We present cross-section expectations for various processes and collider options, for benchmark scenarios of the Inert Doublet Model, a Two Higgs Doublet Model with a dark matter candidate. The proposed scenarios are consistent with current dark matter constraints, including the most recent bounds from the XENON1T experiment and relic density, as well as with known collider and low-energy limits. These benchmarks, chosen in earlier work for studies at $e^+e^-$ colliders, exhibit a variety of kinematic features that should be explored at current and future runs of the LHC. We provide cross sections for all relevant production processes at 13 TeV, 27 TeV and 100 TeV proton collider, as well as for a possible 10 TeV and 30 TeV muon collider.
We discuss two models that extend the Standard Model by additional particles, leading to additional scalar states, and also providing dark matter candidates. We briefly review the current constraints and comment on production cross sections at present and future collider facilities.
The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model that can provide a viable dark matter (DM) candidate. Despite its simplicity, it predicts a versatile phenomenology both for cosmology and for the Large Hadron Collider. We briefly summarize the status of searches for IDM dark matter in direct DM detection experiments and the LHC, focusing on the impact of the latter on the model parameter space. In particular, we discuss the consequences of the Higgs boson discovery as well as those of searches for dileptons accompanied by missing transverse energy during th…
The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is a simple extension of the Standard Model (SM) that aims to address the naturalness problem, electroweak baryogenesis and accommodate a viable dark matter (DM) candidate, along with a rich phenomenlogy in terms of collider signatures. In this note, we address the constraints on the IDM by recasting dilepton + missing energy searches performed for Supersymmetry at LHC run-1 using Madanalysis5.
In this study of the Inert Doublet Model (IDM), we propose that the dijet + missing transverse energy channel at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be an effective way of searching for the scalar particles of the IDM. This channel receives contributions from gauge boson fusion, and $t-$channel production, along with contributions from $H^+$ associated production. We perform the analysis including study of the Standard Model (SM) background with assumed systematic uncertainty, and optimise the selection criteria employing suitable cuts on the kinematic variables to maximise the signal signifi…
The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is a simple extension of the Standard Model, introducing an additional Higgs doublet that brings in four new scalar particles. The lightest of the IDM scalars is stable and is a good candidate for a dark matter particle. The potential of discovering the IDM scalars in the experiment at the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), an e$^{+}$e$^{-}$ collider proposed as the next generation infrastructure at CERN, has been tested for two high-energy running stages, at 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV centre-of-mass energy. The CLIC sensitivity to pair-production of the charged IDM scalars w…
The Inert Doublet Model(IDM) is one of the simplest extensions beyond Standard Model(SM) with an extended scalar sector, which provide a scalar dark matter particle candidate. In this paper, we investigate the double charged Higgs production at $γγ$ collider. By scanning the whole parameter space, we obtain the parameter points corresponding to the correct relic abundance of dark matter. After applying all theoretical and experimental constraints, the parameter space for the existence of dark matter is extremely restricted. We perform the analysis for the signal of $H^+H^-$ production in the I…
In this article we consider a comparative study between Type-I 2HDM and $Y=0$, $SU(2)$ triplet extensions having one $Z_2$-odd doublet and triplet that render the desired dark matter(DM). For the inert doublet model (IDM) either a neutral scalar or pseudoscalar can be the DM, whereas for inert triplet model (ITM) it is a CP-even scalar. The bounds from perturbativity and vacuum stability are studied for both the scenarios by calculating the two-loop beta functions. While the quartic couplings are restricted to $0.1-0.2$ for a Planck scale perturbativity for IDM, these are much relaxed ($0.8$ )…
We revisit the multilepton ($ml$) + ${E\!\!\!\!/_T}$ + $X$ signatures of the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) of dark matter in future LHC experiments for $m =$ 3, 4 and simulate, for the first time, the $m = 5$ case. Here $X$ stands for any number of jets. We illustrate these signals with benchmark points consistent with the usual constraints like unitarity, perturbativity, the precision electroweak data, the observed dark matter relic density of the Universe and, most importantly, the stringent LHC constraints from the post Higgs ($h$) discovery era like the measured $M_h$ and the upper bound on th…
Within the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) there is a viable dark matter candidate. This simple model can provide a strong enough first order phase transition, which is required in order to account for the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe (BAU). However, another necessary ingredient is missing, as there is no additional source of CP violation in the IDM, besides the standard CKM phase from the Standard Model. Additional CP violating phase can appear if a complex singlet of $SU(3)_C \times SU(2)_W \times U(1)_Y$ with a non-zero vacuum expectation value is added to the scalar sector of the …
The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) was proposed as the next energy-frontier infrastructure at CERN, to study e$^+$e$^-$ collisions at three centre-of-mass energy stages: 380 GeV, 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV. The main goal of its high-energy stages is to search for the new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is one of the simplest SM extensions and introduces four new scalar particles: H$^\pm$, A and H; the lightest, H, is stable and hence a natural dark matter (DM) candidate. A set of benchmark points is considered, which are consistent with current theoretical and expe…
Searches in final states with two leptons plus missing transverse energy, targeting supersymmetric particles or invisible decays of the Higgs boson, were performed during Run 1 of the LHC. Recasting the results of these analyses in the context of the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) using MadAnalysis 5, we show that they provide constraints on inert scalars that significantly extend previous limits from LEP. Moreover, these LHC constraints allow to test the IDM in the limit of very small Higgs-inert scalar coupling, where the constraints from direct detection of dark matter and the invisible Higgs wi…
We study the strength of a first-order electroweak phase transition in the Inert Doublet Model (IDM), where particle dark matter (DM) is comprised of the lightest neutral inert Higgs boson. We improve over previous studies in the description and treatment of the finite-temperature effective potential and of the electroweak phase transition. We focus on a set of benchmark models inspired by the key mechanisms in the IDM leading to a viable dark matter particle candidate, and illustrate how to enhance the strength of the electroweak phase transition by adjusting the masses of the yet undiscovere…
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) provides data which give information on dark matter. In particular, measurements related to the Higgs sector lead to strong constraints on the invisible sector which are competitive with astrophysical limits. Some recent LHC results on dark matter coming from the Higgs sector in the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) are presented.
We study associated Higgs production with a photon at electron-positron colliders, $e^+e^-\to hγ$, in various extended Higgs models, such as the inert doublet model (IDM), the inert triplet model (ITM) and the two Higgs doublet model (THDM). The cross section in the standard model (SM) is maximal around $\sqrt{s}=$250 GeV, and we present how and how much the new physics can enhance or reduce the production rate. We also discuss the correlation with the $h\toγγ$ and $h\to Zγ$ decay rates. We find that, with a sizable coupling to a SM-like Higgs boson, charged scalars can give considerable contr…
The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model (SM), providing a dark matter candidate. It is a two Higgs doublet model with a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry, that prevents the scalars of the second doublet (inert scalars) from coupling to the SM fermions and makes the lightest of them stable. We study a large group of IDM scenarios, which are consistent with current constraints on direct detection, including the most recent bounds from the XENON1T experiment and relic density of dark matter, as well as with all collider and low-energy limits. We propose a set o…

Hadron colliders are providing a unique opportunity for testing Lorentz invariance and CPT symmetry at high energy and in a laboratory. A first measurement in the top-quark sector was performed at the Tevatron. We present here prospective studies for testing Lorentz invariance in top-quark pair production at the LHC and future colliders. The b-quark sector was investigated recently at LHCb. Eventually, new bounds on photon parameters can be extracted from the observation of TeV photons at the LHC. We will conclude by highlighting other opportunities provided by hadron colliders.
We made global fits of the inert Higgs doublet model (IDM) in the light of collider and dark matter search limits and the requirement for a strongly first-order electroweak phase transition (EWPT). These show that there are still IDM parameter spaces compatible with the observational constraints considered. In particular, the data and theoretical requirements imposed favour the hypothesis for the existence of a scalar dark matter candidate around 100 GeV. This is mostly due to the pull towards lower masses by the EWPT constraint. The impact of electroweak precision measurements, the dark matte…
This paper investigates a signature of Lorentz invariance violation with the $t\bar{t}$ production at the LHC and future hadron colliders. Possible deviations from the Lorentz symmetry remain poorly constrained in the top quark sector. With a dedicated analysis of $t\bar{t}$ events produced at the LHC, bounds in the top sector can be improved by up to three orders of magnitude relative to Tevatron, the only measurement existing so far. The sensitivity will be even further enhanced at the HL-LHC and future colliders.
We discuss the collider phenomenology of the model of Minimal Universal Extra Dimensions (MUED) at the Large hadron Collider (LHC). We derive analytical results for all relevant strong pair-production processes of two level 1 Kaluza-Klein partners and use them to validate and correct the existing MUED implementation in the fortran version of the PYTHIA event generator. We also develop a new implementation of the model in the C++ version of PYTHIA. We use our implementations in conjunction with the CHECKMATE package to derive the LHC bounds on MUED from a large number of published experimental …
This article presents prospects for Lorentz-violation searches with $t\bar{t}$ at the LHC and future colliders. After a short presentation of the Standard-Model Extension as a Lorentz-symmetry-breaking effective field theory, we will focus on $t\bar{t}$ production. We study the impact of Lorentz violation as a function of center-of-mass energy and evaluate the sensitivity of collider experiments to this signal.
We investigate the potential of single Higgs boson production at the LHC and at egamma mode of future linear electron-positron collider to probe non-standard HZgamma and Hgammagamma couplings. We consider the semi-elastic production process pp-> p gamma p-> pHqX at the LHC where q represents the quarks and X represents the remnants of one of the initial protons. We also study the single Higgs production through gamma e-> He in the egamma collision at the future linear collider. We perform a model-independent analysis and obtain the sensitivity bounds on the non-standard Higgs couplings for bot…
The discovery potential of both singlet and doublet vector-like leptons (VLLs) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) as well as at the not-so-far future muon and electron machines is explored. The focus is on a single production channel for LHC direct searches while double production signatures are proposed for the leptonic colliders. A Deep Learning algorithm to determine the discovery (or exclusion) statistical significance at the LHC is employed. While doublet VLLs can be probed up to masses of 1 TeV, their singlet counterparts have very low cross sections and can hardly be tested beyond a few…
We study the signatures of the triplet-quadruplet dark matter model at the LHC and future colliders, including the 100 TeV Super Proton-Proton Collider and the 240 GeV Circular Electron Positron Collider. The dark sector in this model contains one fermionic electroweak triplet and two fermionic quadruplets, which have two kinds of Yukawa couplings to the Higgs doublet. Electroweak production signals of the dark sector fermions in the $\text{monojet}+/\!\!\!\!E_\mathrm{T}$, disappearing track, and $\text{multilepton}+/\!\!\!\!E_\mathrm{T}$ channels at the LHC and the Super Proton-Proton Collide…
The cross section for exclusive $Υ$ ultraperipheral photoproduction at present and future colliders is determined using the low $x$ gluon PDF extracted from an analysis of exclusive $J/ψ$ measurements performed at HERA and the LHC. Predictions are given at next-to-leading order in collinear factorisation over a wide $γp$ centre-of-mass energy range, calculated assuming the non-relativistic approximation for the $Υ$ wave function, and with skewing corrections incorporated.

We study the potential of future lepton colliders, running at the Z-pole and above, and the High-Luminosity LHC to search for the relaxion and other light scalars $ϕ$. We investigate the interplay of direct searches and precision observables for both CP-even and -odd couplings. In particular, precision measurements of exotic Z-decays, Higgs couplings, the exotic Higgs decay into a relaxion pair and associated $Zϕ$ and $γϕ$ production are promising channels to yield strong bounds.
Photoproduction of $ρ^0$ mesons in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions at energies available at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC)
We discuss the search for a CP-odd scalar decaying into gauge bosons in the framework of a CP-conserving two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) and of a 2HDM extended with a vector-like quark (VLQ) at the Large Hadron Collider and at a future 100 TeV collider. The rate of decay of a pseudoscalar to $Z$-bosons could be important to ascertain the CP-nature of the scalars in the model. In the 2HDM $A \to ZZ$ will be extremely hard to detect even at a future 100 TeV $pp$ collider while in the 2HDM+VLQ this decay can be probed even during the present LHC run. We further discuss all decays of the pseudoscal…
We introduce a numerical package FORward Experiment SEnsitivity Estimator, or FORESEE, that can be used to simulate the expected sensitivity reach of experiments placed in the far-forward direction from the proton-proton interaction point. The simulations can be performed for $14$ TeV collision energy characteristic for the LHC, as well as for larger energies: $27$ and $100$ TeV. In the package, a comprehensive list of validated forward spectra of various SM species is also provided. The capabilities of FORESEE are illustrated for the popular dark photon and dark Higgs boson models, as well as…
Stringent experimental constraints have raised the lower limit on the masses of squarks to TeV levels, while compatibility with the mass of the Higgs boson provides an upper limit. This two-sided bound has lead to the emergence of Mini-Split theories where gauginos are not far removed from the electroweak scale while scalars are somewhat heavier. This small hierarchy modifies the spectrum of standard anomaly and gauge mediation, leading to Mini-Split deflected anomaly and gauge mediation models. In this paper, we study LHC constraints on these models and their prospects at LHC 14 and a 100 TeV…
We study the collider phenomenology of the electroweak phase transition and electroweak baryogenesis in the framework of the effective field theory. Our study shows that the effective theory using the dimension-6 operators can enforce strong first order phase transition and provide sizable CP violation to realize a successful electroweak baryogenesis. Such dimension-6 operators can induce interesting Higgs phenomenology that can be verified at colliders such as the LHC and the planning CEPC. We then demonstrate that this effective theory can originate from vector-like quarks and the triplet Hi…
With an eye toward the precision physics of the LHC, FCC-ee and possible high energy muon colliders, we present the extension of the CEEX (coherent exclusive exponentiation) realization of the YFS approach to resummation in our KK MC to include the processes f\bar{f}\rightarrow f'\bar{f'}, f=μ,τ, q,ν_\ell, f'=e, μ,τ, q, ν_\ell, q=u,d,s,c,b,t, \ell =e,μ,τwith f \ne f'. After giving a brief summary of the CEEX theory with reference to the older EEX (exclusive exponentiation) theory, we illustrate theoretical results relevant to the LHC, FCC-ee, and possible muon collider physics programs.
Large fermionic multiplets appear in different extensions of the Standard Model (SM), which are essential to predict small neutrino masses, relic abundance of the dark matter (DM) and the measured value of muon anomalous magnetic moment (muon (g-2)). Models containing quintuplet of fermions ($Σ$), along with other scalar multiplets, can address recent anomalies in the flavor sector while satisfying the constraints from the electroweak physics. In standard scenarios, the exotic fermions couple with the SM particles directly and there exists a strong limit on their masses from collider experimen…
In the light of the 125 GeV Higgs ($h$) discovery at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), one of the primary goals of the LHC and possible future colliders is to understand its interactions more precisely. Here we have studied the $h$-$b$-$\bar b$-$γ$ effective interaction terms arising out of gauge invariant dimension six operators in a model independent setting, as a potential source of new physics. Their role in some detectable final states have been compared with those coming from anomalous $h$-$b$-$\bar b$ interactions. We have considered the bounds coming from the existing collider and other…
The study of the Higgs boson properties offers compelling perspectives for testing the effects of physics beyond the Standard Model and has deep implications for the LHC program and future colliders. Accurate determinations of the Higgs boson properties can provide us with a distinctively precise picture of the Higgs sector, set tight bounds, and predict ranges for the values of new physics model parameters. In this paper, we discuss the constraints on supersymmetry that can be derived by a determination of the Higgs boson mass and couplings. We quantify these constraints by using scans of the…
