the tensor operator; the transition amplitudes to the states of the same final irreducible representation are all equal.

Wigner-Eckart theorem for the non-compact algebra sl(2,R)

We present the explicit formulae relating Hopf maps with Wigner's little groups. They, particularly, explain simple action of group on a fiber for the first and second Hopf fibrations, and present most simplified form for the third one. Commutation Relations for Double Tensors of Two Equivalent D Electrons

We apply the Clebsch-Gordan and Racah coefficients to calculate the double tensors for two equivalent d electrons. We also obtain the commutation relations for these double tensors and choose certain quantum numbers, which produce a subgroup. From the root vectors of the commutation relations, we identify them with Lie algebra B2. Once we have the correct Lie algebra, it is feasible to use the Wigner-Eckart theorem to find matrix elements for transition states among atomic spectra or nuclear shell models.

An Alternative Basis for the Wigner-Racah Algebra of the Group SU(2)

Asymptotic Analysis of the Wigner $3j$-Symbol in the Bargmann Representation

We derive the leading asymptotic limit of the Wigner $3j$-symbol from a stationary phase approximation of a twelve dimensional integral, obtained from an inner product between two exact Bargmann wavefunctions. We show that, by the construction of the Bargmann inner product, the stationary phase conditions have a geometric description in terms of the Hopf fibration of ${\mathbb C}^6$ into ${\mathbb R}^3 \times {\mathbb R}^3 \times {\mathbb R}^3$. Non-compact groups, tensor operators and applications to quantum gravity

This work focuses on non-compact groups and their applications to quantum gravity, mainly through the use of tensor operators.
