Within a light-cone QCD formalism based on the Green function technique incorporating color transparency, coherence length effects and gluon shadowing we study electroproduction of vector mesons off nuclei. We found rather large color transparency effects in the range of Q^2 < 10-20 GeV^2. They are stronger at low than at high energies and can be easily identified by HERMES or at JLab. We provide predictions for incoherent and coherent vector meson production for future measurements.
About possible influence of birefringence effect on processes of production (photoproduction, electroproduction) of vector mesons (particles with the spin S greater or equal then 1) in nuclei
$η_c$-nucleus bound state energies are calculated for various nuclei. Essential input for the calculations, namely the medium-modified $D$ and $D^{*}$ meson masses, as well as the density distributions in nuclei, are calculated within the quark-meson coupling (QMC) model. The attractive potentials for the $η_c$ meson in the nuclear medium originate from the in-medium enhanced $DD^{*}$ loops in the $η_c$ self-energy. Our results suggest that the $η_c$ meson should form bound states with all the nuclei considered.
We study the photoproduction of vector mesons off proton and off nuclear targets. We work within the colour dipole model in an approach that includes subnucleon degrees of freedom, so-called hot spots, whose positions in the impact-parameter plane change event-by-event. The key feature of our model is that the number of hot spots depends on the energy of the photon--target interaction. Predictions are presented for exclusive and dissociative production of $ρ^{0}$, $\mathrm{J/}ψ$, and $Υ(1S)$ off protons, as well as for coherent and incoherent photoproduction of $ρ^{0}$ off nuclear targets, whe…
Recent results for the $η_c$- and $J/ψ$-nucleus bound state energies for various nuclei are presented. The attractive potentials for the $η_c$ and $J/ψ$ mesons in the nuclear medium originate, respectively, from the in-medium enhanced $DD^{*}$ and $D\bar{D}$ loops in the $η_c$ and $J/ψ$ self energies. Our results suggest that the $η_c$ and $J/ψ$ mesons should form bound states with all the nuclei considered.
The present status in the field of strange mesons in nuclei and neutron stars is reviewed. In particular, the $\bar K N$ interaction, that is governed by the presence of the $Λ(1405)$, is analyzed and the formation of the $\bar K NN$ bound state is discussed. Moreover, the properties of $\bar K$ in dense nuclear matter are studied, in connection with strangeness production in nuclear collisions and kaon condensation in neutron stars.
The interaction of Nucleon-Nucleon (NN) has certain physical characteristics, which indicated by nucleon, and meson degrees of freedom. The main purpose of this work is calculating the ground state energies of 21 Deutron and Alfa through the two-body system with the exchange of mesons (Pi, segma, omega) that mediated between two nucleons. This paper investigates NN interaction based on the quasi-relativistic decoupled Dirac equation and self-consistent Hartree-Fock formulation. We construct one-boson exchange potential (OBEP) model, where each nucleon is treated as a Dirac particle and acts as…
We study the inclusive strange vector meson $K^*(892)^+$ production in ${π^-}A$ reactions at near-threshold laboratory incident pion momenta of 1.4--2.0 GeV/c within a nuclear spectral function approach. The approach accounts for incoherent primary $π^-$ meson--proton ${π^-}p \to {K^*(892)^+}Σ^-$ production processes as well as the influence of the scalar $K^*(892)^+$--nucleus potential (or the $K^*(892)^+$ in-medium mass shift) on these processes. We calculate the absolute differential and total cross sections for the production of $K^*(892)^+$ mesons off carbon and tungsten nuclei at laborat…
