The incorporation of Wilson lines leads to an extension of the modular symmetries of string compactification beyond $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)$. In the simplest case with one Wilson line $Z$, Kähler modulus $T$ and complex structure modulus $U$, we are led to the Siegel modular group $\mathrm{Sp}(4,\mathbb Z)$. It includes $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)_T\times\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)_U$ as well as $\mathbb Z_2$ mirror symmetry, which interchanges $T$ and $U$. Possible applications to flavor physics of the Standard Model require the study of orbifolds of $\mathrm{Sp}(4,\mathbb Z)$ to obtain chiral fermions. We identify the 13 possible orbifolds and determine their modular flavor symmetries as subgroups of $\mathrm{Sp}(4,\mathbb Z)$. Some cases correspond to symmetric orbifolds that extend previously discussed cases of $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)$. Others are based on asymmetric orbifold twists (including mirror symmetry) that do no longer allow for a simple intuitive geometrical interpretation and require further study. Sometimes they can be mapped back to symmetric orbifolds with quantized Wilson lines. The symmetries of $\mathrm{Sp}(4,\mathbb Z)$ reveal exciting new aspects of modular symmetries with promising applications to flavor model building.
We present a detailed analysis of the eclectic flavor structure of the two-dimensional $\mathbb Z_2$ orbifold with its two unconstrained moduli $T$ and $U$ as well as $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)_T\times \mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)_U$ modular symmetry. This provides a thorough understanding of mirror symmetry as well as the $R$-symmetries that appear as a consequence of the automorphy factors of modular transformations. It leads to a complete picture of local flavor unification in the $(T,U)$ modulus landscape. In view of applications towards the flavor structure of particle physics models, we are l…
Modular symmetries naturally combine with traditional flavor symmetries and $\mathcal{CP}$, giving rise to the so-called eclectic flavor symmetry. We apply this scheme to the two-dimensional $\mathbb{Z}_2$ orbifold, which is equipped with two modular symmetries $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})_T$ and $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})_U$ associated with two moduli: the Kähler modulus $T$ and the complex structure modulus $U$. The resulting finite modular group is $((S_3\times S_3)\rtimes \mathbb{Z}_4)\times\mathbb{Z}_2$ including mirror symmetry (that exchanges $T$ and $U$) and a generalized $\mathcal{CP}$-…
For string theory on AdS$_3$ with pure NS-NS flux a complete set of DDF operators is constructed, from which one can read off the symmetry algebra of the spacetime CFT. Together with an analysis of the spacetime spectrum, this allows us to show that the CFT dual of superstring theory on ${\rm AdS}_3 \times {\rm S}^3 \times \mathbb{T}^4$ for generic NS-NS flux is the symmetric orbifold of $({\cal N}=4$ Liouville theory$)\times \mathbb{T}^4$. For the case of minimal flux ($k=1$), the Liouville factor disappears, and we just obtain the symmetric orbifold of $\mathbb{T}^4$, thereby giving further …
We study the modular symmetry anomaly in magnetized orbifold models. The non-perturbative effects such as D-brane instanton effects can break tree-level symmetry. We study which part of the modular symmetry is broken explicitly by Majorana mass terms with three generations of neutrinos. The modular weight of neutrino mass terms does not match with other coupling terms in tree-level Lagrangian. In addition, the $Z_N$ symmetry of the modular flavor symmetry is broken and a certain normal subgroup of the modular flavor symmetry remains in neutrino mass terms.
We study the modular symmetry on magnetized toroidal orbifolds with Scherk-Schwarz phases. In particular, we investigate finite modular flavor groups for three-generation modes on magnetized orbifolds. The three-generation modes can be the three-dimensional irreducible representations of covering groups and central extended groups of $Γ_N$ for $N=3,4,5,7,8,16$, that is, covering groups of $Δ(6(N/2)^2)$ for $N=$ even and central extensions of $PSL(2,\mathbb{Z}_{N})$ for $N=$odd with Scherk-Schwarz phases. We also study anomaly behaviors.
We study the modular symmetry of zero-modes on $T_1^2 \times T_2^2$ and orbifold compactifications with magnetic fluxes, $M_1,M_2$, where modulus parameters are identified. This identification breaks the modular symmetry of $T^2_1 \times T^2_2$, $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})_1 \times SL(2,\mathbb{Z})_2$ to $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})\equivΓ$. Each of the wavefunctions on $T^2_1 \times T^2_2$ and orbifolds behaves as the modular forms of weight 1 for the principal congruence subgroup $Γ$($N$), $N$ being 2 times the least common multiple of $M_1$ and $M_2$. Then, zero-modes transform each other under the modular symm…
We study of fermion zero-modes on magnetized $T^6/\mathbb{Z}_N$ orbifolds. In particular, we focus on non-factorizable orbifolds, i.e. $T^6/\mathbb{Z}_7$ and $T^6/\mathbb{Z}_{12}$ corresponding to $SU(7)$ and $E_6$ Lie lattices respectively. The number of degenerated zero-modes corresponds to the generation number of low energy effective theory in four dimensional space-time. We find that three-generation models preserving 4D $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetry can be realized by magnetized $T^6/\mathbb{Z}_{12}$, but not by $T^6/\mathbb{Z}_7$. We use $Sp(6,\mathbb{Z})$ modular transformation for the…
I construct a complete 1-loop partition function of a bosonic closed string on orbifolds. Furthermore, I derive sufficient conditions for the modular invariance of the partition function.
We study quark mass matrices derived from magnetized $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$ orbifold models. Yukawa matrices at three modular fixed points, $τ=i, e^{2πi/3}$ and $i\infty$ are invariant under $S$, $ST$ and $T$-transformations. We study these invariances on $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$ twisted orbifold. We find that Yukawa matrices have a kind of texture structures although ones at $τ=i\infty$ are not realistic. We classify Yukawa textures at $τ=i$ and $e^{2πi/3}$. Moreover we investigate the conditions such that quark mass matrix constructed by Yukawa textures becomes approximately rank one matrix, which is …
Explicit formulae describing the genus one characters and modular transformation properties of permutation orbifolds of arbitrary Rational Conformal Field Theories are presented, and their relation to the theory of covering surfaces is investigated.
Target space modular symmetries relevant to string loop threshold corrections are studied for $Z_N$ orbifold compactified string theories containing Wilson line background fields.
The modular symmetries of string loop threshold corrections for gauge coupling constants are studied in the presence of discrete Wilson lines for all examples of abelian orbifolds, where the point group is realised by the action of Coxeter elements or generalised Coxeter elements on the root lattices of the Lie groups.
We study $T^2/Z_N$ orbifold models with magnetic fluxes. We propose a systematic way to analyze the number of zero-modes and their wavefunctions by use of modular transformation. Our results are consistent with the previous results, and our approach is more direct and analytical than the previous ones. The index theorem implies that the zero-mode number of the Dirac operator on $T^2$ is equal to the index $M$, which corresponds to the magnetic flux in a certain unit. Our results show that the zero-mode number of the Dirac operator on $T^2/Z_N$ is equal to $\lfloor M/N \rfloor +1$ except one ca…
We study the modular symmetry in $T^2$ and orbifold comfactifications with magnetic fluxes. There are $|M|$ zero-modes on $T^2$ with the magnetic flux $M$. Their wavefunctions as well as massive modes behave as modular forms of weight $1/2$ and represent the double covering group of $Γ\equiv SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$, $\widetildeΓ \equiv \widetilde{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})$. Each wavefunction on $T^2$ with the magnetic flux $M$ transforms under $\widetildeΓ(2|M|)$, which is the normal subgroup of $\widetilde{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})$. Then, $|M|$ zero-modes are representations of the quotient group $\widetildeΓ'_{2…
We discuss the appearance of modular functions at the one-loop gauge and gravitational couplings in (0,2) non-decomposable N=1 four dimensional orbifold compactifications of the heterotic string. We define the limits for the existence of states causing singularities in the moduli space in the perturbative regime for a generic vacuum of the heterotic string. The "proof" provides evidence for the explanation of the stringy Higgs effect.
Given a two-dimensional conformal field theory with a global symmetry, we propose a method to implement an orbifold construction by taking orbits of the modular group. For the case of cyclic symmetries we find that this approach always seems to be consistent, even in asymmetric orbifold cases where the usual construction does not yield a modular invariant theory; our approach keeps modular invariance manifest but may give a result that is equivalent to the original theory. For the case that the symmetry is a subgroup of a continuous flavor symmetry, we can give explicit constructions of the sp…
We study the modular symmetry in magnetized D-brane models on $T^2$. Non-Abelian flavor symmetry $D_4$ in the model with magnetic flux $M=2$ (in a certain unit) is a subgroup of the modular symmetry. We also study the modular symmetry in heterotic orbifold models. The $T^2/Z_4$ orbifold model has the same modular symmetry as the magnetized brane model with $M=2$, and its flavor symmetry $D_4$ is a subgroup of the modular symmetry.
We study quark and lepton mass matrices derived from magnetized $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_2$ orbifold models. Quark and lepton masses have a large hierarchy. In addition, mixing angles are large in the lepton sector, while those are small in the quark sector. We find that this structure can be realized in certain flavor models, which are identified by the zero points of the zero-mode wave functions of fermions and Higgs modes. We classify such realistic flavor models. Fixed points $τ=i$, $e^{2πi/3}$ and $i\infty$ of the modulus $τ$ play a role in realizing a large mass hierarchy through our scenario, wh…
We describe the duality group $Γ=SU(3,3,Z)$ for the Narain lattice of the $T^6/Z_3$ orbifold and its action on the corresponding moduli space. A symplectic embedding of the momenta and winding numbers allows us to connect the orbifold lattice to the special geometry of the moduli space. As an application, a formal expression for an automorphic function, which is a candidate for a non--perturbative superpotential, is given.
An orbifold datum is a collection $\mathbb{A}$ of algebraic data in a modular fusion category $\mathcal{C}$. It allows one to define a new modular fusion category $\mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$ in a construction that is a generalisation of taking the Drinfeld centre of a fusion category. Under certain simplifying assumptions we characterise orbifold data $\mathbb{A}$ in terms of scalars satisfying polynomial equations and give an explicit expression which computes the number of isomorphism classes of simple objects in $\mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$. In Ising-type modular categories we find new example…
${\bf Z}_2\times {\bf Z}_2$ Coxeter orbifolds are constructed with the property that some twisted sectors have fixed planes for which the six-torus can not be decomposed into a direct sum ${\bf T}^2\bigoplus{\bf T}^4 $ with the fixed plane lying in ${\bf T}^2$. The string loop threshold corrections to the gauge coupling constants are derived, and display symmetry groups for the $T$ and $U$ moduli that are subgroups of the full modular group $PSL(2,Z)$. The effective potential for duality invariant gaugino condensate in the presence of hidden sector matter is constructed and minimized for the v…
The particle spectrum of the supersymmetric extension of the standard model with a gauge singlet is studied. Soft supersymmetry breaking terms are explicitly chosen to be non-universal according to orbifold string theory. they depend on modular weights of chiral fields and on an angle $θ$ specifying the supersymmetry breaking sector. Imposing radiative weak symmetry breaking and requiring that standard model Yukawa couplings should be allowed yield constraints on modular weights and almost specifies the angle $θ$. We then perform a numerical anlysis of the low energy spectrum. It turns out tha…
We demonstrate how to find modular discrete symmetry groups for $Z_N$ orbifolds. The $Z_7$ orbifold is treated in detail as a non-trivial example of a $(2,2)$ orbifold model. We give the generators of the modular group for this case which, surprisingly, does not contain $\sltz^3$ as had been speculated. The treatment models with discrete Wilson lines is also discussed. We consider examples which demonstrate that discrete Wilson lines affect the modular group in a non-trivial manner. In particular, we show that it is possible for a Wilson line to break $SL(2,{\bf Z})$.
In Carqueville et al., arXiv:1809.01483, the notion of an orbifold datum $\mathbb{A}$ in a modular fusion category $\mathcal{C}$ was introduced as part of a generalised orbifold construction for Reshetikhin-Turaev TQFTs. In this paper, given a simple orbifold datum $\mathbb{A}$ in $\mathcal{C}$, we introduce a ribbon category $\mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$ and show that it is again a modular fusion category. The definition of $\mathcal{C}_{\mathbb{A}}$ is motivated by properties of Wilson lines in the generalised orbifold. We analyse two examples in detail: (i) when $\mathbb{A}$ is given by a simp…
We study orbifolding by the $\mathbb{Z}_2^{\rm (per)}$ permutaion of $T^2_1 \times T^2_2$ with magnetic fluxes and its twisted orbifolds. We classify the possible three generation models which lead to non-vanishing Yukawa couplings on the magnetized $T^2_1 \times T^2_2$ and orbifolds including the $\mathbb{Z}_2^{\rm (per)}$ permutation and $\mathbb{Z}_2^{\rm (t)}$ twist. We also study the modular symmetry on such orbifold models. As an illustrating model, we examine the realization of quark masses and mixing angles.
We revisit the question of gauge coupling unification at the string scale in orbifold compactifications of the heterotic string for the supersymmetric Standard Model. In the presence of discrete Wilson lines threshold corrections with modular symmetry that is a subgroup of the full modular group arise. We find that reduced modular symmetries not previously reported are possible. We conjecture that the effects of such threshold corrections can be simulated using sums of terms built from Dedekind eta functions to obtain the appropriate modular symmetry. For the cases of the Z_8-I orbifold and th…
We consider the stabilization of string moduli and resulting soft supersymmetry-breaking terms in heterotic string orbifolds. Among the results obtained are: formulae for the scalar interaction soft terms without integrating out the hidden sector gaugino condensate, which reduce to standard expressions in the usual "truncated" limit; an expression for the modular transformation of A-terms; a study of the minima of the scalar potential in the Kaehler modulus direction; and a discussion of the implications for CP violation phenomenology. Some closely related results have appeared in a recent pap…
We extend the modular orbits method of constructing a two-dimensional orbifold conformal field theory to higher genus Riemann surfaces. We find that partition functions on surfaces of arbitrary genus can be constructed by a straightforward generalization of the rules that one would apply to the torus. We demonstrate how one can use these higher genus objects to compute correlation functions and OPE coefficients in the underlying theory. In the case of orbifolds of free bosonic theories by subgroups of continuous symmetries, we can give the explicit results of our procedure for symmetric and as…
A general theory of permutation orbifolds is developed for arbitrary twist groups. Explicit expressions for the number of primaries, the partition function, the genus one characters, the matrix elements of modular transformations and for fusion rule coefficients are presented, together with the relevant mathematical concepts, such as Lambda-matrices and twisted dimensions. The arithmetic restrictions implied by the theory for the allowed modular representations in CFT are discussed. The simplest nonabelian example with twist group S_3 is described to illustrate the general theory.
An explicit orbifold example of the non-zero correlation functions related to the additional contribution to the induced mass term for Higgs particles at low energies is given. We verify that they form finite dimensional representations of the target space modular transformation $SL_2(Z)$. This action of the modular group is shown to be consistent with its action on the fixed points set defining the twisted fields.
In string-inspired semi-realistic heterotic orbifolds models with an anomalous $U(1)_X$, a nonzero Kobayashi-Masakawa (KM) phase is shown to arise generically from the expectation values of complex scalar fields, which appear in nonrenormalizable quark mass couplings. Modular covariant nonrenormalizable superpotential couplings are constructed. A toy $Z_3$ orbifold model is analyzed in some detail. Modular symmetries and orbifold selection rules are taken into account and do not lead to a cancellation of the KM phase. We also discuss attempts to obtain the KM phase solely from renormalizable i…
We propose matter wavefunctions on resolutions of $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_N$ singularities with constant magnetic fluxes. In the blow-down limit, the obtained wavefunctions of chiral zero-modes result in those on the magnetized $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_N$ orbifold models, but the wavefunctions of $\mathbb{Z}_N$-invariant zero-modes receive the blow-up effects around fixed points of $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_N$ orbifolds. Such blow-up effects change the selection rules and Yukawa couplings among the chiral zero-modes as well as the modular symmetry, in contrast to those on the magnetized $T^2/\mathbb{Z}_N$ orbifold model…
The possibility of spontaneous breaking of CP symmetry by the expectation values of orbifold moduli is investigated with particular reference to $CP$ violating phases in soft supersymmetry breaking terms. The effect of different mechanisms for stabilizing the dilaton and the form of the non-perturbative superpotential on the existence and size of these phases is studied. Models with modular symmetries which are subgroups of $PSL(2,Z)$, as well as the single overall modulus $T$ case with the full $PSL(2,Z)$ modular symmetry, are discussed. Non-perturbative superpotentials involving the absolute…
We investigate the implications for fermion mass models in heterotic orbifolds of the modular symmetry mixing twisted states localized at different fixed points. We show that, unlike in the case of continuous gauge symmetries, the mass eigenstates do not mix under the symmetry; thus coupling constants in the low-energy theory are invariant functions of the moduli.
We examine a common origin of four-dimensional flavor, CP, and $U(1)_R$ symmetries in the context of heterotic string theory with standard embedding. We find that flavor and $U(1)_R$ symmetries are unified into the $Sp(2h+2, \mathbb{C})$ modular symmetries of Calabi-Yau threefolds with $h$ being the number of moduli fields. Together with the $\mathbb{Z}_2^{\rm CP}$ CP symmetry, they are enhanced to $GSp(2h+2, \mathbb{C})\simeq Sp(2h+2, \mathbb{C})\rtimes \mathbb{Z}_2^{\rm CP}$ generalized symplectic modular symmetry. We exemplify the $S_3, S_4, T^\prime, S_9$ non-Abelian flavor symmetries on e…
We study the modular invariance of strings on pp-waves with RR-flux. We explicitly show that the one-loop partition functions of the maximally supersymmetric pp-waves and their orbifolds can be modular invariant in spite of the mass terms in the light-cone gauge. From this viewpoint, we also determine the spectrum of type 0B theory on pp-wave and discuss its gauge theory dual. Furthermore, we investigate the spectrum of a non-supersymmetric orbifold and point out its supersymmetry enhancement in the Penrose limit.
We prove that the ancestor Gromov-Witten correlation functions of one-dimensional compact Calabi-Yau orbifolds are quasi-modular forms. This includes the pillowcase orbifold which can not yet be handled by using Milanov-Ruan's B-model technique. We first show that genus zero modularity is obtained from the phenomenon that the system of WDVV equations is essentially equivalent to the set of Ramanujan identities satisfied by the generators of the ring of quasi-modular forms for a certain modular group associated to the orbifold curve. Higher genus modularity then follows by using tautological re…
The goal of the present paper is to provide a mathematically rigorous foundation to certain aspects of rational orbifold conformal field theory, in other words the theory of rational vertex operator algebras and their automorphisms. Under a certain finiteness condition on a rational vertex operator algebra V which holds in all known examples, we determine the precise numbers of g-twisted sectors for any automorphism g of V of finite order. We prove that the trace functions and correlations functions associated with such twisted sectors are holomorphic functions in the upper half-plane and, und…
We use the remodeling approach to the B-model topological string in terms of recursion relations to study open string amplitudes at orbifold points. To this end, we clarify modular properties of the open amplitudes and rewrite them in a form that makes their transformation properties under the modular group manifest. We exemplify this procedure for the C^3/Z_3 orbifold point of local P^2, where we present results for topological string amplitudes for genus zero and up to three holes, and for the one-holed torus. These amplitudes can be understood as generating functions for either open orbifol…
In this paper, we introduce a new set of modular-invariant phase factors for orbifolds with trivially-acting subgroups, analogous to discrete torsion and generalizing quantum symmetries. After describing their basic properties, we generalize decomposition to include orbifolds with these new phase factors, making a precise proposal for how such orbifolds are equivalent to disjoint unions of other orbifolds without trivially-acting subgroups or one-form symmetries, which we check in numerous examples.
In this paper we argue how the sign changes on an average for the positive weight mock modular forms associated with the ${\cal N}=4$ type II string black holes compactified on orbifolds of $K3\times T^2$. The orbifolds of order $N$ act with $g'\in[M_{23}]$ an order $N$ symplectic orbifold on $K3$ and a $1/N$ shift in one of the circles of the torus $T^2$. We expand the inverse Siegel modular forms of subgroups of $Sp_2(\mathbb{Z})$ for the magnetic charge $P^2=2$ in terms of mock Jacobi forms and Appell Lerch sums. We analyze the average growth of the coefficients of these mock modular forms …
We discuss recent results on orbifold compactifications with (0,2) world sheet supersymmetry and continuous Wilson lines, emphasizing the role of modular symmetries. (This work is a contribution to the proceedings of the joint US Polish Workshop on Physics from the Planck scale to the Electro-Weak scale, Warsaw, 21.9. - 24.9.1994)
We present a systematic study of the constraints coming from target-space duality and the associated duality anomaly cancellations on orbifold-like 4-D strings. A prominent role is played by the modular weights of the massless fields. We present a general classification of all possible modular weights of massless fields in Abelian orbifolds. We show that the cancellation of modular anomalies strongly constrains the massless fermion content of the theory, in close analogy with the standard ABJ anomalies. We emphasize the validity of this approach not only for (2,2) orbifolds but for (0,2) model…
We present the coset structure of the untwisted moduli space of heterotic $(0,2) \; Z_N$ orbifold compactifications with continuous Wilson lines. For the cases where the internal 6-torus $T_6$ is given by the direct sum $T_4 \oplus T_2$, we explicitly construct the Kähler potentials associated with the underlying 2-torus $T_2$. We then discuss the transformation properties of these Kähler potentials under target space modular symmetries. For the case where the $Z_N$ twist possesses eigenvalues of $-1$, we find that holomorphic terms occur in the Kähler potential describing the mixing of comple…
Target space symmetries are studied for orbifold compactified string theories containing Wilson line background fields. The symmetries determined are for those moduli which contribute to the string loop threshold corrections of the gauge coupling constants. The groups found are subgroups of the modular group $PSL(2, Z)$ and depend on the choice of discrete Wilson lines and the shape of the underlying six-dimensional lattice.
The theory of topological modular forms (TMF) predicts that elliptic genera of physical theories satisfy a certain divisibility property, determined by the theory's gravitational anomaly. In this note we verify this prediction in Duncan's Supermoonshine module, as well as in tensor products and orbifolds thereof. Along the way we develop machinery for computing the elliptic genera of general alternating orbifolds and discuss the relation of this construction to the elusive "periodicity class" of TMF.
We verify the Generalised Moonshine conjectures for some irrational modular functions for the Monster centralisers related to the Harada-Norton, Held, $M_{12}$ and $L_3(3)$ simple groups based on certain orbifolding constraints. We find explicitly the fixing groups of the hauptmoduls arising in each case.
In this paper, we proved generating functions of Gromov-Witten cycles of the elliptic orbifold lines with weights (3,3,3), (4,4,2), and (6,3,2) are cycle-valued quasi-modular forms. This is a generalization of Milanov and Ruan's work on cycle-valued level. First we construct a global cohomology field theory (CohFT) for simple elliptic singularities (modulo an extension problem) and prove its modularity. Then, we apply Teleman's reconstruction theorem to prove mirror theorems on cycled-valued level and match it with a CohFT from Gromov-Witten theory of a corresponding orbifold. This solves the e…
We calculate the moduli dependent part of string one-loop threshold corrections to gauge couplings for the heterotic string theory compactified on abelian toroidal orbifolds, allowing for arbitrary discrete Wilson lines. We show that the knowledge of threshold corrections for any such compactification is equivalent to solving a class of integrals. We solve a sub-class of these integrals and show how any model can be mapped onto this class by fractional linear transformations of its fixed plane moduli. Modular symmetries of the final expression are discussed.
We consider non-chiral symmetry-protected topological phases of matter in two spatial dimensions protected by a discrete symmetry such as $\mathbb{Z}_K$ or $\mathbb Z_K \times \mathbb Z_K $ symmetry. We argue that modular invariance/noninvariance of the partition function of the one-dimensional edge theory can be used to diagnose whether, by adding a suitable potential, the edge theory can be gapped or not without breaking the symmetry. By taking bosonic phases described by Chern-Simons K-matrix theories and fermionic phases relevant to topological superconductors as an example, we demonstrate…
