LHCb: Status and Prospects on the $b$ Anomalies

{Since the start of the Large Hadron Collider program, direct searches for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) particles have constrained their mass scale to limits which are now above the energy reach of the current collider. As a result, studies of indirect probes of BSM physics have gained a considerable momentum, both experimentally and theoretically. The flavour anomalies in $b$ hadron decays are now recognized as an important laboratory for the indirect detection of BSM physics. This short review presents several key analyses in this area, and some prospects with future data.

Prospects for Higgs Searches at the Tevatron and LHC in the MSSM with Explicit CP-violation

We analyze the Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) reach for the Higgs sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) in the presence of explicit CP-violation. Using the most recent studies from the Tevatron and LHC collaborations, we examine the CPX benchmark scenario for a range of CP-violating phases in the soft trilinear and gluino mass terms and compute the exclusion/discovery potentials for each collider on the $(M_{H^+}, \tanβ)$ plane. Experimental collaborations for the large hadron collider conducted many and various searches for supersymmetry. In the absence of signals, lower limits were put on sparticle masses but usually within frameworks with (over-) simplifications relative to the entire indications by supersymmetry models. We summarize a discovery potential for supersymmetric particles at the \ppbar collider of Tevatron with center-of-mass energy \sqrt{s} = 2 TeV and integrated luminosity $\intlum$ = 15-30 \invfb. Any direct search is kinematically limited to below 450 \mgev. We, however, have a unique opportunity to test various supersymmetric scenarios by a measurement of the branching ratio for the rare decay mode \bsmumu. At the end of 2008, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will come into operation and the two experiments ATLAS and CMS will start taking data from proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of \sqrt{s}=14 TeV. In preparation for the data taking period, the discovery potential for Higgs bosons beyond the Standard Model has been updated by both experiments and is reviewed here. In addition, the prospects for measuring the properties of a Higgs boson like its mass and width, its CP eigenvalues and its couplings to fermions and gauge bosons are discussed.

Interpreting LHC searches for new physics with SModelS

ATLAS and CMS have performed a large number of searches for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM). The results are typically presented in the context of Simplified Model Spectra (SMS), containing only a few new particles with fixed decay branching ratios, yielding generic upper limits on the cross section as a function of particle masses. Higgs Searches and Prospects from LEP2

The status of the search at LEP2 for the Higgs in the Standard Model (SM) and in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model MSSM) is reviewed. A preliminary lower limit of 95.5/c^2 at 95% C.L. on the SM Higgs is obtained after a preliminary analysis of the data collected at sqrt(s)= 189 GeV. For standard choices of MSSM parameter sets, the search for the neutral Higgs bosons h and A leads to preliminary 95% C.L. exclusion lower limits of 83.5GeV/c^2 and 84.5 GeV/c^2, respectively.

Status of MSSM Higgs Sector using Global Analysis and Direct Search Bounds, and Future Prospects at the HL-LHC

In this paper, we search for the regions of the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric standard model (pMSSM) parameter space where one can expect to have moderate Higgs mixing angle ($α$) with relatively light (up to 600 GeV) additional Higgses after satisfying the current LHC data. We perform a global fit analysis using most updated data (till December 2014) from the LHC and Tevatron experiments. We argue that the present value and accuracy of $M_W$ and $m_t$ measurements tend to favor the MSSM over the SM. By speculating that a precision of the order 40 MeV and 3 GeV respectively for $M_W$ and $m_t$ will be achieved at LEP2 and Tevatron, we show that the prospect for the MSSM will be further enhanced as long as the central values of $M_W$ and $m_t$ do not decrease below the present values. In addition we discuss how this scenario can constrain the Higgs boson mass and distinguish the Higgs boson of the MSSM type from that of the SM.
