We compute the one-loop contributions to spin-averaged generalized parton distributions (GPDs) in the proton from pseudoscalar mesons with intermediate octet and decuplet baryon states at nonzero skewness. Our framework is based on nonlocal covariant chiral effective theory, with ultraviolet divergences regularized by introducing a relativistic regulator derived consistently from the nonlocal Lagrangian. Using the splitting functions calculated from the nonlocal Lagrangian, we find the nonzero skewness GPDs from meson loops by convoluting with the phenomenological pion GPD and the generalized distribution amplitude, and verify that these satisfy the correct polynomiality properties. We also compute the lowest two moments of GPDs to quantify the meson loop effects on the Dirac, Pauli and gravitational form factors of the proton.
We study Generalized Parton Distribution functions (GPDs) usually measured in hard exclusive processes and encoding information on the three dimensional partonic structure of hadrons and their spin decomposition, for non zero skewness within the AdS/QCD formalism. To this aim the canonical scheme to calculate GPDs at zero skewness has been properly generalized. Furthermore, we show that the latter quantities, in this non forward regime, are sensitive to non trivial details of the hadronic light front wave function, such as a kind of parton correlations usually not accessible in studies of form…
We present a study of the parton distributions in transverse position or impact parameter space using a recent parametrization of u and d quark generalized parton distributions (GPDs) $H(x,t)$ and $E(x,t)$ at zero skewness. We make a comparative study between different parametrizations and discuss the region of validity of the positivity condition.
We investigate the leading twist quark generalized transverse momentum distributions (GTMDs) at nonzero skewness in a light-front quark-diquark model for the nucleon motivated by soft-wall AdS/QCD. The boost-invariant longitudinal coordinate, $σ=\frac{1}{2} b^- P^+$, is identified as the Fourier conjugate of the skewness. The Fourier transform of the GTMDs with respect to the skewness variable $ξ$ can be employed to provide the Wigner distributions in the boost-invariant longitudinal position space $σ$, the coordinate conjugate to light-front time, $τ=t+z/c$. The Wigner distributions in the lo…
We present a global analysis program for the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) based on conformal moment expansion. We apply the strategy of universal moment parameterization to fit both the collinear parton distribution functions (PDFs) from phenomenology and generalized form factors from lattice calculations, and show that the parameterization is flexible enough to accommodate these constraints. In addition, we can also fit direct lattice calculations of GPDs from large-momentum effective theory. In this work we focus on the analysis of $t$-dependent PDFs which correspond to GPDs in th…
We investigate the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for u and d quarks in a proton in transverse and longitudinal position space using a recent phenomenological parametrization. We take nonzero skewness ζand consider the region x> ζ. Impact parameter space representation of the GPD E is found to depend sharply on the parameters used within the model, in particular in the low x region. In longitudinal position space a diffraction pattern is observed, as seen before in several other model
We study the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of pion for non-zero skewness by considering the leading $| q \bar{q} \rangle$ Fock state component. Inspired from AdS/QCD light-front wave functions, we calculate the pion GPDs. By taking the Fourier transforms we obtain the results for impact-parameter dependent parton distribution functions (ipdpdf) and for GPDs in longitudinal boost-invariant space. We also calculate the charge density and gravitational form factor of the pion. The pion unpolarized transverse momentum distribution (TMD) have also been calculated. The results provide rich…
We propose a physically motivated parametrization for the unpolarized generalized parton distributions. At zero value of the skewness variable, $ζ$, the parametrization is constrained by simultaneously fitting the experimental data on both the nucleon elastic form factors and the deep inelastic structure functions. A rich phenomenology can be addressed based on this parametrization. In particular, we track the behavior of the average: {\it i)} interparton distances as a function of the momentum fraction, $X$, {\it ii)} $X$ as a function of the four-momentum transfer, $t$; and {\it iii)} the in…
We investigate the helicity dependent generalized parton distributions (GPDs) in momentum as well as transverse position (impact) spaces for up and down quarks in a proton when the momentum transfer in both the transverse and longitudinal directions are nonzero. The GPDs are evaluated using the light-front wavefunctions of a quark-diquark model for nucleon where the wavefunctions are constructed by the soft-wall AdS/QCD correspondence. We also express the GPDs in the boost-invariant longitudinal position space.
We propose a physically motivated parametrization for the unpolarized generalized parton distributions, H and E, valid at both zero and non-zero values of the skewness variable, ζ. Our approach follows a previous detailed study of the ζ=0 case where H and E were determined using constraints from simultaneous fits of the experimental data on both the nucleon elastic form factors and the deep inelastic structure functions in the non singlet sector. Additional constraints at ζ\neq 0 are provided by lattice calculations of the higher moments of generalized parton distributions. We illustrate a met…
We investigate the Generalized Parton Distributions(GPDs) of proton by expressing them in terms of overlaps of light front wave functions (LFWFs) using a simulated model which is able to qualitatively improve the convergence near the end points of $x$. We study the spin non-flip $H(x, ζ, t)$ and spin flip $E(x, ζ, t)$ part of GPDs for the particle conserving $n \rightarrow n$ overlap in the DGLAP region $(ζ<x<1)$. The Fourier transform (FT) of the GPDs w.r.t. to the transverse momentum transfer as well the FT of the GPDs w.r.t. $ζ$ have also been obtained giving the distribution of partons in …
Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) have emerged over the 1990s as a powerful concept and tool to study nucleon structure. They provide nucleon tomography from the correlation between transverse position and longitudinal momentum of partons. The Double Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DDVCS) process consists of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) process with a virtual photon in the final state eventually generating a lepton pair, which can be either an electron-positron or a muon-antimuon pair. The virtuality of the final time-like photon can be measured and varied, thus provid…
We propose new parameterizations for the border and skewness functions appearing in the description of 3D nucleon structure in the language of Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs). These parameterizations are constructed in a way to fulfill the basic properties of GPDs, like their reduction to Parton Density Functions and Elastic Form Factors. They also rely on the power behavior of GPDs in the $x \to 1$ limit and the propounded analyticity property of Mellin moments of GPDs. We evaluate Compton Form Factors (CFFs), the sub-amplitudes of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) process,…
We present a study of the chiral-odd generalized parton distributions for $u$ and $d$ quarks in a proton using the light front wave functions of the scalar quark-diquark model for nucleon constructed from the soft-wall AdS/QCD correspondence. We obtain the GPDs in terms of overlaps of the LFWFs. Numerical results for chiral-odd GPDs in momentum as well as transverse position spaces considering both zero and nonzero skewness($ζ$) are presented. For nonzero skewness, the GPDs are also evaluated in longitudinal position space.
We present the polynomiality sum rules for all leading-twist quark and gluon generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of spin-1 targets such as the deuteron nucleus. The sum rules connect the Mellin moments of these GPDs to polynomials in skewness parameter $ξ$, which contain generalized form factors (GFFs) as their coefficients. The decompositions of local currents in terms of generalized form factors for spin-1 targets are obtained as a byproduct of this derivation.

We present a study of the generalized parton distributions for the quarks in a proton in both momentum and position spaces using the light-front wave functions of a quark-diquark model for the nucleon predicted by the soft-wall model of AdS/QCD. The results are compared with the soft-wall AdS/QCD model of proton GPDs for zero skewness. We also calculate the GPDs for nonzero skewness. We observe that the GPDs have a diffraction pattern in longitudinal position space, as seen before in other models. Then we present a comparitive study of the nucleon charge and anomalous magnetization densities i…
Generalized transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (GTMDs), as mother funtions of transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (TMDs) and generalized parton distributions (GPDs), encode the most general parton structure of hadrons. We calculate four twist-two time reversal odd GTMDs of pion in a scalar spectator model. We study the dependence of GTMDs on the longitudinal momentum fraction $x$ carried by the active quark and the transverse momentum $|\vec k_T|$ for different values of skewness $ξ$ defined as the longitudinal momentum transferred to the proton as well as the to…
Using ideas from Light Front Holography, we discuss the calculation of the nucleon helicity-independent generalized parton distributions of quarks in the zero skewness case.
We present a first calculation of the generalized parton distributions of the photon(both polarized and unpolarized) using overlaps of light-front wave functions at leading order in αand zeroth order in α_s; for non-zero transverse momentum transfer and zero skewness. We present the novel parton content of the photon in transverse position space.
Fourier transform of the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) at zero skewness with respect to the transverse momentum transfer gives the distribution of partons in the impact parameter space. We investigate the GPDs as well as the impact parameter dependent parton distributions (ipdpdfs) by expressing them in terms of overlaps of light front wave functions (LFWFs) and present a comparative study using three different model LFWFs.
We present a calculation of the generalized parton distributions of the photon when there is non-zero momentum transfer both in the transverse and longitudinal directions. We consider only the contributions when the photon helicity is not flipped and calculate those at leading order in electromagnetic coupling $α$ and zeroth order in the strong coupling $α_s$. We keep the leading logarithmic terms as well as the quark mass terms in the vertex. By taking Fourier transforms of the GPDs with respect to the transverse and longitudinal momentum transfer, we obtain the parton distributions of the ph…
We study generalized parton distributions in the impact parameter representation, including the case of nonzero skewness xi. Using Lorentz invariance, and expressing parton distributions in terms of impact parameter dependent wave functions, we investigate in which way they simultaneously describe longitudinal and transverse structure of a fast moving hadron. We compare this information with the one in elastic form factors, in ordinary and in k_T dependent parton distributions.
We report on a calculation of the chiral odd generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for non-zero skewness $ζ$ in transverse and longitudinal position spaces by taking Fourier transform with respect to the transverse and longitudinal momentum transfer respectively using overlaps of light-front wave functions (LFWFs).
We use a matching procedure of sum rules relating the electromagnetic form factors to generalized parton distributions (GPDs) and AdS modes. In this way, in the framework of an AdS/QCD hard-wall model, the helicity-independent GPDs of quarks for the nucleon in the zero skewness case are calculated.
We show that Mellin moments of generalized parton distributions, given as even polynomials in the skewness parameter, are obtained from the Taylor expansion of light front wave functions. Furthermore, we derive non-standard versions of the inverse Radon transform to obtain the double distribution from the parton number conserved light front wave function overlap. These transformations are utilized to extend a generalized parton distribution from the outer region to the central one. We exemplify the formalism for a light front wave function that arises from an AdS/QCD duality conjecture.
We present the chiral odd generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for non-zero skewness $ζ$ in transverse and longitudinal position spaces by taking Fourier transform with respect to the transverse and longitudinal momentum transfer respectively using overlaps of light-front wave functions (LFWFs) in a simple model. We also present the chiral even GPDs in positon space in a phenomenological model.
We report on the use of Feynman-Hellmann techniques to calculate the off-forward Compton amplitude (OFCA) in lattice QCD. At leading-twist, the Euclidean OFCA is parameterised by the Mellin moments of generalised parton distributions (GPDs). Hence we extract GPD moments for two values of the soft momentum transfer, $t=-1.10, -2.20\;\text{GeV}^2$ and zero-skewness kinematics at an unphysical pion mass of $m_π\approx 470\;\text{MeV}$. This includes the first determination of the $n=4$ moments.
The nucleon helicity-independent generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of quarks are calculated in the zero skewness case, in the framework of the AdS/QCD model. The present approach is based on a matching procedure of sum rules relating the electromagnetic form factors to GPDs and AdS modes.
The Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) of the nucleon are analyzed within the relativistic constituent quark model formulated on the light-front. It is shown that the matrix elements of the plus component of the one-body vector current are plagued by spurious effects related to the dependence on the hyperplane where the nucleon wave function is defined in terms of its constituents. The physical GPDs can be extracted only from the matrix elements of a transverse component of the one-body current. The loss of the polinomiality property is then related to the neglect of the pair creation pro…
