We study the pair-production of charginos in the CP-violating Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at center-of-mass energies around the heavy neutral Higgs boson resonances. If these resonances are nearly degenerate, as it can happen in the Higgs decoupling limit, radiatively induced scalar-pseudoscalar transitions can be strongly enhanced. The resulting mixing in the Higgs sector leads to large CP-violating effects, and a change of their mass spectrum. For longitudinally polarized muon beams, we analyze CP asymmetries which are sensitive to the interference of the two heavy neutral Higgs bosons. We present a detailed numerical analysis of the cross sections, chargino branching ratios, and the CP observables. We obtain sizable CP-asymmetries, which would be accessible in future measurements at a muon collider. Especially for intermediate values of the parameter \tanβ, where the largest branching ratios of Higgs bosons into charginos are expected, this process allows to analyze the Higgs sector properties and its interaction to supersymmetric fermions.
We examine single chargino production in conjunction with R-parity lepton number violation in future lepton-lepton collisions. Present bounds on R-parity violating couplings allow for a production cross section of the order of ${\cal{O}} (10 {fb})$ for a wide range of sneutrino and chargino masses. Scenarios of chargino decay which lead to purely leptonic signals in the final state and without missing energy are also discussed.
We study chargino pair production on the heavy Higgs resonances at a muon collider in the MSSM. At $\sqrt{s} \approx 350$ GeV cross sections up to 2 pb are reached depending on the supersymmetric scenario and the beam energy spread. The resonances of the scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons may be separated for $\tanβ<8$. Our aim is to determine the ratio of the chargino couplings to the heavy scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs boson independently of the specific chargino decay characteristics. The precision of the measurement depends on the energy resolution of the muon collider and on the error i…
We analyze the prospects at a muon collider for measuring chargino masses in the $μ^+μ^-\to \tildeχ^+\tildeχ^-$ process in the threshold region. We find that for the lighter chargino of a mass $100-200$ GeV, a measurement better than $50-300$ MeV should be possible with 50 fb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. The accuracy obtained here is better than with other techniques or at other facilities. The muon sneutrino mass, which enters through the $\tildeν_μ$ exchange diagram, can also be simultaneously measured to a few GeV if it is not too heavy.
We present a study of charged lepton mass matrix diagonalization in R-parity violating SUSY. The case in which the bilinear couplings $μ_i$ have large values is given special attention.
In most supersymmetric theories, charginos $\tildeχ^\pm_{1,2}$ belong to the class of the lightest supersymmetric particles and the couplings of Higgs bosons to charginos are in general complex so that the CP--violating chargino contributions to the loop--induced coupling of the lightest Higgs boson to photon pairs can be sizable even in the decoupling limit of large pseudoscalar mass $m_A$ with only the lightest Higgs boson kinematically accessible at future high energy colliders. We introduce a specific benchmark scenario of CP violation consistent with the electric dipole moment constraints…
Supersymmetric models with R-parity violation (RPV) have become more popular following the lack of any excess of missing energy events at the 8 TeV LHC. To identify such models, the suggested searches generally rely on the decay products of the (effectively) lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP), with signals that depend on the identity of the LSP and the relevant RPV operators. Here we look at the prospects for detecting RPV chargino decays at the LHC and find substantial patches of parameter space in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with possibly spectacular signatures, such as thr…
We study chargino pair production at LEP II in supersymmetric models with spontaneously broken R-parity. We perform signal and background analyses, showing that a large region of the parameter space of these models can be probed through chargino searches at LEP II. In particular, we determine the attainable limits on the chargino mass as a function of the magnitude of the effective bilinear R-parity violation parameter $ε$, demonstrating that LEP II is able to unravel the existence of charginos with masses almost up to its kinematical limit even in the case of R-parity violation. This requires…
We study the pair production of charginos in e+e- collisions followed by the decay via R-parity violating LQD operators. We determine the complete matrix element squared for chargino decays via LQD or LLE operators. We find regions in MSSM parameter space where the chargino mass is 52.5GeV and the R-parity violating decays of the charginos dominate the gauge decays to neutralinos. At LEP2 this then leads to additional 4 jet events which could explain the excess recently observed by ALEPH.
We present an on-shell renormalization scheme for the neutralino and chargino mass matrices for two R-parity violating models, namely bilinear R-parity violation and the munuSSM with one right-handed neutrino superfield. We discuss in both models how to obtain neutrino masses and mixing angles correctly as well as differences to the existing DRbar calculations. Both models predict correlations between neutrino mixing angles and ratios of R-parity violating decays such as neutralino_1 -> l W which can be tested for example at the LHC. We point out that there are cases where one has to include t…
As the fundamental SU(2) supersymmetric parameters can be determined in the chargino sector, and the remaining fundamental parameters of the minimal supersymmetric extensions of the standard model can be analyzed in the neutralino sector, the two sectors can be correlated via these parameters. We have shown that for the CP conserving case, the masses of all the neutralinos can be determined in terms of the chargino masses, and $\tanβ$. In this case the neutralino masses are quite insensitive to the variations of $\tanβ$; they change by about $%15$ when $\tanβ$ varies in the range from 5 to 50.…
In the MSSM with complex parameters, loop corrections to the decay of a stop into a bottom quark and a chargino can lead to a CP violating decay rate asymmetry. We calculate this asymmetry at full one-loop level and perform a detailed numerical study, analyzing the dependence on the parameters and complex phases involved. In addition, we take the Yukawa couplings of the top and bottom quark running. We account for the constraints on the parameters coming from several experimental limits. Asymmetries of several percent are obtained. We also comment on the feasibility of measuring this asymmetry…
If the stop can decay into a gluino, the self-energy and the vertex correction dominate due to the strong coupling. It is shown that the vertex contribution is always suppressed. We therefore give a simple approximate formula for the asymmetry. We account for the constraints …
We analyze the prospects at a muon collider for measuring chargino masses in the $μ^+μ^-\to \tildeχ^+\tildeχ^-$ processes in the threshold region. We find that a measurement of the lightest chargino mass to better than 200 MeV is possible with 100~fb$^{-1}$ luminosity. The muon sneutrino mass can also be simultaneously measured to a few GeV.
In the MSSM with complex parameters, loop corrections to $\cha_i^\pm \to \neu_j^0 W^\pm$ lead to a CP violating asymmetry $\ACP = (Γ(\cha_i^+ \to \neu_j^0 W^+) - Γ(\cha_i^- \to \neu_j^0 W^-))/ (Γ(\cha_i^+ \to \neu_j^0 W^+) + Γ(\cha_i^- \to \neu_j^0 W^-))$. We calculate this asymmetry at full one-loop level. We perform a detailed numerical analysis for $\cha_1^\pm \to \neu_1^0 W^\pm$ and $\cha_2^\pm \to \neu_1^0 W^\pm$ analyzing the dependence on the parameters and phases involved. Asymmetries of several percent are obtained. We also discuss the feasability of measuring these asymmtries at LHC.
Non-universal gaugino mass models can naturally account for the dark matter relic density via the bulk annihilation process with relatively light bino LSP and right sleptons in the mass range of ~ 100 GeV, while accommodating the observed Higgs boson mass of ~ 125 GeV with TeV scale squark/gluino masses. A class of these models can also account for the observed muon g-2 anomaly via SUSY loops with wino and left sleptons in the mass range of 400 -- 700 GeV. These models can be tested at LHC via electroweak production of charged and neutral wino pair, leading to robust trilepton and same sign di…
In view of the recent measurement of the muon g-2 and finalization of the LEP electroweak data, we re-examine all the new particle contributions to those observables in the MSSM. The SM fits the latest electroweak data excellently with the observed top-quark mass and the Higgs-boson mass of around 100 GeV, and so does the MSSM in the decoupling limit. The MSSM gives a slightly better fit to the data than the SM (Δχ^2_{min} \sim -2) when relatively light left-handed sleptons of mass \sim 200 GeV and a light chargino of mixed higgsino-wino character (μ/M_2 \sim 1) with mass \sim 100 GeV co-exist…
We study chargino production at a muon collider with longitudinally polarized beams and center of mass energies around the heavy neutral Higgs boson resonances. We show that the interference of the CP even and CP odd Higgs bosons can be analyzed using the energy distributions of the lepton or W boson from the chargino two-body decays \tildeχ^\pm_j\to\ell^\mp\tildeν_\ell or \tildeχ^\pm_j \to W^\pm \neutralino_1, respectively. The energy distributions depend on the longitudinal polarization of the decaying chargino, which are correlated to the muon beam polarizations. We define asymmetries in th…
We analyze the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon $g-2$ in the $μν$SSM. This $R$-parity violating model solves the $μ$ problem reproducing simultaneously neutrino data, only with the addition of right-handed neutrinos. In the framework of the $μν$SSM, light left muon-sneutrino and wino masses can be naturally obtained driven by neutrino physics. This produces an increase of the dominant chargino-sneutrino loop contribution to muon $g-2$, solving the gap between the theoretical computation and the experimental data. To analyze the parameter space, we sample the $μν$SSM using a likelihood dat…
The chargino pair production processes at $e^+e^-$ collisions are explored to reconstruct the fundamental SUSY parameters: the SU(2) gaugino parameter $M_2$, the higgsino mass parameter $μ$ and $\tanβ$. Both CP-conserving and CP-violating SUSY sectors are discussed.
We review the influence of lepton flavour violation (LFV) on the production processes e+e- -> ~chi+_i ~chi-_j at the International Linear Collider (ILC) with longitudinal e+ and e- beam polarizations in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The t-channel sneutrino exchange contribution to the processes e+e- -> ~chi+_i ~chi-_j is modified in the case of LFV, as the sneutrino mass eigenstates have no definite flavour, and therefore more than one sneutrino can contribute. This influence can alter the cross section sigma(e+e- -> ~chi+_1 ~chi-_1) by a factor of 2 or mor…
Supersymmetric (SUSY) explanation of the discrepancy between the measurement of $(g-2)_μ$ and its SM prediction puts strong upper bounds on the chargino and smuon masses. At the same time, lower experimental limits on the chargino and smuon masses, combined with the Higgs mass measurement, lead to an upper bound on the stop masses. The current LHC limits on the chargino and smuon masses (for not too compressed spectrum) set the upper bound on the stop masses of about 10 TeV. The discovery potential of the future lepton and hadron colliders should lead to the discovery of SUSY if it is responsi…
The $R$-parity violating decays of both Wino chargino and Wino neutralino LSPs are analyzed within the context of the $B-L$ MSSM "heterotic standard model". These LSPs correspond to statistically determined initial soft supersymmetry breaking parameters which, when evolved using the renormalization group equations, lead to an effective theory satisfying all phenomenological requirements; including the observed electroweak vector boson and Higgs masses. The explicit decay channels of these LSPs into standard model particles, the analytic and numerical decay rates and the associated branching ra…
Inspired by the latest measurement of muon g-2 by the Fermilab Experiment, we revisit a class of supersymmetric models in which non-universality at M_GUT allows us to realize relatively light sleptons in the few hundred GeV range. These sleptons provide additional contributions to muon g-2 that can be arranged to reconcile theory and experiment. The solutions compatible with the muon g-2 resolution typically predict light sleptons, charginos and neutralinos. We show how these solutions can be probed during LHC-Run3. A direct impact on the chargino mass is observed such that the chargino can be…
Supersymmetric models with sub-TeV charginos and sleptons have been a candidate for the origin of the long-standing discrepancy in the muon anomalous magnetic moment (g-2). By gathering all the available LHC Run 2 results, we investigate the latest LHC constraints on models that explain the anomaly by their chargino contribution to the muon g-2. It is shown that the parameter regions where sleptons are lighter than charginos are strongly disfavored. In contrast, we find that the models with $m_{\tildeμ_{\mathrm L}}\gtrsim m_{{\tildeχ}^{\pm}_1}$ are still widely allowed, where the lighter charg…
We present the analysis of CP-violating effects in non-diagonal chargino pair production in e+e- collisions. These effects appear only at the one-loop level. We show that CP-odd asymmetries in chargino production are sensitive to the phases of mu and A_t parameters and can be of the order of a few %.
The contribution of the charged right-handed higgsino fields to the chargino mass spectrum in the context of the Left-Right Supersymmetric Model is studied. Analytical expressions for the chargino masses assuming arbitrary CP-violating phases are given. Also, the corresponding inverse parameter problem is studied. Analytical disentangling of some relevant parameters is presented. A general inversion algorithm, based on suitable measurement of cross-section type observables associated to chargino pair production in electron positron annihilation, is proposed.
The $B-L$ MSSM is the MSSM with three right-handed neutrino chiral multiplets and gauged $B-L$ symmetry. The $B-L$ symmetry is broken by the third family right-handed sneutrino acquiring a VEV, thus spontaneously breaking $R$-parity. Within a natural range of soft supersymmetry breaking parameters, it is shown that a large and uncorrelated number of initial values satisfy all present phenomenological constraints; including the correct masses for the $W^{\pm}$, $Z^0$ bosons, having all sparticles exceeding their present lower bounds and giving the experimentally measured value for the Higgs bos…
We study the impact of present and future $(g-2)_μ$ measurements on supersymmetric models. The corrections to $(g-2)_μ$ become particularly relevant in the presence of light sleptons, charginos and neutralinos, especially in the large $\tanβ$ regime. For moderate or large values of $\tanβ$, it is possible to rule out scenarios in which charginos and sneutrinos are both light, but nevertheless escape detection at the LEP2 collider. Furthermore, models in which supersymmetry breaking is transferred to the observable sector through gauge interactions can be efficiently constrained by the $(g-2)_μ…
In bilinear R-Parity violating models where a term ε_3L_3H_2 is introduced in the superpotential, the tau lepton can mix with charginos. We show that this mixing is fully compatible with LEP1 precision measurements of the Zττand Wτν_τcouplings even for large values of ε_3 and of the induced vacuum expectation value v_3 of the tau-sneutrino. The single production of charginos at e+e- colliders is possible in this case and we present numerical values of the cross-section at LEP1, LEP2 and an NLC. We find maximum values of 10 pb at LEP1 and 1 fb at NLC, while the corresponding values at LEP2 are …
We study single superparticle productions at the linear collider, putting particular emphasis on resonant processes. We find that there exists a wide region of model parameters where single chargino and neutralino productions dominate over R-violating fermion-antifermion final states. For certain values of mu and M_2 it is possible to produce even the heavier charginos and neutralinos at significant rates, amplifying the total cross section and obtaining interesting chains of cascade decays. Effects from initial-state radiation are also included.
The CP-violating effects in the neutralino sector of the MSSM can be observed in event-counting type experiments, i.e. without the need of exploiting variables sensitive to beam or neutralino polarization. On the other hand, such CP-odd effects in the chargino sector can be generated only at the loop level. We contrast the two sectors and present results of full one-loop analysis of the CP-odd asymmetry in the non-diagonal chargino pair production in e+e- collisions.
We analyze the chargino contributions to the CP violating ratio $ε^{\prime}/ε$ in the left-right supersymmetric model. We study the possibility that these contributions alone can saturate the experimental value of $ε^{\prime}/ε$. We derive conservative bounds on supersymmetric flavor violation parameters in the up squark LL, RR, LR and RL sectors, using the mass insertion approximation. While the LL bounds are found to be consistent with the MSSM values, the LR constraints are new and much stronger.
We revisit the current LHC constraints on the electroweak-ino sector parameters in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) that are relevant to explaining the $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly via the dominant chargino and muon sneutrino loop. Since the LHC bounds on electroweak-inos become weaker if they decay via an intermediate stau or a tau sneutrino instead of the first two generation sleptons, we perform a detailed analysis of the scenario with a bino as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) and a light stau as the next-to-lightest one (NLSP). Even in this scenario, the chargino sector par…
We present the detailed analytical and numerical investigations of the one-loop radiative corrections of all quarks and squarks in the MSSM to the lightest chargino pair production via $γγ$ fusion at the future NLC. The numerical corrections show that the cross sections of the subprocess and the parent process are typically enhanced by several percent. We studied also the effects induced by the CP violating complex phases stemming from squark and chargino mass matrices in the MSSM at one-loop level.
$T$--violating asymmetry in chargino pair production processes is studied in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. The asymmetry emerges at the tree level in the production of two different charginos, and could be as large as of order $10^{-2}$ in unpolarized electron beam experiments and $10^{-1}$ in polarized electron beam experiments. In the pair production of the same charginos, the asymmetry emerges through the electric and the weak "electric" dipole moments of the charginos at the loop level. Its magnitude is of order $10^{-4}$. The consistency with the electric dipole moments of the…
Analytical expressions relating the fundamental parameters describing the chargino sector in the context of the Left-Right Supersymmetric model are constructed. A general complex extension of the real non-symmetric chargino mass matrix including all possible CP-violating phases is considered. The method used for such a effects is the projector formalism based on the explicit knowledge of two unitary matrices diagonalizing the chargino mass matrix. Some possible scenarios allowing us to extract analytical and numerical values for the unknown parameters are considered. Moreover, an algorithm all…
The supersymmetric contribution to the muon g-2 is studied in light of the finalization of the LEP electroweak precision data. The recent precise measurement of the muon g-2 of E821 experiment is explained well by the relatively light chargino and sleptons. We find that such the MSSM parameter space is also favored from the electroweak precision data, in which the fit to the data is better than that of the SM (Δχ^2_{min} \sim -2), if the lighter chargino has a mixed higgsino-wino character (μ/M_2 \sim 1). The models with light gauginos (μ/M_2 > 10) or light higgsinos (μ/M_2 < 0.1) also show th…
We consider low-energy CPT-violating modifications in charged current weak interactions and analyze possible ramifications in muon and antimuon decays. We calculate the lifetime of muon and antimuon with these modifications, and from the result, put bounds on the CPT-violating parameters. Moreover, we elaborate on the muon and antimuon decay rate differentials in electron energy and spatial angle, which entail interesting phenomenological consequences presenting new ways to constrain CPT violation in charged lepton decays.
We study the one-loop effects of charginos and neutralinos on the helicity amplitudes for $\eeww$ in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. The calculation is tested by using two methods. First, the sum rule for the form factors between $\eeww$ and the process where the external $W^\pm$ bosons are replaced by the corresponding Goldstone bosons $ω^\pm$ is employed to test the analytic expression and the accuracy of the numerical program. Second, the decoupling property in the large mass limit is used to test the overall normalization of the amplitudes. These two tests are most effectively c…
In the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with complex parameters, supersymmetric loop effects can lead to \emph{CP} violation. We calculate the rate asymmetries of decays of charginos into the lightest neutralino and a $W$ boson on the basis of the most important loop contributions in the third generation squark sectors. It turns out that the \emph{CP} violating asymmetries can be a few per cent in typical regions of the parameter space of the MSSM. These processes would provide very promising channels for probing \emph{CP} violation in the MSSM at future high-energy colliders.
We study the CP-violating terms of the spin-spin correlations in chargino production e+e- -> chi^+/-_1 chi^-/+_2, and their subsequent two-body decays into sneutrinos plus leptons. We propose novel CP-sensitive observables with the help of T-odd products of the spin-spin terms. These terms depend on the polarizations of both charginos, with one polarization perpendicular to the production plane. We identify two classes of CP-sensitive observables; one requires the reconstruction of the production plane, the other not. Our framework is the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex para…
The production of the lightest chargino pair from gluon-gluon fusion is studied in the minimal supersymmetric model(MSSM) at proton-proton colliders. We find that with the chosen parameters, the production rate of the subprocess can be over 2.7 femto barn when the chargino is higgsino-like, and the corresponding total cross section in proton-proton collider can reach 56 femto barn at the LHC in the CP-conserving MSSM. It shows that this loop mediated subprocess can be competitive with the standard Drell-Yan subprocess in proton-proton colliders, especially at the LHC. Furthermore, our calculat…
We study the single production of scalar neutrinos or charginos via $γγ$ collision in an R-parity ($R_{p}$) violating supersymmetric model. It may be possible to detect a sneutrino or a chargino at a Linear Collider (LC) in $γγ$ operation mode, as a test of supersymmetry and $R_p$-violation. Because of the clean background in LC, stringent constraints on $R_p$ violating parameters can be obtained even if the process cannot be observed at the future Linear Collider.
We study one-loop effects of charginos and neutralinos on the helicity amplitudes for the process $e^+e^-\to W^+W^-$ in the MSSM. The calculation is tested by using two methods. First, the sum rules among form factors which result from BRS invariance. Second, the decoupling property in the large mass limit is used to test the overall normalization of the amplitudes. The one-loop contribution to the helicity amplitudes is shown as a function of $μ$ Higgs parameter and $\sqrt{s}$. We also study the effects of the CP-violating phase.
Decays into neutralinos and charginos are among the most accessible supersymmetric decay modes of Higgs particles in most supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model. In the presence of explicitly CP--violating phases in the soft breaking sector of the theory, the couplings of Higgs bosons to charginos and neutralinos are in general complex. Based on a specific benchmark scenario of CP violation, we analyze the phenomenological impact of explicit CP violation in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model on these Higgs boson decays. The presence of CP--violating phases could be confirmed ei…
We study the T violating transverse muon polarization in the decay of $K^+\to μ^+νγ$ due to CP violation in theories beyond the standard model. We find that the polarization asymmetry could be large in some CP violation models and it may be detectable at the ongoing KEK experiment of E246 as well as the proposed BNL experiment.
One loop contributions to the Higgs boson masses and mixings from the chargino sector consisting of the chargino, the W, and the charged Higgs boson ($χ^+-W-H^+$) exchanges and including the effects of large CP violating phases are computed. It is found that the chargino sector makes a large contribution to the mixings of the CP even and the CP odd Higgs sectors through the induced one loop effects and may even dominate the mixing generated by the stop and the sbottom sectors. Effects of the chargino sector contribution to the Higgs boson masses are also computed. It is found that the sum of t…
We present a model where neutrino masses are generated by a combination of spontaneous R-parity violation and Type III seesaw. In addition to the usual MSSM particle content, our model consists of one extra triplet matter chiral superfield containing heavy SU(2) triplet fermions and its superpartners. R-parity is broken spontaneously when the sneutrinos associated with the one heavy neutrino as well as the three light neutrinos get vacuum expectation values, giving rise to the mixed $8\times 8$ neutralino-neutrino mass matrix. We show that our model can comfortably explain all the existing neu…
The chargino $\tildeχ^\pm_{1,2}$ system can be reconstructed completely in $e^+e^-$ collisions. By measuring the total cross sections and the asymmetries with polarized beams in $e^+e^-\to\tildeχ_i^+ \tildeχ_j^- [i,j=1,2]$, the chargino masses and the gaugino-higgsino mixing angles of these states can be determined very accurately. If only the lightest charginos $\tildeχ_1^\pm$ are kinematically accessible, transverse beam polarization is needed to determine the mixing angles unambiguously. From these observables the fundamental SUSY parameters can be derived: the SU(2) gaugino mass $M_2$, the…
We study the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment in supersymmetric theories. The impact of the recent Brookhaven E821 experimental measurement on both model-independent and model-dependent supersymmetric parameter spaces is discussed in detail. We find that values of tanβas low as 3 can be obtained while remaining within the E821 one-sigma bound. This requires a light smuon; however, we show that, somewhat surprisingly, no model-independent bound can be placed on the mass of the lightest chargino for any tanβgreater than or equal to 3. We also show that the maximum contributions to the anoma…
Bilinear R-parity violating supersymmetric model is a viable model which can explain the smallness of neutrino masses and the mixing pattern in the lepton sector. In this model, there is a common set of parameters which determine the neutralino and chargino masses, also determine the neutrino masses and the anomalous magnetic moment of muon, $(g-2)_μ$. From the experimental data on neutrino masses and mixing angles, and also from the fact that the experimentally measured value of $(g-2)_μ$ differs from the corresponding standard model value by 3$σ$, we have analyzed some constraints on these m…
We study the single chargino production $e^+ e^- \to \tilde χ^{\pm} μ^{\mp}$ at linear colliders which occurs through the $ł_{121}$ R-parity violating coupling constant. We focus on the final state containing 4 leptons and some missing energy. The largest background is \susyq and can be reduced using the initial beam polarization and some cuts based on the specific kinematics of the single chargino production. Assuming the highest allowed supersymmetric background, a center of mass energy of $\sqrt s=500GeV$ and a luminosity of ${\cal L}=500fb^{-1}$, the sensitivities on the $ł_{121}$ coupling…
Neutrino oscillation signals at muon storage rings can be faked by supersymmetric (SUSY) interactions in an R-parity violating scenario. We investigate the $τ$-appearance signals for both long-baseline and near-site experiments, and conclude that the latter is of great use in distinguishing between oscillation and SUSY effects. On the other hand, SUSY can cause a manifold increase in the event rate for wrong-sign muons at a long-baseline setting, thereby providing us with signatures of new physics.
SUSY searches at the LHC as well as the 126 GeV Higgs boson indicate that superparticles, especially squarks and gluinos, are not so light as we expected. It is important to investigate SUSY searches which do not rely on the colored superparticles. As a clue for the investigation, we focus on the muon g-2 anomaly, which can be explained by the SUSY contributions if some of neutralinos, charginos, and sleptons are as light as of order 100 GeV. We propose the muon-(g-2)-motivated MSSM as a benchmark model, where squarks are decoupled but the superparticles corresponding to the muon g-2 are light…
We derive transport equations for fermionic systems with a space-time dependent mass matrix in flavor space allowing for complex elements leading to CP violation required for electroweak baryogenesis. By constructing appropriate projectors in flavor space of the relevant tree level Kadanoff-Baym equations, we split the constraint equations into "diagonal" and "transversal" parts in flavor space, and show that they decouple. While the diagonal densities exhibit standard dispersion relations at leading order in gradients, the transverse densities exhibit a novel on-shell structure. Next, the kin…
In most supersymmetric theories charginos, $\tildeχ^\pm_{1,2}$, belong to the class of the lightest supersymmetric particles. The chargino system can be reconstructed completely in $e^+e^-$ collider experiments: $e^+e^-\to\tildeχ_i^+ \tildeχ_j^- [i,j=1,2]$. By measuring the total cross sections and the asymmetries with polarized beams, the chargino masses and the gaugino-higgsino mixing angles of these states can be determined accurately. If only the lightest charginos $\tildeχ_1^\pm$ are kinematically accessible in a first phase of the machine, transverse beam polarization or the measurement …
In most supersymmetric theories, charginos $\tildeχ^\pm_{1,2}$, mixtures of charged color-neutral gauginos and higgsinos, belong to the class of the lightest supersymmetric particles. They are easy to observe at $e^+e^-$ colliders. By measuring the total cross sections and the left-right asymmetries with polarized electron beams in $e^+e^-\to\tildeχ_i^-\tildeχ_j^+ [i,j=1,2]$, the chargino masses and the gaugino-higgsino mixing angles can be determined. From these observables the fundamental SUSY parameters can be derived: the SU(2) gaugino mass $M_2$, the modulus $|μ|$ and $\cos Φ_μ$ of the hi…
We investigate a two Higgs doublet model with extra flavour depending $U(1)_X$ gauge symmetry where $Z'$ boson interactions can explain the Atomki anomaly by choosing appropriate charge assignment for the SM fermions. For parameter region explaining the Atomki anomaly we obtain light scalar boson with $\mathcal{O}(10)$ GeV mass, and we explore scalar sector to search for allowed parameter space. We then discuss anomalous magnetic dipole moment of muon and lepton flavour violating processes induced by Yukawa couplings of our model.
A lepton-flavor violating (LFV) Z' boson may mimic some of the phenomena usually attributed to supersymmetric theories. Using a conservative model of LFV Z' bosons, the recent BNL E821 muon g-2 deviation allows for a LFV Z' interpretation with a boson mass up to 4.8 TeV while staying within limits set by muon conversion, mu -> e gamma, and mu -> eee. This model is immediately testable as one to twenty e^+e^- -> mu tau events are predicted for an analysis of the LEP II data. Future muon conversion experiments, MECO and PRIME, are demonstrated to have potential to probe very high boson masses wi…
