The MEG II experiment at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland aims to achieve a sensitivity of $6\times10^{-14}$ on the charged lepton flavor violating decay $μ^+\to e^+γ$. The current upper limit on this decay is $4.2\times10^{-13}$ at 90% Confidence Level (CL), set by the first phase of MEG. This result was achieved using the PSI muon beam at a reduced intensity, $3\times10^7~μ^+/$s, to keep the background at a manageable level. The upgraded detectors in MEG~II can cope with a higher intensity, thus the experiment is expected to run at a $7\times10^7~μ^+/$s intensity. The new low mass, single volume, high granularity tracker, together with a new highly segmented timing counter, guarantees better resolutions for the positron detection. Moreover, the replacement of the old PhotoMultiplier Tubes (PMTs) with Multi-Pixel Photon Counters (MPPCs) in the inner face of the liquid xenon photon detector improved its performance. The details of the upgraded detectors and their present status will be discussed, together with the latest results from last year's pre-engineering run and the perspective for the 2021 run, the first with all the detectors and electronics installed.
The MEG II experiment searches for the Charged Lepton Flavour Violating (CLFV) decay $μ\rightarrow e γ$. This decay is foreseen by the Standard Model (SM) of Particle Physics at non observable rates through neutrino oscillation. Observing it would be a clear signal of new physics (e.g. SUSY-GUT). After publishing the current upper limit to the Branching Ratio (BR) of this decay in 2016, BR($μ^+\rightarrow e^+ γ)<4.2\times10^{-13}$, the MEG experiment started the upgrade of its detector in order to increase the sensitivity by a factor 10, starting the MEG II phase. The aim of this work is to re…
Within the Standard Model, in spite of neutrino oscillations, the flavor of charged leptons is conserved in very good approximation, and therefore charged Lepton Flavor Violation is expected to be unobservable. On the other hand, most new physics models predict charged Lepton Flavor Violation within the experimental reach, and processes like the $μ\to e γ$ decay became standard probes for physics beyond the Standard model. The MEG experiment, at the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland), searches for the $μ\to e γ$ decay, down to a Branching Ratio of about $5 \times 10^{-13}$, exploiting the m…
In this paper the status and prospects for BESIII is presented. The BEPCII machine is in good status and recently reached its highest luminosity of 7.08*10^32cm^-2s^-1. The BESIII detectors have been running stably since 2009. Upgrade plans for its sub-detectors have been proposed and the upgrade is undergoing. The major upgrade comes from the drift chamber and the time of of flight counter. The other sub-detectors show good status and no upgrade are needed. Given the current status and upgrade plan of the BESIII detectors, it's foreseen that the BESIII is able to work for 8 to 10 years from no…

The GERDA experiment is designed to search for neutrinoless double beta decay of 76Ge using HPGe detectors directly immersed into liquid argon. In its first phase the GERDA experiment has yielded a half life limit on this decay of T_1/2 > 2.1*10^25 yr. A background model has been developed. It explains the measured spectrum well, taking into account only components with distances to the detectors less then 2 cm. Competitive limits on Majoron accompanied double beta decay have been derived. Phase II of the experiment, now with additional liquid argon veto installed, is presently starting its co…

After a brief introduction to the physics motivation, we discuss the status of the JUNO project, including the design of the detector sy…
The JSNS$^2$ experiment aims to search for the existence of neutrino oscillations with $Δ{\rm m}^2$ near 1 eV$^2$ at the J-PARC Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF). A 3~GeV 1~MW proton beam incident on a mercury target produces an intense neutrino source from muon decay at rest ($μ^{+} \rightarrow e^{+} + \barν_μ + ν_{e}$). The oscillation to be searched for is $\barν_μ$ to $\barν_{e}$, detected via the inverse beta decay~(IBD) reaction ($\barν_{e} + p \rightarrow e^{+} + n$), which is then distinctively tagged by gammas from neutron capture of Gadolinium. The first of two d…

The evidence for neutrino oscillations will be presented, along with the prospects for further refinement of observations in each of the indicated regions of two-flavor oscillation parameter space. The next steps in oscillation physics will then be covered (under the assumption of three-flavor mixing): the quest for $θ_{13}$, mass hierarchy and, eventually, leptonic CP violation. Prospects for non-oscillation aspects of neutrino physics…

Reactor neutrinos have been an intense field of investigation for the last decade. Two anomalies are discussed in this document. First, a status of the sterile neutrino searches by STEREO, PROSPECT and DANSS is presented. The best-fit parameters of active-to-sterile oscillations from the Reactor Antineutrino Anomaly are strongly rejected by these experiments. Second, the analyses of the shape anomaly ("5 MeV bump") by STEREO and PROSPECT, both using a virtually pure-$^{235}$U neutrino flux, are detailed. Results show a significant excess of events at 5-6 MeV and indicate that the bump observed…

The E989 Muon $g-2$ Experiment at Fermilab aims to measure the muon magnetic anomaly, $a_μ$, to an unprecedented precision of 140 parts per billion (ppb), representing a four-fold improvement over the current best measurement, achieved at Brookhaven National Lab. There stands a greater than 3 standard deviations discrepancy between the Brookhaven measurement of $a_μ$ and the theoretical value predicted using the Standard Model. The Fermilab experiment seeks to either resolve or confirm this discrepancy, which is suggestive of new physics interactions. To achieve the E989 target precision, the …

The search for neutrinoless double beta ($0νββ$) decay is the best way to test lepton number violation and Majorana nature of neutrinos. One of the most promising techniques to discover $0νββ$ decay is by operating High-Purity Ge detectors enriched in $^{76}$Ge. The current generation of $^{76}$Ge experiments, GERDA and MAJORANA, lead the field in the achieved energy resolution and ultra-low background. These are two of the most important characteristics for sensitive searches of this undiscovered decay. The next generation of $0νββ$ decay experiments requires more mass and further reduction o…
Here we present the latest results of the charged Lepton Flavor Violation process searches at the BESIII experiment in the decay of $J/ψ$ to $eμ$, using $(225.3\pm2.8)\times10^6$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An upper limit on the branching fraction of $B(J/ψ\rightarrow eμ)<1.6\times10^{-7}$ (90$\%$ C.L.) is obtained. The prospects and challenges with the future data are also discussed based on MC simulation.
New generation of three reactor neutrino experiments have made definitive measurements of the smallest neutrino mixing angle theta13 in 2012, based on the disappearance of electron antineutrinos. More precise measurements of the mixing angle have been made as well as the squared mass difference between electron neutrinos. A rather large value of theta13 has opened a new window to find the CP violation phase and to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy. Future reactor experiments, JUNO and RENO50, are proposed to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy and to make highly precise measurements of t…

At the present the understanding of the detector performances is rather high so many analysis are already underway.
The analysis of quantum-correlated $D-\bar{D}$ decays produced at the $ψ(3770)$ resonance gives unique insight into quantities such as strong-phase differences and coherence factors. Knowledge of these parameters is invaluable for measurements of the CKM-angle $γ$ ($ϕ_3$) in $B \to DK$ decays. Results from CLEO-c analyses performed at the $ψ(3770)$ resonance in a variety of decay channels are reported, and their consequences for the determination of $γ$ is assessed. Future prospects are given for extensions to the present studies.

{Since the start of the Large Hadron Collider program, direct searches for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) particles have constrained their mass scale to limits which are now above the energy reach of the current collider. As a result, studies of indirect probes of BSM physics have gained a considerable momentum, both experimentally and theoretically. The flavour anomalies in $b$ hadron decays are now recognized as an important laboratory for the indirect detection of BSM physics. This short review presents several key analyses in this area, and some prospects with future data.

Searches for Beyond the Standard Model Higgs processes in the context of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model and Next to MSSM are presented. The results are based on the first LHC run of pp collision data recorded by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of about 5 and 20 fb$^{-1}$ respectively. Current searches constrain large parts of the parameter space. No evidence for BSM Higgs is found.
SIMPLE (Superheated Instrument for Massive ParticLE searches) employs superheated droplet detectors (SDDs) to search for Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) dark matter. As a result of the intrinsic SDD insensitivity to minimum ionizing particles and high fluorine content of target liquids, competitive WIMP limits were already obtained at the early prototype stage. We comment here on the expected immediate increase in sensitivity of the program and on future plans to exploit this promising technnique.
