In this paper, we first prove the variational principle for amenable packing topological pressure. Then we obtain an inequality concerning amenable packing pressure for factor maps. Finally, we show that the equality about packing topological pressure of the set of generic points when the system satisfies the almost specification property, or $μ$ is ergodic.
Let $(X,G)$ be a $G$-action topological system, where $G$ is a countable infinite discrete amenable group and $X$ a compact metric space. In this paper we study the upper capacity entropy and packing entropy for systems with weaker version of specification. We prove that the upper capacity always carries full entropy while there is a variational principle for packing entropy of saturated sets.
Packing topological entropy is a dynamical analogy of the packing dimension, which can be viewed as a counterpart of Bowen topological entropy. In the present paper, we will give a systematically study to the packing topological entropy for a continuous $G$-action dynamical system $(X,G)$, where $X$ is a compact metric space and $G$ is a countable discrete amenable group. We first prove a variational principle for amenable packing topological entropy: for any Borel subset $Z$ of $X$, the packing topological entropy of $Z$ equals the supremum of upper local entropy over all Borel probability me…
In this paper we introduce the notion of scale pressure and measure theoretic scale pressure for amenable group actions. A variational principle for amenable group actions is presented. We also describe these quantities by pseudo-orbits. Moreover, we prove that if $G$ is a finitely generated countable discrete amenable group, then the scale pressure of $G$ coincides with the scale pressure of $G$ with respect to pseudo-orbits.
We define the topological pressure for any sub-additive potentials of the countable discrete amenable group action and any given open cover. A local variational principle for the topological pressure is established.
The notion of topological pressure was introduced by Ruell and also he formulated a variational principle for the topological pressure. Pesin and Pitskel introduced a definition of topological on subsets inspired by Hausdorff dimension. In this paper, we considered the topological pressure of a noncompact subset for amenable group actions and showed that under the tempered condition, we get the variational principle for topological pressure.
In this paper, we investigate the relations between various types of topological pressures and different versions of measure-theoretical pressures. We extend Feng- Huang's variational principle for packing entropy to packing pressure and obtain two new variational principles for Pesin-Pitskel and packing pressures respectively. We show that various types of Katok pressures for an ergodic measure with respect to a potential function are equal to the sum of measure-theoretic entropy of this measure and the integral of the potential function. Moreover, we obtain Billingsley type theorem for packi…
The cookie-cutter-like set is defined as the limit set of a sequence of classical cookie-cutter mappings. For this cookie-cutter set it is shown that the topological pressure function exists, and that the fractal dimensions such as the Hausdorff dimension, the packing dimension and the box-counting dimension are all equal to the unique zero $h$ of the pressure function. Moreover, it is shown that the $h$-dimensional Hausdorff measure and the $h$-dimensional packing measure are finite and positive.
Given a countable discrete amenable virtually orderable group $G$ acting by translations on a $G$-subshift $X \subseteq S^G$ and an absolutely summable potential $Φ$, we present a set of conditions to obtain a special integral representation of pressure $P(Φ)$. The approach is based on a Shannon-McMillan-Breiman (SMB) type theorem for Gibbs measures due to Gurevich-Tempelman (2007), and generalizes results from Gamarnik-Katz (2009), Helvik-Lindgren (2014), and Marcus-Pavlov (2015) by extending the setting to other groups besides $\mathbb{Z}^d$, by relaxing the assumptions on $X$ and $Φ$, and b…
In this paper, we introduce topological pressure for continuous actions of countable sofic groups on compact metrizable spaces. This generalizes the classical topological pressure for continuous actions of countable amenable groups on such spaces. We also establish the variational principle for topological pressure in this sofic context.

We investigate the thermodynamic formalism for recurrent potentials on group extensions of countable Markov shifts. Our main result characterises recurrent potentials depending only on the base space, in terms of the existence of a conservative product measure and a homomorphism from the group into the multiplicative group of real numbers. We deduce that, for a recurrent potential depending only on the base space, the group is necessarily amenable. Moreover, we give equivalent conditions for the base pressure and the skew product pressure to coincide. Finally, we apply our results to analyse t…
We prove that for random affine code tree fractals the affinity dimension is almost surely equal to the unique zero of the pressure function. As a consequence, we show that the Hausdorff, packing and box counting dimensions of such systems are equal to the zero of the pressure. In particular, we do not presume the validity of the Falconer-Sloan condition or any other additional assumptions which have been essential in all the previously known results.
We formulate and prove a very general relative version of the Dobrushin-Lanford-Ruelle theorem which gives conditions on constraints of configuration spaces over a finite alphabet such that for every absolutely summable relative interaction, every translation-invariant relative Gibbs measure is a relative equilibrium measure and vice versa. Neither implication is true without some assumption on the space of configurations. We note that the usual finite type condition can be relaxed to a much more general class of constraints. By "relative" we mean that both the interaction and the set of allow…
