In this paper, we have proved a weighted Laplacian comparison of distance function for manifolds with Bakry-Émery curvature bounded from below. Next, we have shown that a gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with a bounded integral condition on Ricci curvature splits off a line isometrically. Moreover, using this result, we have established some boundedness conditions on scalar curvature of gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton.
The object of the present paper is to study some properties of Kenmotsu manifold whose metric is conformal $η$-Einstein soliton. We have studied some certain properties of Kenmotsu manifold admitting conformal $η$-Einstein soliton. We have also constructed a 3-dimensional Kenmotsu manifold satisfying conformal $η$-Einstein soliton.
The main purpose of the paper is to prove that if a compact Riemannian manifold admits a gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton such that the gradient Einstein potential is a non-trivial conformal vector field, then the manifold is isometric to the Euclidean sphere. We have showed that a Riemannian manifold satisfying gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with convex Einstein potential possesses non-negative scalar curvature. We have also deduced a sufficient condition for a Riemannian manifold to be compact which satisfies almost $η$-Ricci soliton (see Theorem 2).
The object of the present paper is to study some properties of para-K$ä$hler manifold whose metric is conformal Einstein soliton. We have studied some certain curvature properties of para-K$ä$hler manifold admitting conformal Einstein soliton.
As a generalization of Einstein manifolds, the nearly quasi-Einstein manifolds and pseudo quasi-Einstein manifolds are both interesting and useful in studying the general relativity. In this paper, we study the extended quasi-Einstein manifolds which derive from pseudo quasi-Einstein manifolds. After showing the existence theorem of extended quasi-Einstein manifold, we give some special geometric properties of such manifolds. At the same time, we also discuss the extended quasi-Einstein manifolds with certain soliton like generalised Ricci soliton or Riemann soliton. Furthermore, we construct …
In this paper we have investigated some aspects of gradient $ρ$-Einstein Ricci soliton in a complete Riemannian manifold. First, we have proved that the compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton is isometric to the Euclidean sphere by showing that the scalar curvature becomes constant. Second, we have showed that in a non-compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton satisfying some integral condition, the scalar curvature vanishes.
In this paper we consider connections between Ricci solitons and Einstein metrics on homogeneous spaces. We show that a semi-algebraic Ricci soliton admits an Einstein one-dimensional extension if the soliton derivation can be chosen to be normal. Using our previous work on warped product Einstein metrics, we show that every normal semi-algebraic Ricci soliton also admits a $k$-dimensional Einstein extension for any $k\geq 2$. We also prove converse theorems for these constructions and some geometric and topological structure results for homogeneous warped product Einstein metrics. In the appe…
In this paper the notion of Ricci $ρ$-soliton as a generalization of Ricci soliton is defined. We are motivated by the Ricci-Bourguignon flow to define this concept. We show that if a 3- dimensional almost Kenmotsu Einstein manifold $M$ be a $ρ$-soliton, then $M$ is a Kenmotsu manifold of constant sectional curvature $-1$ and the $ρ$-soliton is expanding, with $λ=2$.
In this paper, we mainly study gradient $ρ$-Einstein solitons on doubly warped product manifolds. More explicitly, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for a doubly warped product manifold to be a gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton. We also apply our main result to warped product spacetime models such as generalized Robertson-Walker and standard static spacetimes as well as 3-dimensional Walker manifolds. We finally establish that there is no 3-dimensional esentially conformally symmetric gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton.
Our aim in this article is to give a lower bound of the diameter of a compact gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton satisfying some given conditions. We have also deduced some conditions of the gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with bounded Ricci curvature to become non-shrinking and non-expanding. Further, we have proved that a complete non-compact gradient shrinking or expanding Schouten soliton with non-constant potential and a boundedness condition on scalar curvature must be non-parabolic.
In this article we have showed that a gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with a vector field of bounded norm and satisfying some other conditions is isometric to the Euclidean sphere. Later, we have proved that a non-trivial complete gradient $ρ$-Einstein soliton with finite weighted Dirichlet integral and certain restriction on Ricci curvature must be of constant scalar curvature and steady Ricci flat. Finally, we have proved that a non-shrinking or non-expanding gradient traceless Ricci soliton possessing some conditions must be steady.
The gradient shrinking $ρ$-Einstein soliton is a triple $(M^n,g,f)$ such that $$R_{ij}+f_{ij}=(ρR+λ) g_{ij},$$ where $(M^n,g)$ is a Riemannian manifold, $λ>0, ρ\in\mathbb{R}\setminus\{0\}$ and $f$ is the potential function on $M^n$. In this paper, using algebraic curvature estimates and the Yamabe-Sobolev inequality, we prove some integral pinching rigidity results for compact gradient shrinking $ρ$-Einstein solitons.
We construct gradient Kähler-Ricci solitons on Ricci-flat Kähler cone manifolds and on line bundles over toric Fano manifolds. Certain shrinking and expanding solitons are pasted together to form eternal solutions of the Ricci flow. The method we employ is the Calabi ansatz over Sasaki-Einstein manifolds, and the results generalize constructions of Cao and Feldman-Ilmanen-Knopf.
We present a general numerical method for investigating prescribed Ricci curvature problems on toric Kähler manifolds. This method is applied to two generalisations of Einstein metrics, namely Ricci solitons and quasi-Einstein metrics. We begin by recovering the Koiso--Cao soliton and the Lü--Page--Pope quasi-Einstein metrics on $\mathbb{CP}^{2}\sharp\overline{\mathbb{CP}}^{2}$ (in both cases the metrics are known explicitly). We also find numerical approximations to the Wang--Zhu soliton on $\mathbb{CP}^{2}\sharp 2\overline{\mathbb{CP}}^{2}$ (here the metric is not known explicitly). Finally,…
In this article, we provide some volume growth estimates for complete noncompact gradient Ricci solitons and quasi-Einstein manifolds similar to the classical results by Bishop, Calabi and Yau for complete Riemannian manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. We prove a sharp volume growth estimate for complete noncompact gradient shrinking Ricci soliton. Moreover, we provide upper bound volume growth estimates for complete noncompact quasi-Einstein manifolds with $λ=0.$ In addition, we prove that geodesic balls of complete noncompact quasi-Einstein manifolds with $λ<0$ and $μ\leq 0$ have at …
In this short note, we prove that a Calabi extremal Kaehler-Ricci soliton on a compact toric Kaehler manifold is Einstein. This solves for the class of toric manifolds a general problem stated by the authors that they solved only under some curvature assumptions.
In this paper we show that a $ρ$-Einstein solitons conformal to a pseudo-Euclidean space, invariant under the action of the pseudo-orthogonal group with zero scalar curvature is stady and consequently flat. How application of the results obtained we present an explicit example for a the question proposed by Kazdan in [17].
In this paper we introduce the notion of generalized quasi--Einstein manifold, that generalizes the concepts of Ricci soliton, Ricci almost soliton and quasi--Einstein manifolds. We prove that a complete generalized quasi--Einstein manifold with harmonic Weyl tensor and with zero radial Weyl curvature, is locally a warped product with $(n-1)$--dimensional Einstein fibers. In particular, this implies a local characterization for locally conformally flat gradient Ricci almost solitons, similar to that proved for gradient Ricci solitons.
In this paper we characterize the Einstein metrics in such broader classes of metrics as almost $η$-Ricci solitons and $η$-Ricci solitons on Kenmotsu manifolds, and generalize some results of other authors. First, we prove that a Kenmotsu metric as an $η$-Ricci soliton is Einstein metric if either it is $η$-Einstein or the potential vector field $V$ is an infinitesimal contact transformation or $V$ is collinear to the Reeb vector field. Further, we prove that if a Kenmotsu manifold admits a gradient almost $η$-Ricci soliton with a Reeb vector field leaving the scalar curvature invariant, then …
The present paper is to deliberate the class of $3$-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifolds which admits $η$-Einstein solitons. We have studied $η$-Einstein solitons on $3$-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifolds where the Ricci tensors are Codazzi type and cyclic parallel. We have also discussed some curvature conditions admitting $η$-Einstein solitons on $3$-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifolds and the vector field is torse-forming. We have also shown an example of $3$-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifold with respect to $η$-Einstein soliton to verify our results.
