In this paper we identify a new family of black holes and solitons that lead to the exact integration of scalar probes, even in the presence of a non-minimal coupling with the Ricci scalar which has a non-trivial profile. The backgrounds are planar and spherical black holes as well as solitons of $SU\left( 2\right) \times SU\left( 2\right) $ $\mathcal{N}=4$ gauged supergravity in four dimensions. On these geometries, we compute the spectrum of (quasi-)normal modes for the non-minimally coupled scalar field. We find that the equation for the radial dependence can be integrated in terms of hypergeometric functions leading to an exact expression for the frequencies. The solutions do not asymptote to a constant curvature spacetime, nevertheless the asymptotic region acquires an extra conformal Killing vector. For the black hole, the scalar probe is purely ingoing at the horizon, and requiring that the solutions lead to an extremum of the action principle we impose a Dirichlet boundary condition at infinity. Surprisingly, the quasinormal modes do not depend on the radius of the black hole, therefore this family of geometries can be interpreted as isospectral in what regards to the wave operator non-minimally coupled to the Ricci scalar. We find both purely damped modes, as well as exponentially growing unstable modes depending on the values of the non-minimal coupling parameter. For the solitons we show that the same integrability property is achieved separately in a non-supersymmetric solutions as well as for the supersymmetric one. Imposing regularity at the origin and a well defined extremum for the action principle we obtain the spectra that can also lead to purely oscillatory modes as well as to unstable scalar probes, depending on the values of the non-minimal coupling.
We discuss the structure of supersymmetric solutions in the timelike case to general gauged N=2 d=4 supergravity theories coupled to non-Abelian vector multiplets and hypermultiplets.
Using exceptional field theory we construct supersymmetric warped AdS$_7$ vacua of massive IIA and AdS$_6$ vacua of IIB, as well as their consistent truncations including vector multiplets. We show there are no consistent truncations of massive IIA supergravity around its supersymmetric AdS$_7$ vacua with vector multiplets when the Roman's mass is non-vanishing. For AdS$_6$ vacua of IIB supergravity, we find that in addition to the consistent truncation to pure $\mathrm{F}(4)$ gauged SUGRA, the only other half-maximal truncations that are consistent result in $\mathrm{F}(4)$ gauged SUGRA coupl…
An infra-red fixed point of ${\mathcal N}=1$ super-Yang-Mills theory is believed to be dual to a solution of five-dimensional gauged ${\mathcal N}=8$ supergravity. We test this conjecture at next to leading order in the large $N$ expansion by computing bulk one-loop corrections to the anomaly coefficient $a-c$. The one-loop corrections are non-zero for all values of the bulk mass, and not just special ones as claimed in previous work.
We present an extension of our construction (hep-th/0606199) exhibiting $SO(4)\times SO(2)$ symmetry. We extend the previously presented ansatz by introducing a U(1) gauge field. The presence of the gauge field allows for more general values of the Killing spinor U(1) charge. One more time we identify a four dimensional Kahler structure and a Monge-Ampere type of equation parametrized by the U(1) Killing spinor charge. In addition we identify 2 scalars that parametrize the supersymmetric solutions, one of which is the Kahler potential.
We provide ${\cal N}=1$ superfield description of BPS backgrounds in six-dimensional supergravity (6D SUGRA) with 3-branes, which is compactified on a two-dimensional space. The brane terms induce the localized fluxes. We find a useful gauge in which the background equations become significantly simple. This is not the Wess-Zumino gauge, and the relation to the usual component-field expression of 6D SUGRA is not straightforward. One of the equations reduces to the Liouville equation. By moving to the Wess-Zumino gauge, we check that our expressions reproduce the known results of the previous w…
We calculate one-loop contributions to the Kaehler potential in 4D effective theory of 5D gauged supergravity (SUGRA) on S^1/Z_2 with a generic form of the prepotential and arbitrary boundary terms. Our result is applicable to a wide class of 5D SUGRA models. The derivation is systematically performed by means of an N=1 superfield formalism based on the superconformal formulation of 5D SUGRA. As an illustrative example, we provide an explicit expression of the Kaehler potential in the case of 5D flat spacetime.
The equations of motion of toroidal orientifold compactifications with fluxes are in one-to-one correspondence with gauged supergravity if the orientifold (and D-brane) sources are smeared over the compact space. This smeared limit is identical to the approximation that ignores warping. It is therefore relevant to compare quantities obtained from the gauged supergravity with the true 10d solution with localised sources. In this paper we find the correspondence between BPS domain walls in gauged SUGRA and 10D SUGRA with localised sources. Our model is the simplest orientifold with fluxes we are…
We give arguments for a conjecture made in a previous paper, that one has to use only the gauged sugra action for the calculation of correlators of certain operators via the AdS-CFT correspondence. The existence of consistent truncations implies that the massive modes decouple, and gauged supergravity is sufficient for computing n-point functions of CFT operators coupled to the massless (sugra) sector. The action obtained from the linear ansatz, of the type $ϕ(x,y)=ϕ_I(x)Y^I(y)$ gives only part of the gauged sugra. This means that there is a difference for the correlators on the boundary of Ad…
We study a four-dimensional effective theory of the five-dimensional (5D) gauged supergravity with a universal hypermultiplet and perturbative superpotential terms at the orbifold fixed points. The class of models we consider includes the 5D heterotic M-theory and the supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum model as special limits of the gauging parameters. We analyse the vacuum structure of the models, especially the nature of the moduli stabilization, from the viewpoint of the effective theory.
We construct supersymmetric, asymptotically AdS$_5$ gravitational soliton solutions of five-dimensional gauged supergravity coupled to arbitrarily many vector multiplets. These generalize the supersymmetric solitons of $U(1)^3$ gauged supergravity previously constructed by Chong, Cvetic, Lu, and Pope. We show that the solitons contain evanescent ergosurfaces and give an argument that these solitons should be nonlinearly unstable.
We study the gauged Landau-Lifshitz model in which a suitably chosen triplet of background scalar fields is included. It is shown that the model admits solitonic configurations.
Soliton modes in a gauged sigma model with interpolating potential have been investigated. Numerical solutions using a fourth order Runge -- Kutta method are discussed. By tuning the interpolation parameter the transition from symmetrybreaking to the symmetric phase is highlighted.
We show that the degeneracy of topological solitons in the gauged O(3) non-linear sigma model with Chern-Simons term may be removed by chosing a self-interaction potential with symmetry - breaking minima. The topological solitons in the model has energy, charge, flux and angular momentum quantised in each topological sector.
We study soliton solutions in 1+1 dimensional gauged sigma models, obtained by dimensional reduction from its 2+1 dimensional counterparts. We show that the Bogomol'nyi bound of these models can be expressed in terms of two conserved charges in a similar way to that of the BPS dyons in 3+1 dimensions. Purely magnetic vortices of the 2+1 dimensional completely gauged sigma model appear as charged solitons in the corresponding 1+1 dimensional theory. The scale invariance of these solitons is also broken because of the dimensional reduction. We obtain exact static soliton solutions of these model…
The $O(3)$ nonlinear sigma model with its $U(1)$ subgroup gauged, where the gauge field dynamics is solely governed by a Chern-Simons term, admits both topological as well as nontopological self-dual soliton solutions for a specific choice of the potential. It turns out that the topological solitons are infinitely degenerate in any given sector.
Vector $SO(3)$ gauged $O(4)$ sigma models on $\R_3$ are presented. The topological charge supplying the lower bound on the energy and rendering the soliton stable coincides with the Baryon number of the Skyrmion. These solitons have vanishing magnetic monopole flux. To exhibit the existence of such solitons, the equations of motion of one of these models is integrated numerically. The structure of the conserved Baryon current is briefly discussed.
The soliton structure of a gauge theory proposed to describe chiral excitations in the multi-Layer Fractional Quantum Hall Effect is investigated. A new type of derivative multi-component nonlinear Schrödinger equation emerges as effective description of the system that supports novel chiral solitons. We discuss the classical properties of the solutions and study relations to integrable systems.
The solitons of the SO(3) gauged Skyrme model with no pion-mass potential were studied in Refs. {nl,jmp}. Here, the effects of the inclusion of this potential are studied. In contrast with the (ungauged) Skyrme model, where the effect of this potential on the solitons is marginal, here it turns out to be decisive, resulting in very different dependence of the energy as a function of the Skyrme coupling constant.
We introduce the self-dual abelian gauged $O(3)$ sigma models where the Maxwell and Chern-Simons terms constitute the kinetic terms for the gauge field. These models have quite rich structures and various limits. Our models are found to exhibit both symmetric and broken phases of the gauge group. We discuss the pure Chern-Simons limit in some detail and study rotationally symmetric solitons.
A sequence of zero-temperature black-hole spacetimes with angular momentum and electric and magnetic charges is shown to exist in gauged $N=2$ supergravity. Stability of a subset of these spacetimes is demonstrated by saturation of the Bogomol'nyi bound arising from the supersymmetry algebra. The mass of the resulting solitonic black holes is given in terms of the cosmological constant and the angular momentum. We conjecture that at the quantum level these solitons are dyons with angular momentum determined by the electric and magnetic charges.
We consider soliton solutions in AdS$_{4}$ with a flat slicing and Wilson loops around one cycle. We study the phase structure and find the ground state and identify supersymmetric solutions as a function of the Wilson loops. We work in the context of a scalar field truncation of gauged $\mathcal{N}=8$ supergravity, where all the dilatons are equal and all the axions vanish in the STU model. In this theory, we construct new soliton solutions parameterized by two Wilson lines. We find that there is a degeneracy of supersymmetric solutions. We also show that, for alternate boundary conditions, t…
We start by revisiting the problem of finding BPS solutions in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SU(2)$\times$SU(2) gauged supergravity. We report on a new supersymmetric solution in the Abelian sector of the theory, which describes a soliton that is regular everywhere. The solution is 1/4 BPS and can be obtained from a double analytic continuation of a planar solution found by Klemm in hep-th/9810090. Also in the Abelian sector, but now for a spherically symmetric ansatz we find a new solution whose supersymmetric nature was overlooked in the previous literature. Then, we move to the non-Abelian sector of the …
The scale invariance of the $O(3)$ sigma model can be broken by gauging a $U(1)$ subgroup of the $O(3)$ symmetry and including a Maxwell term for the gauge field in the Lagrangian. Adding also a suitable potential one obtains a field theory of Bogomol'nyi type with topological solitons. These solitons are stable against rescaling and carry magnetic flux which can take arbitrary values in some finite interval. The soliton mass is independent of the flux, but the soliton size depends on it. However, dynamically changing the flux requires infinite energy, so the flux, and hence the soliton size, …
We investigate the existence of self-dual solitons with internal structure in a gauged $O(3)$ nonlinear sigma model immersed in a dielectric medium generated by a real scalar field (dubbed the source field). We consider rotationally symmetric configurations and applying the {Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield} formalism to obtain the energy lower bound and the respective {first-order differential equations (or self-dual equations).} By solving such a system of equations for three different dielectric media, we find the internal structure generates relevant changes in the soliton profiles when comp…
The soliton structure of a gauge theory recently proposed to describe chiral excitations in the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect is investigated. A new type of non-linear derivative Schrödinger equation emerges as an effective description of the system that supports novel chiral solitons. We discuss the classical properties of solutions with vanishing and non-vanishing boundary conditions (dark solitons) and we explain their relation to integrable systems. The quantum analysis is also addressed in the framework of a semiclassical approximation improved by Renormalization Group arguments.
We study static, spherically symmetric, and purely magnetic solutions of the N=4 gauged supergravity in four dimensions. A systematic analysis of the supersymmetry conditions reveals solutions which preserve 1/4 of the supersymmetries and are characterized by a BPS-monopole-type gauge field and a globally hyperbolic, everywhere regular geometry. We show that the theory in which these solutions arise can be obtained via compactification of ten-dimensional supergravity on the group manifold. This result is then used to lift the solutions to ten dimensions.
We demonstrate that the gauged BPS baby Skyrme model with a double vacuum potential allows for phase transitions from a non-solitonic to a solitonic phase, where the latter corresponds to a ferromagnetic liquid. Such a transition can be generated by increasing the external pressure $P$ or by turning on an external magnetic field $H$. As a consequence, the topological phase where gauged BPS baby skyrmions exist, is a higher density phase. For smaller densities, obtained for smaller values of $P$ and $H$, a phase without solitons is reached. We find the critical line in the $P,H$ parameter space…
It is shown that a gauged nonlinear $O(3)$ sigma model with anomalous magnetic moment interaction in $2+1$ dimensions is exactly integrable for static, self-dual field configurations. The matter fields are exactly equivalent to those of the usual ungauged nonlinear $O(3)$ sigma model. These static soliton solutions can be mapped into an Abelian purely magnetic vortex solutions through a suitable reduction of the non-Abelian gauge group. A relativistic Abelian model in $2+1$ dimensions is also presented where these purely magnetic vortices can be realized.
We analyze the stability of soliton solutions in a Chern-Simons-CP(1) model. We show a condition for which the soliton solutions are stable. Finally we verified this result numerically.
We consider the $U(1)$ gauged two-component Friedberg-Lee-Sirlin model in 3+1 dimensional Minkowski spacetime, which supports non-topological soliton configurations. Here we found families of axially-symmetric spinning gauged Q-balls, which possess both electric and magnetic fields. The coupling to the gauge sector gives rise to a new branch of solutions, which represent the soliton configuration coupled to a circular magnetic flux. Further, in superconducting phase this branch is linked to vorton type solutions which represent a vortex encircling the soliton. We discuss properties of these so…
The (1+1)-dimensional gauge model of two complex self-interacting scalar fields that interact with each other through an Abelian gauge field and a quartic scalar interaction is considered. It is shown that the model has nontopological soliton solutions describing soliton systems consisting of two Q-ball components possessing opposite electric charges. The two Q-ball components interact with each other through the Abelian gauge field and the quartic scalar interaction. The interplay between the attractive electromagnetic interaction and the repulsive quartic interaction leads to the existence o…
We show that one can reduce the coupled system of seven field equations of the (3+1)-dimensional gauged Skyrme model to the Heun equation (which, for suitable choices of the parameters, can be further reduced to the Whittaker-Hill equation) in two non-trivial topological sectors. Hence, one can get a complete analytic description of gauged solitons in (3+1) dimensions living within a finite volume in terms of classic results in the theory of differential equations and Kummer's con uent functions. We consider here two types of gauged solitons: gauged Skyrmions and gauged time-crystals (namely, …
The first analytic topologically non-trivial solutions in the (3+1)-dimensional gauged non-linear sigma model representing multi-solitons at finite volume with manifest ordered structures generating their own electromagnetic field are presented. The complete set of seven coupled non-linear field equations of the gauged non-linear sigma model together with the corresponding Maxwell equations are reduced in a self-consistent way to just one linear Schrodinger-like equation in two dimensions. The corresponding two dimensional periodic potential can be computed explicitly in terms of the solitons …
Recently it has been shown by Cho and Kimm that the gauged $CP^1$ model, obtained by gauging the global SU(2) group of $CP^1$ model and adding a corresponding Chern-Simons term, has got its own soliton. These solitons are somewhat distinct from those of pure $CP^1$ model, as they cannot always be characterised by $π_2(CP^1)=Z$. In this paper, we first carry out the Hamiltonian analysis of this gauged $CP^1$ model. Then we couple the Hopf term, associated to these solitons and again carry out its Hamiltonian analysis. The symplectic structures, along with the structures of the constraints, of t…
Gauged linear sigma models with C^m-valued scalar fields and gauge group U(1)^d, d \leq m, have soliton solutions of Bogomol'nyi type if a suitably chosen potential for the scalar fields is also included in the Lagrangian. Here such models are studied on (2+1)-dimensional Minkowski space. If the dynamics of the gauge fields is governed by a Maxwell term the appropriate potential is a sum of generalised Higgs potentials known as Fayet-Iliopoulos D-terms. Many interesting topological solitons of Bogomol'nyi type arise in models of this kind, including various types of vortices (e.g. Nielsen-Oles…
In the present paper, we consider a $\left(1 + 1\right)$-dimensional gauge model consisting of two complex scalar fields interacting with each other through an Abelian gauge field. When the model's gauge coupling constants are set equal to zero, the model possesses non-gauged Q-ball and kink solutions that do not interact with each other. It is shown that at nonzero gauge coupling constants, the model possesses the soliton solution describing the system consisting of interacting Q-ball and kink components. The kink and Q-ball components of the kink-Q-ball system have opposite electric charges,…
We show that the (3+1)-dimensional gauged non-linear sigma model minimally coupled to a U(1) gauge field possesses analytic solutions representing gauged solitons at finite Baryon density whose electromagnetic field is a Force Free Plasma. These gauged solitons manifest a crystalline structure and generate in a very natural way persistent currents able to support Force Free Plasma electromagnetic fields. The trajectories of charged test particles moving within these configurations can be characterized. Quite surprisingly, despite the non-integrable nature of the theory, some of the perturbatio…
We verify the existence of radially symmetric first-order solitons in a gauged $CP(2)$ scenario in which the dynamics of the Abelian gauge field is controlled by the Maxwell-Chern-Simons action. We implement the standard Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) formalism, from which we obtain a well-defined lower bound for the corresponding energy (i.e. the Bogomol'nyi bound) and the first-order equations saturating it. We solve these first-order equations numerically by means of the finite-difference scheme, therefore obtaining regular solutions of the effective model, their energy being quantize…
We present various supergravity black holes of different dimensions with some U(1) charges set equal in a simple, common form. Black hole solutions of seven dimensional U(1)^2 gauged supergravity with three independent angular momenta and two equal U(1) charges are obtained. We investigate the thermodynamics and the BPS limit of this solution, and find that there are rotating supersymmetric black holes without naked closed timelike curves. There are also supersymmetric topological soliton solutions without naked closed timelike curves that have a smooth geometry.
We study viscous hydrodynamics of hot conformal field theory plasma with multiple/non-Abelian symmetries in the framework of AdS/CFT correspondence, using a recently proposed method of directly solving bulk gravity in derivative expansion of local plasma parameters. Our motivation is to better describe the real QCD plasma produced at RHIC, incorporating its U(1)^Nf flavor symmetry as well as SU(2)_I non-Abelian iso-spin symmetry. As concrete examples, we choose to study the STU model for multiple U(1)^3 symmetries, which is a sub-sector of 5D N=4 gauged SUGRA dual to N=4 Super Yang-Mills theor…
We have performed a complete study of self-dual configurations in a $CPT$-odd and Lorentz-violating gauged $O(3)$ nonlinear sigma model. We have consistently implemented the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) formalism and obtained the correspondent differential first-order equations describing electrically charged self-dual configurations. The total energy and magnetic flux of the vortices, besides being proportional to the winding number, also depend explicitly on the Lorentz-violating coefficients belonging to the sigma sector. The total electrical charge is proportional to the magnetic f…
We shall consider about a 3-brane embedded in six-dimensional space-time with a negative bulk cosmological constant. The 3-brane is constructed by a topological soliton solution living in two-dimensional axially symmetric transverse subspace. Similar to most previous works of six-dimensional soliton models, our Maxwell gauged CP1 brane model can also achieve to localize gravity around the 3-brane. The CP1 field is described by a scalar doublet and derived from O(3) sigma model by projecting it onto two-dimensional complex space. In that sense, our framework is more effective than other soliton…
We study the thermodynamics of the recently-discovered non-extremal charged rotating black holes of gauged supergravities in five, seven and four dimensions, obtaining energies, angular momenta and charges that are consistent with the first law of thermodynamics. We obtain their supersymmetric limits by using these expressions together with an analysis of the AdS superalgebras including R-charges. We give a general discussion of the global structure of such solutions, and apply it in the various cases. We obtain new regular supersymmetric black holes in seven and four dimensions, as well as re…
We address some issues related to the construction of general Kaluza-Klein (KK) ansätze for the compactification of a supergravity (sugra) theory on a sphere $S_m$. We first reproduce various ansätze for compactification to 7d from the ansatz for the full nonlinear KK reduction of 11d sugra on $AdS_7\times S_4$. As a side result, we obtain a lagrangian formulation of 7d ${\cal N}=2$ gauged sugra, which so far had only a on-shell formulation, through field equations and constraints. The $AdS_7\times S_4$ ansatz generalizes therefore all previous sphere compactifications to 7d. Then we consider …
Non-topological gauged soliton solutions called Q-balls arise in many scalar field theories that are invariant under a U(1) gauge symmetry. The related, but qualitatively distinct, Q-shell solitons have only been shown to exist for special potentials. We investigate gauged solitons in a generic sixth-order polynomial potential (that contains the leading effects of many effective field theories) and show that this potential generically allows for both Q-balls and Q-shells. We argue that Q-shell solutions occur in many, and perhaps all, potentials that have previously only been shown to contain …
We construct a generalization of the AdS charged rotating black holes with two equal magnitude angular momenta in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity. In addition to the mass, electric charge and angular momentum, the new solutions possess an extra-parameter associated with a non-zero magnitude of the magnetic potential at infinity. In contrast with the known cases, these new black holes possess a non-trivial zero-horizon size limit which describes a one parameter family of spinning charged solitons. All configurations reported in this work approach asymptotically an AdS$_5$ spacetime…
We obtain new non-extremal rotating black hole solutions in maximal five-dimensional gauged supergravity. They are characterised by five parameters, associated with the mass, the two angular momenta, and two independently-specifiable charge parameters. Two of the three charges associated with the U(1)^3 Cartan subgroup of the SO(6) gauge group are equal, whilst the third can be independently specified. These new solutions generalise all the previously-known rotating solutions in five-dimensional gauged supergravity with independent angular momenta. They describe regular black holes, provided t…
We construct new class of regular soliton solutions of the gauged planar Skyrme model on the target space $S^2$ with fractional topological charges in the scalar sector. These field configurations represent Skyrmed vortices, they have finite energy and carry topologically quantized magnetic flux $Φ=2πn$ where $n$ is an integer. Using a special version of the product ansatz as guide, we obtain by numerical relaxation various multimeron solutions and investigate the pattern of interaction between the fractionally charged solitons. We show that, unlike the vortices in the Abelian Higgs model, the…
We examine classical and quantum aspects of the planar non-compact spin system coupled with Chern-Simons gauge field in the presence of background charge. We first define our classical spin system as non- relativistic non-linear sigma model in which the order parameter spin takes value in the non-compact manifold ${\cal M}=SU(1,1)/U(1)$. Although the naive model does not allow any finite energy self dual solitons, it is shown that the gauged system admits static Bogomol'nyi solitons with finite energy whose rotationally symmetric soliton solutions are analyzed in detail. We also discuss the la…
We show that the least energy conditions in the gauged nonlinear sigma model with Chern-Simons term lead to exact soliton-like solutions which have the same features as domain walls. We will derive and discuss the corresponding solutions, and compute the total energy, charge, and spin of the resulting system.
In this paper, we construct the first analytic examples of (3+1)-dimensional self-gravitating regular cosmic tube solutions which are superconducting, free of curvature singularities and with non-trivial topological charge in the Einstein-SU(2) non-linear sigma-model. These gravitating topological solitons at a large distance from the axis look like a (boosted) cosmic string with an angular defect given by the parameters of the theory, and near the axis, the parameters of the solutions can be chosen so that the metric is singularity free and without angular defect. The curvature is concentrate…
Recently it was shown by Cho and Kimm that the gauged $CP^1$ model, obtained by gauging the global $SU(2)$ group and adding a corresponding Chern-Simons term, has got its own soliton. These solitons are somewhat distinct from those of pure $CP^1$ model as they cannot always be characterised by $π_2(CP^1)=Z$. In this paper, we first carry out a detailed Hamiltonian analysis of this gauged $CP^1$ model. This reveals that the model has only $SU(2)$ as the gauge invariance, rather than $SU(2) \times U(1)$. The $U(1)$ gauge invariance of the original (ungauged) $CP^1$ model is actually contained in…
We investigate supersymmetric solutions of minimal gauged supergravity in five dimensions, in the timelike class. We propose an ansatz based on a four-dimensional local orthotoric Kaehler metric and reduce the problem to a single sixth-order equation for two functions, each of one variable. We find an analytic, asymptotically locally AdS solution comprising five parameters. For a conformally flat boundary, this reduces to a previously known solution with three parameters, representing the most general solution of this type known in the minimal theory. We discuss the possible relevance of certa…
The baby Skyrme model is a well-known nonlinear field theory supporting topological solitons in two space dimensions. Its action functional consists of a potential term, a kinetic term quadratic in derivatives (the "nonlinear sigma model term") and the Skyrme term quartic in first derivatives. The limiting case of vanishing sigma model term (the so-called BPS baby Skyrme model) is known to support exact soliton solutions saturating a BPS bound which exists for this model. Further, the BPS model has infinitely many symmetries and conservation laws. Recently it was found that the gauged version …
