We verify the Generalised Moonshine conjectures for some irrational modular functions for the Monster centralisers related to the Harada-Norton, Held, $M_{12}$ and $L_3(3)$ simple groups based on certain orbifolding constraints. We find explicitly the fixing groups of the hauptmoduls arising in each case.

We consider orbifoldings of the Moonshine Module with respect to the abelian group generated by a pair of commuting Monster group elements with one of prime order $p=2,3,5,7$ and the other of order $pk$ for $k=1$ or $k$ prime. We consider the application of Abelian orbifold constructions in Meromorphic Conformal Field Theory (MCFT) towards an understanding of various aspects of Monstrous Moonshine and Generalised Moonshine. For $p = 3,5,7,13$, we consider a ${\mathbb Z}_p$-orbifold construction of the Moonshine vertex operator algebra $V^\natural$. We show that the vertex operator algebra obtained by the ${\mathbb Z}_p$-orbifold construction on the Leech lattice vertex operator algebra $V_Λ$ and a lift of a fixed-point-free isometry of order $p$ is isomorphic to the Moonshine vertex operator algebra $V^\natural$. In this article, we describe some maximal $3$-local subgroups of the Monster simple group using vertex operator algebras (VOA). We first study the holomorphic vertex operator algebra obtained by applying the orbifold construction to the Leech lattice vertex operator algebra and a lift of a fixed-point free isometry of order $3$ of the Leech lattice. We also consider some of its special subVOAs and study their stabilizer subgroups using the symmetries of the subVOAs. The Mathieu twisted twining genera, i.e. the analogues of Norton's generalised Moonshine functions, are constructed for the elliptic genus of K3. It is shown that they satisfy the expected consistency conditions, and that their behaviour under modular transformations is controlled by a 3-cocycle in H^3(M_24,U(1)), just as for the case of holomorphic orbifolds. This suggests that a holomorphic VOA may be underlying Mathieu Moonshine.
In this article we prove that the full automorphism group of the baby-monster vertex operator superalgebra constructed by Hoehn is isomorphic to 2xB, where B is the baby-monster sporadic finite simple group and determine irreducible modules for the baby-monster vertex operator algebra. Our result has many corollaries. In particular, we can prove that the Z_2-orbifold construction with respect to a 2A-involution of the Monster applied to the moonshine vertex operator algebra yields the moonshine vertex operator algebra itself again.

We define the notion of a holomorphic bundle on the noncommutative toric orbifold $T_θ/G$ associated with an action of a finite cyclic group $G$ on an irrational rotation algebra. This dissertation answers some of the questions raised in Borcherds' papers on Moonshine and Lorentzian reflection groups. We prove (assuming an open conjecture of Burger, Li and Sarnak) that a Lorentzian reflection group with Weyl vector is associated to a vector-valued modular form. This result allows us to establish a folklore conjecture that the maximal dimension of a Lorentzian reflection group with Weyl vector is 26.
