I review possible explanations of the muon g-2 anomaly in models with extended Higgs and matter sectors, focusing on extensions of the standard model and the two Higgs doublet model with vectorlike leptons. Predictions of these models, namely the modifications of muon Yukawa and gauge couplings, that can be searched for at the LHC and future colliders, are summarized. I also discuss striking predictions for di-Higgs and tri-Higgs signals at a muon collider that can be tested even at very low energies. Furthermore, I briefly comment on other interesting features and signatures of models with extended Higgs sector and vectorlike matter.
We show that new physics explanations of the muon $g-2$ anomaly by the contributions of new leptons mediated by the standard model Higgs boson necessarily lead to large rates for $μ^+ μ^- \to hh$ and $μ^+ μ^- \to hhh$ irrespectively of details of the model or the scale of new physics. For new leptons with the same quantum numbers as the standard model leptons, cross sections are expected to be about 240 ab for $μ^+ μ^- \to hh$ independently of the center of mass energy, $\sqrt{s}$, and about 2.7 ab for $μ^+ μ^- \to hhh$ for $\sqrt{s} = 1$ TeV and growing quadratically with $\sqrt{s}$. We explore the sensitivity of directly testing the muon-Higgs coupling at a high-energy muon collider. This is strongly motivated if there exists new physics that is not aligned with the Standard Model Yukawa interactions which are responsible for the fermion mass generation. We illustrate a few such examples for physics beyond the Standard Model. With the accidentally small value of the muon Yukawa coupling and its subtle role in the high-energy production of multiple (vector and Higgs) bosons, we show that it is possible to measure the muon-Higgs coupling to an accuracy of ten percent for a …
We study the Higgs boson mass and the muon anomalous magnetic moment (the muon $g-2$) in a supersymmetric standard model with vector-like generations. The infrared physics of the model is governed by strong renormalization-group effects of the gauge couplings. That leads to sizable extra Yukawa couplings of Higgs doublets between the second and vector-like generations in both quark and lepton sectors. It is found with this property that there exist wide parameter regions where the Higgs boson mass and the muon $g-2$ are simultaneously explained.
The discovery of the Higgs particle at 125 GeV is demanding a detailed knowledge of the properties of this fundamental component of the Standard Model. Recently, Kajiyama, Okada and Yagyu (KOY) proposed an electron/muon specific two Higgs doublet model. In this model, an S3 symmetry suppresses flavor changing neutral currents instead of a Z2 symmetry. In the "Type I" version of the model, the heavy Higgs bosons have a greatly enhanced coupling to electrons and muons. KOY studied the phenomenology of the heavy Higgs bosons at the LHC. We consider isosinglet scalar extension of a model with a Higgs democracy - multihiggs extension of the SM where each quark and lepton has its own Higgs isodoublet. The addition of light isosinglet scalar allows to solve both muon $g_μ-2$ anomaly and dark matter problem. Also we point out that an extension of the model with $L_μ - L_τ$ vector interaction allows not only explain muon $g_μ - 2$ anomaly but also dark matter density.

The prediction for the quartic coupling of the SM-like Higgs boson constrains the parameter space of SUSY models, even in scenarios where all of the new-particle masses are above the scale probed so far by the LHC. We study the implications of the Higgs-mass prediction on a recently-proposed SUSY model that features two pairs of Higgs doublets, and provides a solution to the g-2 anomaly thanks to a suitable enhancement of the muon Yukawa coupling.
We investigate a new type of a two-Higgs-doublet model as a solution of the muon $g-2$ anomaly. We impose a softly-broken $Z_4$ symmetry to forbid tree level flavor changing neutral currents in a natural way. This $Z_4$ symmetry restricts the structure of Yukawa couplings. As a result, extra Higgs boson couplings to muons are enhanced by a factor of $\tanβ$, while their couplings to all the other standard model fermions are suppressed by $\cotβ$. We propose a two-Higgs-doublet model in which one Higgs doublet has the same interactions with fermions as the SM, and another Higgs doublet only has the $μ$-$τ$ LFV interactions. The potential of the non-Standard Model heavy Higgs bosons in 2HDM at a muon collider is studied. The pair production of the non-SM Higgs bosons via the universal gauge interactions is the dominant mechanism once above the kinematic threshold. On the other hand, single Higgs boson production associated with a pair of heavy fermions is also important in the parameter region with enhanced Yukawa couplings. We consider a $SU(3)_c \times SU(3)_L \times U(1)_X$ model from a $SU(6)$ Grand Unified Theory (GUT). In order to explain the anomalous magnetic moments of muon and electron, we introduce two new scalar triplets without vacuum expectation values (VEVs) so that the leading contributions to $Δa_μ$ and $Δa_{e}$ can avoid the suppression from small muon mass. In addition, the Higgs potential stability of this 331 model is studied by giving a set of sufficient conditions to ensure the boundedness from below of the potential.
