Pointed Hopf algebras over the sporadic simple groups

We show that every finite-dimensional complex pointed Hopf algebra with group of group-likes isomorphic to a sporadic group is a group algebra, except for the Fischer group Fi22, the Baby Monster and the Monster. For these three groups, we give a short list of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules whose Nichols algebra is not known to be finite-dimensional.

On Z_2-twisted representation of vertex operator superalgebras and the Ising model SVOA

We investigate a general theory of the Z_2-twisted representations of vertex operator superalgebras. Certain one-to-one correspondence theorems are established. We also give an explicit realization of the Ising model SVOA and its Z_2-twisted modules. As an application, we obtain the Gerald Hoehn's Babymonster SVOA VB and its Z_2-twisted module VB_{tw} from the moonshine VOA V^\nat by cutting off the Ising models. It is also shown in this paper that Aut (VB) is finite.

Rational Generalised Moonshine from Abelian Orbifoldings of the Moonshine Module

We consider orbifoldings of the Moonshine Module with respect to the abelian group generated by a pair of commuting Monster group elements with one of prime order $p=2,3,5,7$ and the other of order $pk$ for $k=1$ or $k$ prime. We show that constraints arising from meromorphic orbifold conformal field theory allow us to demonstrate that each orbifold partition function with rational coefficients is either constant or is a hauptmodul for an explicitly found modular fixing group of genus zero. Some twisted sectors for the Moonshine Module

For the moonshine module $V^{\natural},$ whose automorphism is the Monster ${\Bbb M},$ We show how to give a uniform existence proof for irreducible $g$-twisted modules for elements of type $2A,$ $2B$ and $4A$ in ${\Bbb M}.$ The most interesting of these is the twisted sector $V^{\natural}(2A),$ whose automorphism group is essentially the centralizer of $2A$ in ${\Bbb M}.$ This is a 2-fold central extension of the Baby Monster, the second largest sporadic simple group. The Virasoro Algebra and Some Exceptional Lie and Finite Groups

We describe a number of relationships between properties of the vacuum Verma module of a Virasoro algebra and the automorphism group of certain vertex operator algebras. These groups include the Deligne exceptional series of simple Lie groups and some exceptional finite simple groups including the Monster and Baby Monster.
