Lattice studies of the doubly-charm tetraquark $T_{cc}=cc\bar u\bar d$ require the determination of the $DD^*$ scattering amplitude, which most often incorporate only meson-meson interpolators. We additionally incorporate diquark-antidiquark operators and find that these have some impact on certain eigenenergies. This study presents the first extraction of the $DD^*$ scattering amplitude based on the meson-meson as well as diquark antidiquark interpolators. The effect of the additional operators renders
slightly smaller values of $p\cot δ_0$ and a $T_{cc}$ pole slightly closer to the threshold. The scattering amplitude is extracted from eigenenergies by adopting plane-wave and effective-field-theoretic methods, which also incorporate the left-hand cut and address the partial wave mixing. The $T_{cc}$ is found to be a subthreshold resonance with a pole at $m_{T_{cc}}-m_D-m_{D^*}=-5.2^{+0.7}_{-0.8} - i \cdot 6.3^{+2.4}_{-4.8}~$MeV, employing CLS ensembles with $m_π\simeq 280~$MeV and the distillation method. A more significant effect of diquark-antidiquark operators on eigen-energies is found for larger heavy quark masses relevant for $T_{bb}$. We find that deeply bound $T_{bb}$ does not emerge when employing only meson-meson operators, where each meson is separately momentum projected, while the deeply bound state emerges after adding local diquark antidiquark operators.
We compare two frequently discussed competing structures for a stable $\bar b \bar b u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ by considering a meson-meson as well as a diquark-antidiquark creation operator. We treat the heavy antiquarks as static with fixed positions and find diquark-antidiquark dominance for $\bar b \bar b$ separations $r < 0.2 \, \text{fm}$, while for $r > 0.5 \, \text{fm}$ the system essentially corresponds to a pair of $B$ mesons. For the meson-meson to diquark-antidiquark ratio of the tetraquark we obtain around $58\%/42\%$.
In recent years, the existence of a hadronically stable $\bar{b} \bar{b} u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ was confirmed by first principles lattice QCD computations. In this work we use lattice QCD to compare two frequently discussed competing structures for this tetraquark by considering meson-meson as well as diquark-antidiquark creation operators. We use the static-light approximation, where the two $\bar{b}$ quarks are assumed to be infinitely heavy with frozen positions, while the light $u$ and $d$ quarks are fully relativistic. By minimizing effective energies and b…
We discuss a recent lattice study of charmonium-like mesons with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ and three quark contents $\bar cc\bar du$, $\bar cc(\bar uu + \bar dd)$ and $\bar cc\bar ss$, where the latter two can mix with $\bar cc$. In this quantum channel, the long known exotic candidate, X(3872), resides. This simulation employs $N_f=2$, $m_π=266~$MeV and a large basis of $\bar cc$, two-meson and diquark-antidiquark interpolating fields, with diquarks in both anti-triplet and sextet color representations. It aims at the possible signatures of four-quark exotic states. Along the way, we discuss the relati…
We perform a lattice study of charmonium-like mesons with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ and three quark contents $\bar cc \bar du$, $\bar cc(\bar uu+\bar dd)$ and $\bar cc \bar ss$, where the later two can mix with $\bar cc$. This simulation with $N_f=2$ and $m_π=266$ MeV aims at the possible signatures of four-quark exotic states. We utilize a large basis of $\bar cc$, two-meson and diquark-antidiquark interpolating fields, with diquarks in both anti-triplet and sextet color representations. A lattice candidate for X(3872) with I=0 is observed very close to the experimental state only if both $\bar cc$ and…
In this study, we use the molecular and diquark-antidiquark tetraquark pictures to investigate magnetic and quadrupole moments of the $B_c$-like ground state tetraquarks with the QCD light-cone sum rules with quantum numbers $J^P = 1^+$. In the numerical analysis, to obtain the magnetic and quadrupole moments of $B_c$-like tetraquark states molecular and diquark-antidiquark forms of interpolating currents, and photon distribution amplitudes have been used. The magnetic moments are acquired as $ μ_{Z_{uc \bar u \bar b}}^{Mol}=1.18^{+0.52}_{-0.40}~μ_N$, $μ_{Z_{uc \bar u \bar b}}^{Di}=3.05^{+1.19…
We calculate the magnetic dipole moment of the newly observed charged hidden-charmed open strange $ Z_{cs}(3985)^- $ state, recently observed by BESIII Collaboration. Based on the information provided by the experiment and theoretical studies followed the observation, we assign the quantum numbers $ J^{P} = 1^{+}$ and the quark composition $ c \bar c s\bar u $ to this state and estimate the magnetic dipole moment of this resonance in both the compact diquark-antidiquark and molecular pictures. We apply the light cone QCD formalism and use the distribution amplitudes of the on-shell photon with…
Four exotic charmonium-like states, i.e. $X(4140)$, $X(4274)$, $X(4500)$, and $X(4700)$, have been observed very recently by LHCb Collaboration in the decay process $B^+\to J/ψϕK^+$ using the 3${\rm fb}^{-1}$ data of $p\bar p$ collision at $\sqrt s= 7$ and $8$ TeV. In this paper, we investigate systematically the properties of hidden charm tetraquark states. The hidden charm tetraquarks form an octet configuration and a singlet configuration according to flavor $SU(3)$ symmetry. Based on a diquark-antidiquark model, the hidden charm tetraquarks spectra are given. The previous XYZ exotic states…
Motivated by the discovery of fully open-flavor tetraquark states $X_0(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$ by the LHCb Collaboration, the magnetic dipole moment of the $X_1(2900)$ state with the quantum numbers $ J^{P} = 1^{-}$ is determined in the diquark-antidiquark picture using the light-cone sum rules. The numerical result is obtained as $ μ_{X_1}=0.79^{+0.36}_{-0.39}\,μ_N$. The magnetic moments of hadrons encompasses useful knowledge on the distributions of charge and magnetization their inside, which can be used to better understand their geometrical shapes and quark-gluon organizations. The observa…
Using a relativized diquark model Hamiltonian, we calculate the masses of $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ ground-state tetraquarks in the following systems: $b s \bar b \bar s$, $bb \bar n \bar n$ ($n=u, d$), $bb \bar s \bar s$, $cc\bar c \bar c$, $b b \bar b \bar b$, $b c\bar b \bar c$ and $b b \bar c \bar c$. We also compute extensive spectra for the fully-heavy quark flavour combinations. Finally, as a test of the diquark model approach, we compute the masses of fully-heavy baryons in the diquark model. Our results may be compared soon to the forthcoming experimental data for fully-heavy three-quark system…
We propose a new schematic model for mesons in which the building blocks are quarks and flavor-antisymmetric diquarks. The outcome is a new classification of the entire meson spectrum into quark-antiquark and diquark-antidiquark states which does not give rise to a radial quantum number: all mesons which have so far been believed to be radially excited are orbitally excited diquark-antidiquark states; similarly, there are no radially excited baryons. Further, mesons that were previously viewed as "exotic" are no longer exotic as they are now naturally integrated into the classification as diqu…
We study light scalar mesons with particular focus on the a_0(980) using lattice QCD with 2+1+1 dynamical quark flavors. To investigate the structure of these scalar mesons and to identify, whether a sizeable tetraquark component is present, we use a large set of operators, including diquark-antidiquark, mesonic molecule and two-meson operators. We find that the low-lying states overlap essentially exclusively with two-meson states. This indicates that in the channels investigated no tightly bound four-quark states of either molecular or diquark-antidiquark type exist.
We study the light scalar mesons a_0(980) and kappa using N_f = 2+1+1 flavor lattice QCD. In order to probe the internal structure of these scalar mesons, and in particular to identify, whether a sizeable tetraquark component is present, we use a large set of operators, including diquark-antidiquark, mesonic molecule and two-meson operators. The inclusion of disconnected diagrams, which are technically rather challenging, but which would allow us to extend our work to e.g. the f_0(980) meson, is introduced and discussed.
Inspired by the observation of the doubly charmed state $T_{cc}$ and following theoretical studies on its spectroscopic parameters, we investigate its magnetic dipole moment assigning it the quantum numbers $J^P=1^+$ and both the compact diquark-antidiquark and molecular structures in the framework of the light-cone QCD. We also calculate the magnetic dipole moment of the theoretically predicted singly charmed state, $Z_V^{++}$, with two units of electric charge and the quantum numbers $J^P=1^-$ in diquark-antidiquark picture. The numerical results are obtained as $μ_{T_{cc}^+-Di} =0.66^{+0.34…
We investigate the mass spectrum of 1^{+} exotic mesons with quark content (\c\s\cbar\qbar) or (\c\q\cbar\sbar), using molecular and diquark-antidiquark operators, in quenched lattice QCD with exact chiral symmetry. For the molecular operator {(\qbarγ_i\c)(\cbarγ_5\s)-(\cbarγ_i\s)(\qbarγ_5\c)} and the diquark-antidiquark operator {(\q^T C γ_i \c)(\sbar C γ_5 \cbar^T)- (\q^T C γ_5 \c)(\sbar C γ_i^T \cbar^T)}, both detect a 1^{+} resonance with mass around 4010 +- 50 MeV in the limit m_q -> m_{u,d}.
With the spin rearrangement, we have performed a comprehensive investigation of the decay patterns of the S-wave tetraquarks and P-wave tetraquarks where the P-wave excitation exists either between the diquark and anti-diquark pair or inside the diquark. Especially, we compare the decay patterns of $Y(4260)$ with different inner structures such as the conventional charmonium, the molecule, the P-wave tetraquark and the hybrid charmonium. We notice the $J/ψππ$ mode is suppressed in the heavy quark symmetry limit if $Y(4260)$ is a molecular state. Moreover the hybrid charmonium and hidden-charm …
We determine the mass of tetraquark bound states from a coupled system of covariant Bethe-Salpeter equations. Similar in spirit to the quark-diquark model of the nucleon, we approximate the full four-body equation for the tetraquark by a coupled set of two-body equations with meson and diquark constituents. These are calculated from their quark and gluon substructure using a phenomenologically well-established quark-gluon interaction. For the lightest scalar tetraquark we find a mass of the order of 400 MeV and a wave function dominated by the pion-pion constituents. Both results are in agreem…
We calculate the masses of the $QQ\bar{q}\bar{q}$ ($Q=c,b$; $q=u,d,s$) tetraquark states with the aid of heavy diquark-antiquark symmetry (HDAS) and the chromomagnetic interaction (CMI) model. The masses of the highest-spin ($J=2$) tetraquarks that have only the $(QQ)_{\bar{3}_c}(\bar{q}\bar{q})_{3_c}$ color structure are related with those of conventional hadrons using HDAS. Thereafter, the masses of their partner states are determined with the mass splittings in the CMI model. Our numerical results reveal that: (i) the lightest $cc\bar{n}\bar{n}$ ($n=u,d$) is an $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$ state around …
According to a recent proposal of the tetraquark mixing framework, the two light-meson nonets in the $J^{P}=0^{+}$ channel, namely the light nonet composed of $a_0 (980)$, $K_0^* (800)$, $f_0 (500)$, $f_0(980)$, and the heavy nonet of $a_0 (1450)$, $K_0^* (1430)$, $f_0 (1370)$, $f_0 (1500)$, can be expressed by linear combinations of the two tetraquark types, one type containing the spin-0 diquark and the other with the spin-1 diquark. Among various consequences of this mixing model, one surprising result is that the second tetraquark with the spin-1 diquark configuration is more important for…
We present a numerical solution of the four-quark Bethe-Salpeter equation for ground-state scalar tetraquarks with J^PC = 0^++. We find that the four-body equation dynamically generates pseudoscalar-meson poles in the Bethe-Salpeter amplitude. The resulting tetraquarks are genuine four-quark states that are dominated by pseudoscalar meson-meson correlations. Diquark-antidiquark contributions are subleading because of their larger mass scale. In the light quark sector, the sensitivity of the tetraquark wave function to the pion poles leads to an isoscalar tetraquark mass M_sigma ~ 350 MeV which…
We investigate properties of the ground-state and first radially excited four-quark mesons $X_0$ and $X_0^{\prime}$ with a diquark-antidiquark structure $[ud][\overline{c}\overline{s}]$ and spin-parities $J^{\mathrm{P} }=0^{+}$. Our aim is to reveal whether or not one of these states can be identified with the resonance $X_0(2900)$, recently discovered by the LHCb collaboration. We model $X_0$ and $X_0^{\prime}$ as tetraquarks composed of either axial-vector or scalar diquark and antidiquark pairs. Their spectroscopic parameters are computed by employing the QCD two-point sum rule method and i…
In the simple color-magnetic interaction model, we investigate possible ground $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states in the diquark-antidiquark basis. We use several methods to estimate the mass spectrum and discuss possible assignment for the $X$ states observed in the $J/ψϕ$ channel. We find that assigning the Belle $X(4350)$ as a $0^{++}$ tetraquark is consistent with the tetraquark interpretation for the $X(4140)$ and $X(4270)$ while the interpretation of the $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ needs orbital or radial excitation. There probably exist several tetraquarks around 4.3 GeV that decay into $…
The parameters, i.e. the mass and current coupling of the exotic $X(5568)$ state observed by the D0 Collaboration as well as the decay width of the process $X \to B_s^{0}π^{+}$ are explored using $B\bar{K}$ molecule assumption on its structure. Employed computational methods include QCD two-point and light-cone sum rules, latter being considered in the soft-meson approximation. The obtained results are compared with the data of the D0 Collaboration as well as with the predictions of the diquark-antidiquark model. This comparison strengthens a diquark-antidiquark picture for the $X(5568)$ state…
We investigate the possibility of $qq^\prime \bar b \bar b$ tetraquark bound states using $n_f=2+1$ lattice QCD ensembles with pion masses $\simeq 164$, $299$, and $415$ MeV. Motivated by observations from heavy baryon phenomenology, we consider two lattice interpolating operators both of which are expected to couple efficiently to tetraquark states: one with diquark-antidiquark and one with a meson-meson structure. Using nonrelativistic QCD to simulate the bottom quarks, we study the $ud\bar b \bar b$, $\ell s\bar b \bar b$ channels with $\ell=u,d$, and find unambiguous signals for strong-int…
The lowest-lying charmonium-like tetraquarks $c\bar{c}q\bar{q}$ $(q=u,\,d)$ and $c\bar{c}s\bar{s}$, with spin-parity $J^P=0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$, and isospin $I=0$ and $1$, are systematically investigated within the theoretical framework of complex-scaling range for a chiral quark model that has already been successfully applied in former studies of various tetra- and penta-quark systems. A four-body $S$-wave configuration which includes meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and K-type arrangements of quarks, along with all possible color wave functions, is comprehensively considered. Several narrow…
