In the present paper we discuss about a set of geometric properties and physical applications of a mixed quasi-Einstein spacetime$[M(QE)_{4}]$, which is a special type of nearly quasi-Einstein spacetime$[N(QE)_{4}]$. Firstly we consider a nearly quasi-Einstein manifold$[N(QE)_{n}]$ along with a mixed quasi-Einstein manifold$[M(QE)_{n}]$ and study some geometric conditions with respect to different curvature tensors on them. Then we consider a mixed quasi-Einstein spacetime and study $W_{2}$-Ricci pseudosymmetry and projective Ricci pseudosymmetry on it. Then we study the conditions $H \cdot S=0$ and $\tilde C \cdot S=0$ in an $M(QE)_{4}$ spacetime, where $H, \tilde C$ are the conharmonical curvature tensor and semiconformal curvature tensor respectively. Next we consider a semiconformally flat Ricci pseudosymmetric $M(QE)_{4}$ spacetime and find the nature of that spacetime. In the next section we study about some applications of a perfect fluid $M(QE)_{4}$ spacetime in the general theory of relativity. Followed by we discuss about the Ricci soliton structure in a semiconformally flat $M(QE)_{4}$ spacetime satisfying Einstein field equation without cosmological constant. Finally we give a nontrivial example of a $M(QE)_{4}$ spacetime to establish the existence of it.
We describe conditions under which a spacetime connection and a scaled Lorentzian metric define natural symplectic and Poisson structures on the tangent bundle of the Einstein spacetime.
One of the central difficulties of settling the $L^2$-bounded curvature conjecture for the Einstein -Vacuum equations is to be able to control the causal structure of spacetimes with such limited regularity. In this paper we show how to circumvent this difficulty by showing that the geometry of null hypersurfaces of Enstein-Vacuum spacetimes can be controlled in terms of initial data and the total curvature flux through the hypersurface.
In the present paper we discuss about a set of geometric and physical properties of hyper-generalised quasi-Einstein spacetime. At the beginning we discuss about pseudosymmetry over a hyper-generalised quasi-Einstein spacetime. Here we discuss about W2-Ricci pseudosymmetry, Z-Ricci pseudosymmetry, Ricci pseudosymmetry and projective pseudosymmetry over a hyper-generalised quasi-Einstein spacetime. Later on we take over Ricci symmetric hyper-generalised quasi-Einstein spacetime and derive a set of important geometric and physical theorems over it. Moving further we consider some physical applic…
It is shown that any two-dimensional spacetimes with compact Cauchy surfaces can be causally isomorphically imbedded into the two-dimensional Einstein's static universe. Also, it is shown that any two-dimensional globally hyperbolic spacetimes are conformally equivalent to a subset of the two-dimensional Einstein's static universe.
We review recent work on the Einstein equations of general relativity when the curvature is defined in a weak sense. Weakly regular spacetimes are constructed, in which impulsive gravitational waves, as well as shock waves, propagate.
Based on a general $(1+3)$ threading of the spacetime $(M,g)$, we obtain a new and simple splitting of a both the Einstein field equations (EFE) and the conservation laws in $(M,g)$. As an application we obtain the splitting of (EFE) in an almost FLRW universe with energy-momentum tensor of a perfect fluid. In particular, we state the perturbation Friedman equations in an almost FLRW universe.
This paper has been withdrawn by the author, since some results of the paper have been already obtained in [J.~Lewandowski, Class. Quantum Grav. 9 (1992), no. 10, L147--L151.]
We construct infinite-dimensional families of non-singular static space times, solutions of the vacuum Einstein-Maxwell equations with a negative cosmological constant. The families include an infinite-dimensional family of solutions with the usual AdS conformal structure at conformal infinity.
The Einstein Equation on 4-dimensional Lorentzian manifolds admitting recurrent null vector fields is discussed. Several examples of a special form are constructed. The holonomy algebras, Petrov types and the Lie algebras of Killing vector fields of the obtained metrics are found.
The aim of this paper is to extend the notion of all known quasi-Einstein manifolds like generalized quasi-Einstein, mixed generalized quasi-Einstein manifold, pseudo generalized quasi-Einstein manifold and many more and name it comprehensive quasi Einstein manifold C(QE)$_{n}$. We investigate some geometric and physical properties of the comprehensive quasi Einstein manifolds C(QE)$_{n}$ under certain conditions. We study the conformal and conharmonic mappings between C(QE)$_{n}$ manifolds. Then we examine the C(QE)$_{n}$ with harmonic Weyl tensor. We investigate geometric and physical proper…
We consider expanding vacuum spacetimes with a CMC foliation by compact spacelike hypersurfaces. Under scale invariant a priori geometric bounds (type-III), we show that there are arbitrarily large future time intervals that are modelled by a flat spacetime or a Kasner spacetime. We give related results for a class of expanding vacuum spacetimes that do not satisfy the a priori bounds (type-II).
In this paper we prove a global existence theorem, in the direction of cosmological expansion, for sufficiently small perturbations of a family of $n+1$-dimensional, $n \geq 3$, spatially compact spacetimes which generalizes the $k=-1$ Friedmann--Robertson--Walker vacuum spacetime. Our results demonstrate causal geodesic completeness of the perturbed spacetimes, in the expanding direction, and show that the scale-free geometry converges towards an element in the moduli space of Einstein geometries, with a rate of decay depending on the stability properties of the Einstein geometry.
We investigate the local regularity of pointed spacetimes, that is, time-oriented Lorentzian manifolds in which a point and a future-oriented, unit timelike vector (an observer) are selected. Our main result covers the class of Einstein vacuum spacetimes. Under curvature and injectivity bounds only, we establish the existence of a local coordinate chart defined in a ball with definite size in which the metric coefficients have optimal regularity. The proof is based on quantitative estimates, on one hand, for a constant mean curvature (CMC) foliation by spacelike hypersurfaces defined locally n…
We investigate the initial value problem for the Einstein-Euler equations of general relativity under the assumption of Gowdy symmetry on T3, and we construct matter spacetimes with low regularity. These spacetimes admit, both, impulsive gravitational waves in the metric (for instance, Dirac mass curvature singularities propagating at light speed) and shock waves in the fluid (i.e., discontinuities propagating at about the sound speed). Given an initial data set, we establish the existence of a future development and we provide a global foliation in terms of a globally and geometrically define…
We give necessary and sufficient conditions for warped product manifolds with 1-dimensional base, and in particular, for generalized Robertson-Walker spacetimes, to satisfy some generalized Einstein metric condition. We also construct suitable examples of such manifolds. They are quasi-Einstein or not.
Let X be a Kähler manifold and D be a R-divisor with simple normal crossing support and coefficients between 1/2 and 1. Assuming that K_X+D is ample, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a negatively curved Kahler-Einstein metric on X\D having mixed Poincaré and cone singularities according to the coefficients of D. As an application we prove a vanishing theorem for certain holomorphic tensor fields attached to the pair (X,D).
The aim of this survey is to give an overview on the geometry of Einstein maximal globally hyperbolic 2+1 spacetimes of arbitrary curvature, conatining a complete Cauchy surface of finite type. In particular a specialization to the finite type case of the canonicla Wick rotation-rescaling theory, previously developed by the authors, is provided. This includes, for arbitrary curvatures, parameterizations in terms of suitable measured geodesic laminations on open hyperbolic surfaces of finite type. The same geometric objects also parameterize complex projective structures on the surfaces. The co…
