On the Shafarevich conjecture for irreducible symplectic varieties

Irreducible symplectic varieties are higher-dimensional analogues of K3 surfaces. In this paper, we prove the Shafarevich conjecture for irreducible symplectic varieties of fixed deformation class. We also observe that the second cohomological generalization of the Shafarevich conjecture does not hold in general, and discuss another formulation of a cohomological generalization.

Moduli spaces of irreducible symplectic manifolds

We study the moduli spaces of polarised irreducible symplectic manifolds. By a comparison with locally symmetric varieties of orthogonal type of dimension 20, we show that the moduli space of 2d polarised (split type) symplectic manifolds which are deformation equivalent to degree 2 Hilbert schemes of a K3 surface is of general type if d is at least 12.

Moduli of K3 Surfaces and Irreducible Symplectic Manifolds

The name "K3 surfaces" was coined by A. Weil in 1957 when he formulated a research programme for these surfaces and their moduli. Auto-correlation functions of Sato-Tate distributions and identities of symplectic characters

The Sato-Tate distributions for genus 2 curves (conjecturally) describe the statistics of numbers of rational points on the curves. In this paper, we explicitly compute the auto-correlation functions of Sato-Tate distributions for genus 2 curves as sums of irreducible characters of symplectic groups. Our computations bring about families of identities involving irreducible characters of symplectic groups $Sp(2m)$ for all $m \in \mathbb Z_{\ge 1}$, which have interest in their own rights.

On generic supercuspidal representations of $Sp_{2n}$

We will construct a family of irreducible generic supercuspidal representations of the symplectic groups over non-archimedian local field $F$ of odd residual characteristic. The supercuspidal representations are compactly induced from irreducible representations of the hyperspecial compact subgroup which are inflated from irreducible representations of finite symplectic groups over the finite quotient ring of the integer ring of $F$ modulo high powers of the prime element.

Generalized Shalika model on $\mathrm{SO}_{4n}(F),$ symplectic linear model on $\mathrm{Sp}_{4n}(F)$ and theta correspondence

We show that if an irreducible admissible representation of $\mathrm{SO}_{4n}(F)$ has a generalized Shalika model, then its small theta lift to $\mathrm{Sp}_{4n}(F)$ has the symplectic linear model, thus answering a question posed by D. Moduli spaces of polarised symplectic O'Grady varieties and Borcherds products

We study moduli spaces of O'Grady's ten-dimensional irreducible symplectic manifolds. These moduli spaces are covers of modular varieties of dimension 21, namely quotients of hermitian symmetric domains by a suitable arithmetic group. The interesting and new aspect of this case is that the group in question is strictly bigger than the stable orthogonal group. This makes it different from both the K3 and the K3^[n] case, which are of dimension 19 and 20 respectively.

Monodromy of four dimensional irreducible compatible systems of Q

Let $F$ be a totally real field and $n\leq 4$ a natural number. We study the monodromy groups of any $n$-dimensional strictly compatible system $\{ρ_λ\}_λ$ of $λ$-adic representations of $F$ with distinct Hodge-Tate numbers such that $ρ_{λ_0}$ is irreducible for some $λ_0$.
